THE RULES OF RE-HEATING Say it with me: wings go in the *air fryer*. Being the parents of two kids under 4, my wife and I find ourselves warming meals endlessly. Some things are fine - and fastest - when nuked in the microwave, but that tends to dry up certain things like poultry and meats, plus firing up the oven takes too long. Solution? AIR FRY THAT ISH. Last night I grabbed carryout from this Wingstop on Route 53 in Bolingbrook, a location I've stopped at only 4-5 times over the years (compared to dozens of pickups at Buffalo Wild Wings). The parking lot is tiny, not to mention tricky to get in & out of. Their classic wings ($12 for a 6pc combo) are fine, nothing special. My wife thinks their garlic parmesan is better than Bdubs, and I prefer Wingstop's 'original hot' to that of the competition. The 5pc Cajun fried corn wheels ($0.80 upcharge w/combo) are a fun diversion from wings, albeit an equally messy endeavor. The crispy tenders ($10 for 3pc combo) were anything but crispy, and the mango habanero was lacking in flavor and quantity. Bdubs' mango habanero sets my hair on fire, yet the same sauce at Wingstop doesn't even make me flinch. The disparity between these two is absolutely NUTS! Fries were soggy, which I attribute more to the steam trapped within the Styrofoam clamshell, than the cheese sauce itself ($0.90 extra). I happen to like this natural fresh-cut style, but even I had to admit that this batch had nary a single crispy fry. Their fountain drink dispensers were totally wonky (both sweet tea AND pop) so neither of our 20oz sodas came out right. Lots of other Wingstops have a Coke Freestyle machine but for some reason this location is still using antiquated crap from the 90's that can't figure out the right syrup/CO2 mixture. Get with the times, yo! * TL;DR * An out-of-whack soda fountain, underwhelming fries, and uncharacteristically bland mango habanero equates to a modest failure. The Wingstop on Archer Ave in Bedford Park is an improvement in literally every way--fresh wings slathered in sauce, piping hot (yet still crispy) cheese fries, and a drink dispenser I don't want to beat the living sh*t out of. Now that I've finally written a review for this location, I can mosey on by in search of something better. Not recommending this one, nope. read more

Wingstop - This Wingstop is very "meh". They really need a new drink machine, that thing is OLD! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Bolingbrook, Illinois

I have read and seen all the feedback for this location. At first I was hesitant, but decided to give it a shot. I am a local and have visited this location probably since they opened. Within some years quality had gone down and orders were made sloppy. Fast forward to now. They must have new management or a damn good person managing the fryer! My food has been so good! Hot fries and hot wings seasoned perfectly! Great job WINGSTOP! I will continue to order cuz I do not like BDUBS do yourself a favor and order Rosati's pizza too! read more

leaves you on hold for extended periods of time when you call to place an order. sometimes rude depends on who answer.

Update (3/21/2019): I just received a call from the owner of the store. He was a very pleasant individual and we spoke about my experience here. He apologized to me for the way that I was treated and offered to refund the amount of my entire order. I tried to decline, but he insisted. I think that his attempt to reach out and make this right says alot about his integrity and his desire to keep repeat customers. What surprised me most was that the Yelp review never came up. I would have thought that he was monitoring the reviews and would have asked me to possibly change my perspective. That made me feel better about his motive and his integrity. It felt like he genuinely wanted to keep a customer. I do think that the place can do a bit better on issues that are mentioned in the reviews that this place has received, but at least there is a willingness to try to do better for themselves and their customers. I'm going to give them one more shot and see what the food is like then. Perhaps this review will get another update. ============================================= I just had the WORST experience with this place. I ordered delivery service and the driver was very polite and apologetic, as there was a 32 oz. soda left off my order. I tried to call the store to give them an opportunity to make it right and they told me that they: * Could not refund the cost of the soda (I can't see why not as it is the store AND the driver's responsibility to double-check the order to make sure it is correct) * Could not arrange to deliver my soda to me. He then, quite arrogantly, told me that I could come and pick it up, to which I replied I could not as I do not have a car -- the reason I chose delivery in the first place. He then said he would "give me a free large one when I came in next." as if I would EVER revisit someplace with such horrible customer service. That told me that he wasn't interested in making this right as he was not even looking at my order or he would have seen very clearly that I had already ordered a large soda, so the upgrade that he thought he was giving me was nothing more than what I had asked for in the first place. His solution, "Well I'll give you two then!" The issue is not the soda, sir. The issue is that I gave you every opportunity to retain business and you rejected it, cast it aside, spat on it, and ground it into the dirt as if to say that my business was not necessary or appreciated. Well, kudos. Since that it the case I will take my dollars elsewhere. Oh, and change the grease in your fryer. I just looked at my fries and I am afraid to eat them as they look like they have absorbed all of the grease they possibly could instead of being crispy and golden. I am now starting to regret the 2 wings I have already eaten, not knowing what ill effect they will have on my constitution. read more

Wingstop - CHANGE THE GREASE!!! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Bolingbrook, Illinois

My chicken sandwich was so delicious. Every time I order here my food is fresh and delicious.

The Bolingbrook location needs to improve on their in-store service. Placed an online order, but it took so long that I might as well just have walked in. Never been to a Wingstop this slow. read more

Their system glitched making my order a carry out when I want it delivered, have me a hard time with my order. I told them I'll have someone pick it up but they was worried about it being cold, I wasn't worried about it at all because I would warm it up at home. Someone went to the store and I was told they threw it away when I told them not too. They didn't bother to tell me or even call me back. They threw my food out and now I couldn't get store credit read more

Eaten here twice in two very separate occasions and I was sick to my stomach. Throwing up, running to the bathroom, absolutely terrible. They also Dumped oil all over my chicken and said it was sauce... read more

Well if you want dry dehydrated fries that look like they've been sitting for weeks this is the place to go. The wings were cold, over cooked and had barely any sauce on them. They literally wrapped up three slices of celery and three slices of carrots in paper and threw them on the bottom of everything else. Will definitely never visit this location again. read more

It was ok the fries were good but the lemon pepper wings were super salty overall two stars

Every time I order from this location I regret it smh this time my fries were cold and unseasoned. I ALWAYS ask for blu cheese I HATE ranch and every time I get ranch in my bag there's no way the staff is paying attention to orders because how has this happened on every visit?! I love Wingstop, but this location is garbage. Absolutely terrible customer service and the girl taking our order was on a phone call. We waited 30 minutes for our food even though there was only 2 other people waiting. This location is so understaffed. The food is always wrong and way too greasy. If you want Wingstop it is worth the drive to go to another location. read more

By for the worst Wingstop!! Staff half listens, missing half my order not once but twice before... i don't have time to keep running back and forth for a simple 50pc wing for my family because they mess up my order...I will not be coming back to this location and will recommend NONE of my friends and family to come to this location.. read more

This is a fast casual chicken wing place. The selection is simple: boneless and traditional wings with about 12 sauces, french fries, and a few sides. Everything is cooked to order, so my meal was nice and hot. I got 5 boneless Hawaiian, 5 boneless Spicy Korean Q, fries and a drink for about 12 bucks. The fries were really good; the wings were really really good. There was enough sauce to give a great flavor, but it never felt overpowering. The wait was about 10 minutes. The place is pretty clean. There are 3 pretty big TVs you can watch while you wait. read more

This is my go-to wings place when I want to Pick something up after work. This time around I picked up and over heard Vipul arguing with a costumer on the phone and then argued with me when I told him he got my order wrong. Like dude, I'm sorry if you're having a horrible day, but don't take it out on your customers. You work in the service industry, have some courtesy. read more

We've resisted ordering from here since we moved to Illinois almost 10 years ago. Why did we wait? We love wings! We love fries! We love ranch dressing! During the pandemic we grew tired of the same ole, same ole so we took a chance and ordered Wingstop. We've ordered it to be delivered about 5x times now and haven't been disappointed yet. Their sauces are tasty, their voodoo fries are spicy and yummy and don't get me started on the ranch dressing. We also really enjoy the garlic parm tenders but didn't care for garlic parm wings. read more

First time back in awhile. Saw on menu hot lemon wings which I had to try. They were great. Order was accurate and ready on time. Service was very friendly will be back again read more

Wings are gross, fries are always cold and soggy. Service is ok, would not recommend whatsoever

DONT EVEN BOTHER. This is a joke of a restaurant. The staff Made an error in double creating my order and the demanded I pay for both orders so they don't have to waste food. I told him it was fault and that I don't have to pay for two lunches because of it. He then started screaming in my face and told me to "shut the hell up now buddy" demanding about how I need to pay for both orders. I said have a nice day and left. The staff is rude, untrained, and an absolute joke. Also the restaurant was FILTHY DIRTY. read more

When I walked in, nothing wow'd me. The person taking my order seemed angry I was there, mind you, there was only 2 other people there on lunch time. Immediately after I paid, I asked her to switch a sauce and she gave me attitude. All she had to do was grab the receipt and hand write the change, I watched her. Regardless, the wings are just okay. Good portions but I've had much better sauces. The presentation is awful. I asked to dine in, but was given a take out bag with 1 box with 10 wings (2 sauces) jammed in. Fries were spilling into the bag. The oddest thing, after I ate, I walked around looking for a garbage can to realize they did not have one. It didn't feel like I could just leave it on the table so I asked and she told me to leave it on the counter. So I did, right in front of someone ordering. I'm sure that's exactly what they want to see when they order, my garbage. read more

We should have read all the previous reviews before we ordered here, but we were in the area so it was convenient. We called in an order, and they told us 25 minutes. It ended up being closer to an hour. When we complained, they gave us an extra fry but the other ones set aside for our order were already cold. We watched them put our order together and it was terrible. No gloves & they didn't wash their hands. One customer eating there, went to the front and said he did not receive his veggie sticks. They told him ok, but they gave him fries and he needed to return them. Most restaurants would just tell the customer to keep them. The worst part is when the customer returned the fries, the worker proceeded to pack those fries into another pick up order....TERRIBLE! It should have been thrown out. Finally, what appeared to be the Manager, walked into the store. She did not wash her hands but proceeded to assist with the handling and packaging of food. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this location. Drive the extra distance to the Naperville location. Staff is very friendly and they do believe in food hygiene. read more

So glad this place FINALLY opened up. Now I must agree with the other reviews that the staff is young and may need some additional customer service training. Aside from that. The wings are ALWAYS good. I only get one kind which is lemon pepper. I've tried other flavored at other Wingstop locations but they don't compare to the lemon pepper. Now as far as the wait is concerned, it is pretty long even when I called in ahead of time. Some kinks along the road but it's to be expected for a new restaurant. I won't crucify them though. I hope they stay around though...all of these restaurants in this area are closing "temporarily" but never open back up. *shrugs* read more

30 minute wait in an empty restaurant for 10 boneless wings. Unbelievable. If they didn't already have my money I would have walked out. If the owner is trying to blame COVID for why they are going under they should stand (no chairs out to wait) in this place for a while to figure it out. read more

I was a very good service and great for a dinner but my only complain is the are not very clean but the rest is great

The service here is horrible. I came to pick up my order and they over charged me for the wrong order then I had to wait 25 min just for them to correct their error. One star on this review for the girl staff calling out the guy who charged me incorrectly because he made it seem like she put the order wrong. I literature stood there for over 30min for a pick order. There was a ton of people waiting. read more

I would give them zero stars if it was an option. This place is a joke. Placed an order online and it said order will be ready in 20-25 minutes. It's been already 50 mins and my food is still not ready. As im waiting for my food there are 2 other customers complaining that their food is wrong. Time before that I purchased food when I got home i realized the order was completely wrong. Had to drive back for them to remake it. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER When we arrived to pick up our order we were given the wrong order and somehow it was OUR fault. My adult son picked up the order, we double checked it in the car. When we went back inside with the wrong chicken wing flavor, it was discovered that they had 2 on line orders placed with the name "Chris" and NONE of the employees thought to double check with the customer our order. Then the MANAGER re-bagged the order including fries, which I carried back inside, in front of the 2nd "Chris" and attempted to give her the order which had been taken out of the restaurant, opened up twice and gave to the customer - Are you Kidding me??? This will be my LAST we ever order from this location!!! All of the young employees did NOT care or apologize for the error and were ALL on their phones when we came in. We were made to fell the order mix up was our fault. All 4 employees were standing around on their phones when we walked back in read more

Lemon Pepper wings was delicious . Fries was good too with regular and with cajun seasoning.

The food is always good. We got lemon pepper, bbq and hot wings with some part fried as a side. But the place seemed kind of dirty in the dining area and even the kitchen! That's a bit of a pet peeve for me as I've worked in the food industry before and cleanliness is crucial. read more

Hate to say, but they cannot get orders correct. I understand that their is a national employment shortage, but following the order on a list is still possible. Long waits plus wrong orders spells disaster. Staff seem distracted. One can be seen on their phone. My hope is they get it together because Wingstop is one of my favorite restaurants. read more

Such a disappointment. There used to be a Wingstop in Glen Ellyn off Roosevelt, absolutely loved it. When i saw there was one close to my friends house Friday night, I had to go. I was told 10 minutes for my order. It took 30. I stood there the whole time. When I finally got my order I made a comment about how long it took and the (probably manager at least shift leader) looked at me and said "yeah". "Yeah"!?! Are you kidding me? It was beyond rude. No apology, no nothing. Just a "yeah". The food is good, but we have a million options out here, no time for terrible customer service. I didn't want anything for her but an apology. I was in the restaurant industry for years. Keep your customers abreast of any changes in time, and apologize when your service clearly disappoints. I will never come back to this location simply because of the way i was treated, and it's a shame because the wings and fries are pretty darn good. read more

I've been a going to this location for years and the quality of the staff reflects the quality of the food, many times I'd go and watch as the employees argue back and forth over who takes my order. Often they'll send the newer employees who don't know how to work the register while they go in the back and get on their phones Often times sitting on the counters and other surfaces they may use to prepare the food we happily eat. There are times where the senior staff will look me in the eye and turn their backs. But the food is a problem even of itself for starters the bigger the order the more they'll rush it out the fryer sometimes pulling it up minutes before its ready yes they will willingly serve undercooked chicken if it means they don't have to look at the people who keeps this establishment running. There are other times where well-done will be asked for and they'll look you in the eye and put it on the ticket but it's just cooked for the normal about of time and they say it's well done. I know this review is long but someone has to say it long calls, horrible costumer support, constant mess ups, 1-2 hour wait times for 10 WINGS AND A DRINK, dirty dining areas, pitch black oil, constant bickering among employees, wing-stop has fallen off and may never return read more
