The owner is delightful and engages you in conversation as she packs the food . The restaurant is showing its age, but remains one of the remaining soul food restaurants in South King County in Washington. I had the fried catfish, chicken, and fries. The thing about soul food is that it all about the seasonings. Now, I prefer the cornmeal/flour coating over batter; the owner does this well. The catfish was well seasoned and the fish was tender. This is the fine line between frying it until it's as dry as the desert or perfection as was done here. The same was for the chicken wings. Light coating, crunchy, and seasoned well. Now her cornbread is good, but she should throw her fires in the trash. They are overcooked and just a let down to an otherwise nice lunch experience. Since she only does take out or cater, the place looks more like a place of storage than a restaurant. It is quiet with mini refrigerators displaying desserts and soda. Surprisingly, the owner does not serve shrimp. A bit of a surprise and I would quickly get them for lunch if they were prepared as well as the catfish. I would rate higher, and keep in mind the the prices are higher than you would expect but happy to pay again if she smoothes out some of the edges of her space and sides that accompany such wonderful catfish and chicken.

They have a wide selection of Asian food and everything we've had has been very good. Last night we had several dishes but the stand out was the Agedashi Tofu. Most places use firm tofu which does the dish no service. This was more like silken tofu and was absolutely the best I've had in a really long time, the service often is spotty and you might never see your server again after you order but the food makes up for that.

I've also been here on Saturday evenings when the wait has been 30 minutes to an hour, so I think we just picked a good time to visit. We started with the spicy cucumber salad (which I somehow forgot to take a picture of), and then my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken while I had the beef and broccoli. The server was very friendly, and all of the food came out fresh, hot, and tasted really good. I especially appreciated that everything was served nice and hot. The biggest downside for me was the price. I understand it's inside the casino, but it still felt expensive for what you're getting. My husband's General Tso's chicken with a small serving of rice was around $23, my beef and broccoli was $26, and even the small bowl of cucumber salad was $9 before tax. While my portion was definitely generous, it still felt like a pricey meal for Chinese food. Overall, the food was good and I'd eat here again if I was craving it, but it's definitely one of the more expensive dining options inside Muckleshoot. If you're planning to eat here, I'd expect to spend at least around $25 per person before drinks and tax.

I asked her for a suggestion on which pizza I should try and she said I should try the Kashmir and I said you know what, let's do it. When I finished my beverage, she promptly provided refills. During the short time I waited for the pizza I was able to take in the wonderful ambience and the decor. It's got this gritty old school concert venue/dive bar type style while being fresh and family friendly. You could bring the Bros, go on a date, or treat the kiddos after a baseball game. When the pizza arrived Sarah warned me that it was hot and I foolishly ignored her. The first bite scalds my tongue and I actually take a second bite before I realize my mistake because it was just that delicious. I think that the Kashmir might actually be the greatest pizza I've ever had. Who would've thought that a pizza could still blow my mind with how delicious it is? Well folks, this one did. Thank you for keeping wood fired pizza alive. I appreciate you folks over there at the Rock!
