Had never heard of them until another independent restaurant owner mentioned them on IG but they have had a food truck for awhile. They are carry out only and made to order. I placed my order and they brought it out to my car when ready in about 15 min. Super friendly and genuinely nice people. I made it to a neighboring parking lot before I had to explore my bag. Waffle fries were hot and crisp and chicken nicely breaded and good sized pieces. Swagg sauce was slightly addictive. I've gotten many recommendations from folks who said some place was the best friend chicken and sadly it never was. The closest you get is Popeyes, so when I saw this food truck parked in Westlake Square during lunch, I was all on board to try it and holy smokes and I glad I did. Their chicken is seasoned to perfection and so very juicy!! The fries are also the costars in this show, and they are phenomenal! Going to try the collard greens today as they are on the schedule today! If you really love fried chicken, then try this place. The staff is super nice and helpful. Great food and well worth the price. I got the two peice chicken/fries and ordered a side of greens. Greens were tender and flavorful and what im used to having in the south. The fried chicken was VERY well seasoned, crispy and juicy. Waffle fries were crispy and also well seasoned like curly fries. The swag sauce was excellent, definitely try it! They don't have a vast menu, but they are really good at what they do. Losing a star because their hot sauce is a generic sauce packet and I think if you are doing wings this good you should elevate your hot sauce game. Second trial: The chicken strips were crispy and seasoned and juicy. Came with a choice of bbq sauce (my preferred) that was tangy, but not enough for my for 4 strips. I usually love collard greens but found them to be not to my tastes too salty and too vinegary or sour. I wish I had gotten the fries. My other issue is that the small 3x3 inch and 1.5cm thin cornbread square is definitely not worth $3 which was doughy like cake. It's a lot of strips, so good portion size and they were good. First trip; leg and thigh+ fries. Yum fries. I could probably eat a whole box of them. Chicken was seasoned and tasty. Not dry. I have walked past this food truck for a month or so and said...one day I'm going to stop and try their chicken. Well, today was the day. Across from Trader Joes in West Seattle, this (I'm assuming) family operation is the real deal. I ordered the 6 wings with fries (waffle)(and they come with syrup) and I also picked up the strips with collards. Chicken obviously breaded and seasoned in house and cooked to perfection, get the hot sauce for the chicken...you can't go wrong. Greens are good even though this was my first experience with collard greens and there may be a bit of a learning curve on these. It's got a nice spicy flavor to it without being too spicy and overall the flavorful breading is to die for. Their waffle fries?! So perfectly crispy and they come seasoned with a side of syrup!! As of right now, Swagg-N-Wagon has a solid 5 star rating on Yelp. Why? It is seriously THAT GOOD! I swung by here after seeing a story about it on a local TV station. I am obsessed with fried chicken and have tried most fried chicken places in the area. This place blows all others out of the water. I got the two piece jumbo leg and thigh with waffle fries. They are NOT lying about the jumbo part. I was initially thinking I'd be getting a small to moderately-sized leg and thigh, given the obscenely reasonable price. WRONG! When I picked the box up, I was caught off guard by just how heavy this meal was! The pieces are MASSIVE. I think Bok-a-Bok is the only other fried chicken place around here that serves such large pieces of chicken. They were also very generous with the waffle fries to boot. So you get lots of food for $10, but how good is it? It is seriously amazing. The chicken was SO crispy on the outside, and insanely juicy on the inside. The seasonings are amazing with a hint of heat and just the right amount of salt you crave in a good fried chicken. The waffle fries were wonderful too--again, really, really crispy and seasoned to perfection. I really cannot recommend Swagg-n-Wagon enough. My one and only complaint is the days/hours that this incredible food truck is open (they aren't around on the weekends and close at 6pm -- at least as of when I'm writing this review, but hopefully that changes soon!!!). I often don't eat dinner before 6pm, and I typically cook at home on the weeknights, so this place often isn't an option for dinner. But thank god they have a schedule that isn't entirely compatible with mine or I'd be eating here every day. I'm a major fan of fried chicken, so maybe I'm easily pleased, but this place makes all other places pale in comparison. Totally crispy yet perfectly juicy. Packed with flavor but not too rich. These people know how to make tasty chicken! I'm hoping they continue to succeed and get a storefront. Yes, there can be a long wait even when you try to get there right at opening but it's because they want to make sure the quality of their food is good and they have a small space (food truck). They do a great job communicating how long the wait will be so you do get a choice. I wish they frequented the area more days of the week or had earlier hours but I think that's part of being a start up and even more of a reason to show them support during these times. They are compliant with COVID-19 guidelines. The only thing that I think could use some improvement is their cornbread.
