I'd give it a 5 stars only if we didn't wait for too long. Our food took awhile to come out and having boys that are constantly hungry didn't help So it tested their patience. I like the food, however the fried rice was too oily for us. I wouldn't recommend dining in unless you don't mind waiting.

We stopped by this place for lunch on our way from exploring Tacoma and Puyallup and it was a great find --- definitely a hole in the wall. There was a couple of things off the bat that needs improvement: the sign says closed even though they are open so they definitely need to keep that updated each day, the place says it doesn't offer dine in and only take out or delivery, but you can do dine in. It's a weird layout but you can still dine in The owner guy is super nice, he is very friendly and loves to talk :) his hospitality is definitely a 5 star. He gave us complimentary egg rolls because our food was taking a bit of time Food: Blackened pepper beef (bo LUC lac) --- pretty good, if you are a meat eater this dish is for you, no carbs and meat is tender and juicy. Nam kao tod --- flavor is strong and rice is good but I do wish that the rice was crispier. Love that he was generous with the veggies too. Egg rolls -- these are pretty basic but was really good. I'm usually not a fan of egg rolls at restaurants because they are pretty skimpy or it's too heavy/greasy but this one felt delicious. Portion is ginormous!!!!! So come hungry. Those two dishes can probably feed 4-6 people in my opinion. We barely made a dent on our food and is having it for dinner as well as lunch the next day :)

Probably the best Tom Yum soup I've ever had. Service was swift and friendly.friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious. Prices were fair and serving size was appropriate. Careful on the spice level you order. My #2 spiced Papaya salad had a punch to it.

Brand new traditional pork, and shrimp, vermicelli salad just added to the menu.

This is a small new restaurant in Auburn that deserves all the love and support it can get. Chef and owner, Khiet, as a passion for the food that he makes. He makes food the way he would like to eat it, not necessarily in the way that makes the most profit. Portions are as good as you'll ever find anywhere. The flavors are always strong and delicious. There's not a bland dish on the menu. Is Asian wings are not to be trifled with they are amazing. Highly recommend the Lao Jeow Som And the Vietnamese garlic fish sauce flavors You will not find better Lao pork sausage anywhere. And the quality and cook of the beef and the Lok lak salad and Yum nua is something you have to experience for yourself. He makes many of his own sauces, and his papaya salad sauce dressing is rather famous as he sells it all over the west coast. The pork larb /laap salad is a flavor bomb. And so is the nam kao crispy rice salad. The vegetables and herbs are always so fresh and so flavorful you won't want to eat anywhere else when you have a hankering for Southeast Asian food . Update September 2023: Saap Fusion is expanding! He's knocked down a couple walls and reduce the size of his kitchen and now there is plenty of seating options! It's still under construction, but you can tell it's gonna be a really good place to eat And if you like Filipino food, he has a new in-store partner, Taglish halo halo Boyz. It's very popular with the local Filipinos and the fried chicken is a destination experience.

Was in search of some papaya salad and found this place. The fried tofu was crispy yet juicy on the inside. Had a citrus-like taste (no idea what it was but it was good. I had asked for the papaya to be spice level 5 and while it was not spicy (to my standards at least), it was still delicious nonetheless. Had this umami flavor that I can't really describe. I would definitely get this again. Please excuse my amateur photos of the food haha. I had taken a few bites already and had taken the little crab out of my papaya before I took the photos. Shoutout to Vivian for taking my order and being so hospitable.

The owner was really friendly, the food was delicious. Please give them a try. You wont be disappointed

When I called in, the lady that took the call struggled to take down my order. She was not familiar with the menu at all. I patiently repeated my order several times but she responded by naming different dishes. I was not confident that she would place my order correctly, so I asked to speak to another staff. Once I arrived, the same lady asked me if I was dining in and I told her multiple times that I had ordered take out. Then I found out that the order was never placed so the kitchen never made our food. There were no other customers there so I don't know how they didn't put in my order since I had placed it 10 minutes prior. To make matters worse, once we got home, we found out that they gave us an incorrect order. Instead of crispy garlic chicken and rice, we received a shrimp pad kee mow. This was extremely disappointing because my boyfriend does not eat seafood and doesn't like noodles in general. We went out of our way to come to this restaurant and chose Sweet Rice over other options that are closer to us. Considering the poor service, we will not be coming back or recommend it to others hence the 1 star review. I generally don't rate restaurants based on the service but the service was so bad that I lost my appetite for their food. I understand having to train new employees but there should be quality control measures in place to ensure that customers have a decent experience while new staff are training.

We got the usual Thai Fried Rice (chicken) and fried pork! Both was still as good as the first time we got it. We also wanted to try the tom yum and the combo chicken. It was the Hainanese chicken rice and the fried chicken (I forgot what it was called)... 1) the SAUCE that was added for the hainanese chicken was like crack. It was so good, and I forgot to ask him what it was! The rice was really soft and favorable. The fried chile. Was one the breadier side but was still amazing. We also tried the tom yum (with pork), which my partner really enjoyed. I thought it was on the sweeter side but he really loved it. I thought it was still really really good, and they didn't skimp out on the protein or Mushroom either. We'll definitely be back, and hopefully the mangos will be in season for mango sticky rice!

I absolutely love coming here on my lunch breaks -- it's comforting, consistent, and always hits the spot. It looks like they may be going through a name change or rebrand. The menus are new and the name printed on them is completely different from what I remember. I wish I had taken a photo because I can't recall the new name offhand, but it seems like a change may be coming soon. I ordered from the new lunch menu and went with the red curry, subbing chicken for tofu and ordering it three-star spicy. It was so good -- rich, flavorful, and perfect for a cold, rainy day. The new lunch special also comes with two spring rolls, which were absolutely delicious and a great bonus. The portion was very filling and satisfying without being too heavy. As always, the service was great, and the food came out quickly -- perfect for a work lunch. I can't wait to come back (and I definitely will). This place continues to be a favorite.

The ambiance was very dark and it was very empty. We ordered some starters, the fried calamari tasted undercooked, doughy, and very underwhelming. The papaya salad was decent, but the main entree noodle dishes were not great either. We ordered a special panang curry fried egg dish, but it ended up just being regular panang curry over rice with a fried egg very underwhelming. We ordered a green curry and the chicken was overcooked and tough. We ordered a chicken salad entree and the waiter said they overcooked the chicken and had to remake it? It came at the end of our meal as we were finishing up. Not sure how that happens, my guess is they forgot the order entirely until we asked where our salad was. It was not just me, but my whole family who all felt the same sentiment on a special night out for celebration. Save your time and money. I will not be coming back here.
