Wingstop is a chain restaurant that specializes in chicken wings. This location can be found inside the Airport Shopping Center off of Airport Road in Allentown. I've been to Wingstop a handful of times in the past and my experience was always satisfactory. This location was quite disappointing. The food was awful. I ordered a chicken sandwich, fries, wings, and boneless wings. The chicken sandwich was sloppily made, the fries were undercooked, and the wings were small, overcooked, and cold. How can wings come out of the fryer and be served cold? It's impossible! We were obviously given old food. I'm not sure whether it was the employees being lazy or management trying to cut down on waste. Either way, completely unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location. Where do I start...Let's start from the beginning. The young lady at the register needs a new placement. She clearly hates her job and needs to reevaluate all of her life decisions. Poor attitude from the beginning is a big red flag. Now let's fast forward to when we received our food. Took approximately 20-30 for 12 wings. Now let's get into the wings. COLD A MOTHER TRUCKER! Let me start by saying the wings and fries were delicious... WHEN I FINALLY GOT THEM! It was Monday afternoon, July 21st and I stopped in for a 10 wing meal. Having never been to a Wingstop, I needed help placing my order and was helped by a young man that was obviously new, helpful and trying to figure out what to do. There was one other gentleman waiting for his order so I scooted to the restroom. Made a comment about the T.P. running out and the young man made sure both restrooms were well stocked. Then began "the wait." I counted 6 employees. The manager was doing food prep in the back and not paying attention to what was going on towards the customer service portion of his business. The 2 newbies were manning the registers out front. That left two young men and a young woman to prepare/cook the meal. Clearly each of them had a specific task. Even more clearly, their priority was chatting up a storm, attending to their cell phones while occasionally looking our way and completely ignoring us. Now I get that there may have been a few Door Dash orders. But frying an order of wings and fries for 2 waiting customers with a staff of 6 shouldn't take over 30 MINUTES with all the equipment they have. Having worked in fast food and owning a retail business, THIS OPERATION could easily have been run by 3 or 4 reasonably trained and supervised workers. The food was delicious. My sister brought me here for the first time a couple days ago and it was wonderful, we ordered online but it was a wait because they were busy which was understandable. The employees were very nice a couple of them asked our name and told us how long until our food was ready. I think inside of the establishment was nice and it was very well clean. I would never step foot in another Wing Stop. It was my first time and last. The fact that you have 7-8 employees treating the business like it was a night club was both disappointing and in poor taste. Instead of cooking and have food ready to go. They instead had loud music so loud that the gentleman taking orders could not hear the customer ordering food. Also everyone that walked in was told there was a 25-40 minute wait. What? You have 7-8 employees some on their phones and dancing to music while folks like me waiting over 40 minutes for my food because they forgot some of the food I ordered. I was told it would be another 5 minutes 20 minutes later is when I received my food. This is supposed to be a fast food place. Customers left and rightfully so. I should have done the same. Instead of offering a $5.00 gift card (no thank you) you are better served by cleaning up the mess that's in your food chain because there was not a happy customer while I was there. I went to this establishment at 11pm (they close at midnight) hoping to just get an order of fries. I walked up to the counter and was refused service by a rude employee. Other people were placing mobile order and that was not a problem but she refused to let me order at the counter an hour before closing. I would be understanding if it was 30 min or less.....but an hour? After I was refused service the employees were all giving me and my friends dirty looks and they were on their phones. We later went to WAWA so we could get some food and someone at WAWA informed us the same thing happened to them before and they won't be going back either...horrible service. Ordered boneless wings, fries, and a drink. Fries were lukewarm at best I ate less then half of them. I saw them sitting over there and they didn't even have a heat lamp on them as they prepped the wings which took a little bit. Its the wait times that's actually horrible , it feels like everytime I come here its a 45-1 hour wait which honestly defeats the fast in "fast food" the food however is worth the wait so if your ordering for pickup then it wouldnt be an issue for you , the food is fresh to me the French fries was seasoned well and crunchy and the wings had a lot of seasoning on it which for wingstop is kinda the norm but this wingstop really excels in the seasoning aspect .
