Their takeout is a hot mess! I called in my order and was told that it would a 20 minute wait time. I come to pickup after 30 minutes, only to be told that they are busy and it will be another 10 minutes. So, I wait 15 minutes and then decide to go in and ask. The guy had me pay right away and then disappeared in the back. After a WHILE some lady comes over, at this point there is about 4 people waiting with me and I know more cars outside waiting, she is asking our order name and then she disappears. More waiting. By the time my order FINALLY comes out I had waited for about an HOUR and 20 minutes for my stupid food!!! If you're that busy, then tell me it will be that long of a wait! This Winger's location is handy for me, located right off Bangerter and 134th. The fact that they have curbside service is a huge plus. You simply call in your order, you tell them what your car looks like, and they'll tell you what time to be there. They come out to your car to get your payment, and bring your food out with your receipt. It's a great little system that more casual dining establishments offering take-out should look into. If you're eating inside, they provide a decent atmosphere akin to Chili's or Friday's, on a smaller scale. The service is comparable as well. They give you complimentary popcorn when you're seated; the chips & salsa of small town casual American fare. It's not great popcorn. But hey, it's free (sorta). No bar at the Utah locations, but they do offer beer to appease the legal age crowd, including their own brew! Haven't tried it yet, but have been meaning to. For me, the allure of Winger's is the classic wings/legs (the little leg portions serve a primary role here, and they've been snubbed long enough!). If you've never tried them, they are meaty and substantial, fried (assumed) to perfection, and coated in a magically unique wing sauce which is equally sweet and savory, with a bit of a spicy kick, rendering them completely scarf-worthy. Winger's refers to this sauce as *Amazing.* And, frankly I would concur. You can just feel the high fructose corn syrup do its power-surge through your veins as you tear through leg after wing like a rabid werewolf. Wings are served with commonplace bleu cheese dressing (although at times I think they sub ranch?) and celery sticks. They offer wings in orders of 5, 8, 12, or 16, catering to everyone's needs. They also have wing buckets available in quantities of 20, 30 and 50 for parties, aka casino nights! As stated, our favorites are the classic wings, but they also put out a few other sauces in which the wings can be bathed. BBQ, buffalo (in varying heat choices), teriyaki, and something called Rebel which is a hot version of their Amazing sauce, and one that I will be trying soon. Their other food is pretty good; salads, sandwiches, burgers and plated entrees which are primarily fish and chicken centric. Several menu items feature their Amazing wing sauce. Warning: they change up their menu regularly, often abandoning an established favorite. I still miss the Mango Chicken Salad. A comeback would be most welcome. The Asian Chicken is my new go-to. Their featured dessert, Asphalt Pie, is touted as being from Planet Awesome; but I have yet to fully appreciate its appeal. It's aight, I guess. It reminds me of a free birthday dessert you'd get in some restaurants. It looks and sounds much better than it turns out to be. When thinking in terms of prioritizing caloric intake, Asphalt Pie is very low down on my dessert list. Winger's is a pretty cool option for a casual lunch or dinner. But be prepared to foster a new addiction to their wings. They're sinfully good. read more

My husband and I went to this location the other day and the service was the worst. Our server had two maybe three other tables one that was seated before and another after and it was like we didn't exist. We had to flag down the hostess to get refills on our water and my husbands order was wrong. We never saw our waitress again to complain until it was time to pay the bill. What a joke. The food was average and nothing I'd come back for especially considering the poor service. They're building a Buffalo Wild Wings off 11400 and Bangerter which is closer to us and has better food. I got a large order of wings, with the Rebel and Bourbon BBQ sauces. The Rebel was good, but not extremely hot as advertised. Look, I come to Winger's when I'm seriously craving their Sticky Fingers, and I think mostly I just want the sauce without the hassle of buying a bottle, cooking up my own chicken tenders, etc. etc. Their food is perfectly fine - to be honest, I haven't had much else (the Sticky Fingers bowl is pretty tasty, although it comes with about four or five cups of rice, so that's kind of ridiculous). Went to Riverton location for the first time and it was the worst meal I've had at any Winger's establishment. The three meals all had issues: the sticky bowl no sauce, the gluten free sunrise burger came on a bun which can really hurt someone with celiacs disease; the sticky fingers came to us as wings. They were nice and replaced all the food except sticky bowl which they gave us a container of sauce for. The problem was it was a to go order which created another trip to pick up. The quality of the sticky bowl was like a very cheap frozen meal with a couple of tenders thrown in. The second hamburger gives you the option of pink or no pink. We chose no pink but it came out pink. The first burger was cooked right but tasted burnt when a bite was originally taken from it when my son thought it was a gluten free bun they had used. The sticky fingers turned out all right second try. The restaurant has poor quality control and blamed the online ordering for not indicating gluten free was needed. It cost me $69 for 3 meals and an appetizer so don't go there its not worth it. Server also burped in front of me while waiting for second order. Bad food and crass food handlers. Only reason I gave it one star is because yelp doesn't let you give zero which is what they deserve! read more

Close to home and a better menu than the other restaurants located around them. I had the chicken wrap and asked for it grilled. Very good. I could only eat half because it's really too much food. My daughter had the same item and also enjoyed it. I don't like fries so I asked for onion rings but they were sold out so I asked for the veggies. They were acceptable but not great. My daughter loves garlic so she ordered the garlic fries and loved them. It was way too much food for her as well. My husband had chicken tacos which he said he liked and would order them again. The manager was at the register so I thought hey I got a guy that knows what he is doing. We go here a lot. A lot. A couple of times a month. My husband loves the fajita's and I don't mind the sticky fingers. However, the quality of service at this restaurant has really declined in the last year. The last four times we have come, it has been so bad that we have discussed it. The last time we came, they forgot our drinks. We love the flavor that can be added to the soda, but by the time the drinks came, they had forgotten to add the flavor. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and we had to wait for the food for longer time than would be necessary. The waitress explained that it was because they were so busy, even though there weren't busy at all. We will keep going because of the location, but have low expectations. read more

She was older, so was she thinking we were naive because we were young? I was offended. On top of that, she didn't ask us if we wanted our wings bone-in or bone-out and didn't ask my friend what sauce she wanted on the wings. It took her 15 minutes to even come say hi to us. She never refilled our popcorn. Once we got our food it took her 3 times to bring us the right sauce we have asked for. Then when it was time for us to leave she brought us out the wrong check. When we finally got our right check. We paid with cash and she didn't give us the right amount of change back.
