We had a coupon for Wing Zone and we thought we would give them a try for the first time. Ordering was very easy and the man was very nice. Delivery seemed pretty quick. The wings were kind of soggy and not very crispy. I guess if you like the soggy wing texture, you will like them. If you like crispy wings, you will not. The price was very reasonable considering we ordered the 25 wings, jumbo wedges, 2 sauces, and 10 apple bites. The wedges weren't very crispy either and they were kind of cold. The apple bites were not the best, but they were okay. The sauce for them was good though. Overall, they were okay. I do not know if I will be eating here again, but maybe! Oh, I had the Honey Q (not very honeyish) and my boyfriend had the Buffalo Bliss and he said they were not hot at all. read more

Worst wings I've ever had. My 10-pack contained only 8 wings, and many of those were essentially meatless or inedible. A complaint was lodged on their website, and no response was forthcoming. Wings are ok at best. The heat chart is inaccurate, or the cook messed up our stickers. Either way my husbands "hot shot" weren't even hot at all and my "buffalo bliss" were hot as hell. This is the first wing place that I have been to in Richmond that I actually liked. My husband and I got the buddy pack and both enjoyed our wings. Ordered delivery from Wing Zone for the first time last weekend. Food was warm and fresh, flavor of sauces and sauce options were great, and the delivery did not take long at all. However, the prices are absurd. For 2 people to order one app, 2 entrees and no drinks or anything else and it to cost $50 for those 3 items is ridiculous and disrespectful to consumers. Spend the 5 mins it takes to call and drive over to BWWs and get your food there; as I promise you will not spend nearly half that for the same amount of food. read more

I ordered from Wing Zone, through Grub Hub, a week or so ago. After my meal was delivered I found the order had been filled incorrectly. i called the store and they offered to refill/refill-redeliver the order. I asked what I should do with what they delivered and they said just keep it. I asked for the credit and just ate the side order if celery and carrots. Wow, I was impressed with the great customer service! Wait, not so fast...I called tonight to use the credit. The person answering the phone found the credit in their system, but said they can't alway honor a credit if the owner isn't in the store then she put me on hold to ask a manager. When she came back she said they would honor the credit, but I had to order at least $10 more for delivery! What?? i already paid for delivery.I asked to speak to the manager. After several more minutes in hold, the manager (Maurice) came in the line and rudely told me I was asking for something for free. When I tried to explain I was only trying yo replicate an order that had been filled incorrectly, Maurice interrupted and talked over me and again said I was just trying to get a meal for free. Are you kidding -- I already paid for the order, delivery and a 20% tip to the driver!! Maurice loudly, rudely told me I would have to talk to the owner...when they are in the store. Guess I'll wait to eat dinner (that I already paid for) until the owner is in 11-6 tomorrow! Forget what I said about good customer service!! read more

This place has no sense of customer service. They have employed some of the rudest people I've ever encountered, specifically Jackson. My mother call to see if they delivered to our address and the worker who answered the call stated they did and even read my mom our last delivery that we had a few weeks ago. Then Jackson calls my mom back with a full fledged attitude to tell her "we aren't going to deliver your order, were refunding you the money now" he doesn't even offer for us to come and get it. My mom responds and says "we'll come and pick it up but you guys have delivered to us before has something changed?" And he responds "you're near Mechanicsville borderline highland park we are not coming there" as if to say we live in a bad neighborhood, which we don't. We are not even "borderline" highland park. My mom attempts to explain to him that the person before him confirmed our order and the delivery tome, even read our last order that we had delivered to see if we wanted that again. Jackson never allowed my mom to speak to explain this, and continued yelling over her. My mom ended the phone call stating we would just come get it and Jackson starts yelling over her again. So my mom says bye and hangs up. Jackson calls backs and rudely asks my mom if we are coming to get the food after she JUST said she was. He basically called back to argue with her. He frustrated my mom so much she just tells him to cancel the order and asks for his manager he replies and says "I am the manager" my mom ends the call stating she is a loyal customer of Wing Zone and she will never order from them again, and she won't allow her business which purchases hundreds of dollars of catering orders from Wing Zone all the time, to do so either. I'll never order from them again and I'll recommend that everyone I know doesn't order from here either. Jackson also refused to give us their corporate number, which we found on google anyway. Our new favorite wings! IMO way better then B-Dubs as far as chain wings go. The flavors are delicious. We're making our way through all the flavors, we always get the Buffalo Bliss and the Garlic Parm and then the 3rd flavor we try a new one each time. The garlic parm is A-mazing! It has tons of garlic flavor and there is also a hint of spicy heat to it. The rajin cajun was good, it had a little too much oregano for me and tasted more Italian than bayou. Thai chili was tasty, and the liquid gold is a favorite too. I haven't tried the other sauces yet. The sauces are not bottled they actually hand make them which is a bonus however it may mean the sauces may vary a bit depending on who makes them. The wings are not the huge meaty ones that make you feel like a caveman, they are the perfect size for cooking up to a crispy perfection - we always order extra crispy. I live too far for delivery so I order and then pick them up and each time I've ordered and gone in the service has been great, never an issue. I pay and I have to wait a "couple minutes" they say. Meanwhile, another 15 minutes later, I get my food. It is disappointing. I eat here very often, and I have enjoyed everything I have ordered so far. I know that they are the only Wing Zone location here in Richmond, so I can imagine that they are busy. The staff have been great, very friendly, and very polite specially over the phone when taking orders. First time at Wing Zone, i must say that the wings were very fresh and the sauce was really good.

Just tried them out and their wings are delicious! I've gotten hot shot twice and my husband has tried the smokey q, Thai chili and garlic parm. They were too spicy for him but the spice was perfect for me on my hot shots! Yummmm. We've gotten sides of wedge fries and they always end up soggy but still good. Happy to find my new wing place! We did receive an order of 9 wings when it was supposed to be 10, no biggie but just putting it out there. Will return though! read more

The wings here are fantastic, don't listen to the 1 star reviews. Way better than BW3's and less saucy. I enjoy their lemon pepper and spicy garlic. For some odd reason, me and some of my friends decided to get the 2nd to hottest one day,needless to say we won't be making that mistake again. Those wings were crazy hot but still had great flavor. Also, this is a Filipino restaurant as well, and all of their dishes are fantastic. Nothing goes better w/ wings than a plate of palabok or bowl of siniagang! This was indeed a horible experience. I wish I could give it zero stars. Last week my co workers all decided to order some wings from Wing Zone, so I decided I would try it since I never ate food from there before. I ordered 7 wings, but when I received my wings, I only had 5. (which might I add were super greasy and soggy) So I called Wing Zone and was advised that all I had to do was give them my telephone number so the next time I get wings, I would receive 5 for free. So, today I decide to go ahead and a get the wings, although I don't particularly like the wings, but hey they would be free so I went through with it. I called Wing Zone and an employee answers the phone. She was nice, I told her what happened and she asked if I would stay on hold. I tell her it's fine, so someone else gets on the line and I thought it was the same girl, so she rudely interrupts me and asks me what do I want. So I explain again that I received the wrong amount of wings and that I was told I would be able to get 5 free wings. I made the mistake of telling the lady I had 4 wings and supposed to have 6. She informs me in a smart alecky tone that that is not possible bc they don't sell 6 wings. So I apologize and tell her I meant I received 5 wings and I ordered 7. Then she had the audacity to ask me "Do you have your story straight now?" in a very rude and vindictive way as if I were lying. I ask her can I speak to her manager, when she nastily expresses that she is the manager! So I ask her to please watch her tone, then she angrily repats "Do you have your story straight?!" So I get angry and hang up the phone. I leave work immediately and head over to Wing Zone. When I get there, I ask for the female manager. A man claims that he is also a manager. So I tell him what happened, and he acknowledges my issue, but never apologizes for the way I was treated. I asked him do they record phone calls so he can hear it, and he says no. After that, he was just standing there as if to say what do you want me to do about it. So I ask him to debit my account. He says he can't do that. So He just offered to give me free food from his establishment which I declined, b/c the wings are already soupy, I didn't want spit on top of that. So he gave me a free 5 wing card so I can choose which location to go to. Crazy thing, while I was speaking about the horrible customer service, a young lady who was buying food spoke up and told the manager she had the same issues not too long ago. SN: I was thinking, well why are you still ordering from here? The manager had a blank expression on his face when she made that comment.. So I asked him were there any managers higher than him, and he said he was the highest and the owner, which I believe is a lie. I'm definitely calling corporate after I finish this review. By the way....the female manager who was rude on the phone would not come from the back of the restaurant. She would not even show her face! Oh, and I did find out what the female manager's name is. Her name is DORIS! I just read a review that Acie B put about this place, and I'm sure they spoke to DORIS too.
