It is what you would expect. All fried food, all the time. Went there under the expectations of good bar wings, and left with fast food at bar prices. The place was clean, the people patient. We asked about thirty questions about their sauces, trying to pick the perfect blend of sweat and spicy for our dinner picnic at home. It wasn't a horrible experience, but with all of Richmonds great bars, there is no reason to return. As a side not, I will not be fooled by Chicken Nuggets under the alias of boneless wings. I think the market director that spun white meat chicken nuggets into boneless wings to sell adults on children's food to be a genius, but I am slightly insulted when servers tell me there is no difference. Their wings are nice and juicy and their variety of sauces are nice. the fries are pretty dry though, also i got the cool ranch seasoning on it and it was super salty. I've gotten the thai wrap and was super sweet for my taste. All in all i would stick with the wings if i were to order again. I ordered boneless wings, with the Honey Q Sauce (Not Spicy). I must have received the Blazin' Q sauce because my mouth was on fire. That has 3 pepper icons next to it. Wing zone has the most overpriced wings in Richmond, more than 1$ per wing for boneless glorified chicken nuggets? Literally the smallest "wings" I have ever eaten. I have ordered from them dozens of time and the wings are different every time, most of the workers could absolutely care less about your order and every once in a while they'll pretend they stop taking orders an hour before they close just because they don't want to work. Really love this store, and have ordered from here since 2015. The wings (I've only had boneless) are okay enough, the sauces are pretty flavorful to me. I LOVE the mac-n-cheese bites and usually get those unless I'm just really feeling the fries, which like most places I like to dip in Honey Mustard. I LOVE the fact that they finally upgraded their dessert game, some might see the 3 new ones and basic, but to me they're SO MUCH BETTER than the cheesecake/brownie bites they had for years! I was in the mood for wings and figured that Wingzone would be the place to go, because I love trying out new places and thought that it couldn't hurt. It was a little bit of a drive from my place, but I was hoping it was worth it. When walking in I noticed it was very clean, and the ladies working were very friendly. The take out menus were available and that was what I ordered from, because the main menu didn't seem to organized. The flavors could be lined up a little better according to heat, kind of like BWW. I ordered the fried pickles, 10 boneless wings and a drink. The flavor was a honey BBQ type of flavor. I was told about 15 minutes and pretty much 15 minutes later my name was called and my order was ready, so that was a positive. I took my wings to go and was on my way. I attempted to eat the pickles, which came with a small store bought container of ranch, on the way home. They had an odd sweet taste to them so I wasn't able to finish them. I ate the wings at home, well most of them, they were just smothered and buried in sauce and it was a little too much. Overall the experience was nice, and the staff was friendly. However in the past I've had bad experiences with their customer service, several rude employees getting upset over me using coupons. Had these at a catered work happy hour and was pleasantly surprised! Delicious boneless wings. Boneless is the only thing I've had from and here (and the fries) but they were delicious. I particularly like the Thai Chili and the Lemon Zinger. Buffalo had a great amount of heat to it, with all the deliciousness of a buffalo sauce. Whoo hoo!! it was a bonus since I wasn't expecting that. The girl behind the counter wasn't familiar with how to do a yelp discount, but was happy to honor it and asked another girl who said she was surprised to hear they had one but sure she would honor it. The cashier was an older woman who had an arrogant attitude who slammed the register shut after hesitantly taking my order. Their parmesan garlic is by far the worst parmesan garlic sauce I've ever experienced. They overcook their wings. I hear the lady take an order over the phone and she tells the person on the line that they have a special, 20 wings for $10.99. Far from the best I have had but I am giving them 4 stars because they were very respectable, plus they were open till midnight on new years day when everyone else was closed and they deliver for a $2 fee. Also I got the deal where you buy 20 and get 7 free for $14.79 dollars . Hard to beat for that price. The Thai Chili sauce is very very good . It's not very hot , just a very slight kick.
