The food here is good but ALWAYS check your order before you leave. The last 5 times we have ordered our order has been missing items or items were not correct. I even ask before I leave the store and they confirm, but I get the order home and nope the order isn't correct. This last time all the sandwiches were missing the coleslaw as well as all the slaw sides. When I let the store know I get apologies and a "you can come back", but never an offer to refund my order. I don't want to drive all the way back to pick up items that should have been in the bag in the first place. Every time we say we are never going back, but our son loves the wings. We were so excited to try wingstand because it is so close to our house. I have never left a negative review but our experience was just so disappointing. We waited an hour for our food to be ready. I asked after 30 minutes how long it would be and was told she was currently working on my order. That clearly wasn't the case. I ordered the honey q mac. The pictures show several toppings. That was not the case for the mac I received. That along with the size and taste was disappointing. We also ordered the fried pickles and instead were given fried Oreos. Don't bother they don't understand the basics of time. Sitting here with 5 employees chilling with 15 tickets and around 8 customers mean mugging. The lack of self awareness is comical. My new favorite place for wings during game day! Love the bold flavor these wings bring especially when it comes to delivery. The delivery was timely and the chicken w/ sauces were each labeled individually which make it easier for serving to guests. I loved that the fries were not soggy by the time that they were delivered and still had a crispy taste to them. Where to start! Dont get this place confused with wing stop! These perfectly cooked and seasoned wings are like heaven in the form of chicken! The gachu dang sauce is like garlic-y deliciousness with the perfectly satisfying heat, that goes with ranch like salt goes with pepper. They even made me my own Hot BBQ wings that weren't on the menu and oh my gosh was it a match made in heaven or should I say KC!!!! The French fries are something from another planet, well seasoned and crispy. And if the food quality isn't enough the staff here is awesome! Not only are they fun, but they are kind! They will let you sample sauces! And genuinely care if you like the food! When I left I not only wanted to be friends with them but felt like family! This place hits the spot! We ordered pick up - chicken tenders tossed and not tossed, fries, lemonade, and cherry limade. The tenders were thick and juicy, and the breading was crunchy. I have gone to wing stand maybe 3 times in hopes for better quality of service but EVERY SINGLE TIME I've gone it's always a disappointment. Either my order is wrong or cold or the time I have to wait for my food to be completed is about 20-30 minutes. Today I went back in hopes that it would be a different experience but after waiting 25 minutes for my food, I was giving the wrong order and no ranch for wings. On two different occasions, I ordered wings and sides. Both times, they lost my order and I had to show a receipt proving I ordered 45min later. It seems like every time they get busy, they cannot keep up or stay organized. Not impressed at all. To top it off, customer service was shit too. Tried this now that they are open and I'm a big fan of Jefferson's in Lawrence and NKC. The wings were great as were the food options. My husband and I love wings from time to time and this will be our new spot. They had a lot of outdoor seating which will be great in warmer times. I tried a boneless combo and the sauces were great. Instead of fries I did fried pickles as a side and then were some of the best I've had. Definitely recommend trying this spot when in Mission or after a drink or two at Sully's next door. read more

We tried a little of everything - tenders with the lemon pepper dry rub, honey bbq wings, the double friend sandwich, fries, Mac and cheese and drinks - it was all PHENOMENAL! The chicken:breading:sauce ratio is perfection. The sauces were top notch, but don't sleep on the dry rubs. Everything was cooked to order and you taste the freshness. Best chicken tenders I've had in KC for a while. My family has been on a Caines trip lately and I just don't get their tenders. These tenders at WingStand were perfectly cooked, very tender and had a perfect amount of crisp to the batter. The fries were really good with just the right amount of spice and salt. The only downside (not their problem but mine) was that I just came from Hattie B's in Nashville and I have been craving more Nashville Hot chicken...so I wish WingStand had a Nashville Hot version. They have multiple sauces and I tried a few and they were all really good. Add a Nashville Hot and we will get along great! read more

Glad to see another great addition to Johnson Dr. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the guy behind the counter. I ordered the regular tenders with slaw. The sauce was great and slaw was tasty. Had the traditional hot wings, flavor was great: spicy but not overpowering, wings were crispy but not over cooked. Fries were hot, crispy and perfect. Blue cheese was chunky and creamy. Staff was super nice and the service was fast. The wings themselves seemed smaller and less meaty than I would like, but I've noticed that at other wing places recently. First timer - not impressed. Ordered 12 boneless wings, requested two flavors, couldn't tell the difference at all. One was medium buffalo and one garlic parmesan, so there should have need a definite difference in taste. Also ordered fried pickles, which were fairly greasy and missing the dipping sauce. I was working in mission around lunch time when I saw this small place while getting gas. At first I just wanted to check out the menu and prices and was impressed with how inexpensive they were. Only $6.50 for 6 boneless wings and dipping sauce. Sign me up. I placed an order online and less than 10 minutes later it was ready. It was hot and was quality chicken. The blue cheese was good. I got the Asian zing sauce which is the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. It had a misleading name and was not a bit spicy and reminded me of sweet and sour sauce. Walking in, it seemed inviting. This mood changed when I was greeted by unprofessional staff. When placing my order, the cashier was speaking unclear (I could tell customers in front of me were having a hard time understanding as well) Over priced for the quality of food provided. The food seemed like it had been sitting out a few hours and was then heated up quickly and toosed into some sauce. I ordered the boneless wings which were thick breaded what seemed to come out of the freezer case from a grocery store. They were cold. I was even there 5 min early watched them box them up drove about 1 min home and yep. Cold. Granted this new to Mission but they are going to have to up their game or head back to Lawrence. Workers all standing around giving rude looks. Not inviting to come in at all. Place is small and really loud with machines running and music. Half of the people making the food didn't have a mask on and the ones that did had chin diapers. Food took forever just for a small order of 6 wings. I really enjoy the Jefferson wings and brand but the service here at this location is just ridiculously slow. The excuse is they cook their food fresh but it's a fast food place and it should never take 25 minutes to get served. read more
