Our 1st words when getting our order was - hot, fresh, right kind of fries (my husband's words and I agree). The quantity and flavor of the sandwich, wings & fries were spot on for us. We opted for the lemon pepper on our wings which we enjoyed but the pepper was a bit overloaded on the wings. We were stuffed and couldn't finish the fries. The establishment has the current minimalist trend - kiosks for ordering, backless metal stools for the tall table. Well lit. You aren't coming for the decor as you are coming for the tasty & plentiful meal. If you are a chicken sandwich and/or wings person this a good place to go or bring home party trays. There are other items on the menu to consider as well. read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting. The Service - A kind employee guided me through the use of the kiosk, as the order was specialized. Pretty straightforward ordering and collecting your number. The location - This place had very little personality and just didn't have a lot to it. Granted, if you are just having a quick sit and wolfing down some chicken, this is adequate. I will say it was very clean and had obviously been cared for. The food - This was good, juicy fried chicken. No complaints on the flavour. Their specialty dipping sauce is also really good. The downsides... They don't have a thing. Nothing that would make me go get chicken here over any of the other chicken places in town. The kiosk ordering, while great, had items that were out of stock listed that were next to the system in the cooler, and vice versa. I was hoping for more from a place that isn't advertised much and is sort of tucked back in a strip mall. And though good. They need something more. Great prices or great dips, or something to set them apart. read more

This was my first time trying Mr. Wingz, and overall, I really enjoyed it! The location was super convenient for me--only about five minutes from my work. The restaurant was also very clean and had a nice, well-kept atmosphere. It's a pretty straightforward setup: you walk in, order at the counter, and then they bring your food out when it's ready. My food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything I tried was really good, and I would definitely go back for the food! The only thing that kept me from giving five stars was the customer service. There isn't a ton of interaction with the staff since you order at the counter, but the interactions I did have felt a little less welcoming than I would have liked. The staff seemed somewhat annoyed, which took away a little from the overall experience. Also, the ranch was just okay. It tasted pretty standard--almost like a store-bought ranch served in small containers. Definitely not the highlight of the meal. Overall, though, the food was hot, fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. I'd definitely give Mr. Wingz another try and hopefully have an even better experience with the service next time! read more

Came here recently for a Yelp event and loved it so much, I came back and tried something new! This time I tried the Nashville Hot Sandwich and it was so good! Like my last visit, everyone was super friendly! Love that it is a family-owned business! 10/10 would recommend! read more

The wings are exactly how they advertise them to be; very juicy and flavorful!! The only reason for my 4 stars is I prefer mine to be extra cooked and crispy! So the next time I go, I will definitely request them that way! I had the lemon pepper option along with their delicious fries that have this Cajun seasoning which I love, so huge plus. Overall, great place for wings that come out fresh to order! read more

Food is made fresh to order. I had the chicken sandwich, fries, and drink. Fantastic! I love the taste of the chicken tenders which I learned they marinate for 24 hours. Fries are seasoned and crispy. I ordered some extra to take home to the kids which was equally delightful. Shakes are an option here and all drinks are bottled no fountain drinks. This is a plus in my book! Service staff are knowledgeable and the store is immaculate! Very simple yellow and black decorations. Located in a shopping strip I hadn't noticed before. Don't miss this opportunity to try Mr Wingz read more

Delicious and great service with many options! Would like to try more of the menu items in the future

My daughter was "hangry" and really craving chicken wings or a chicken sandwich. She's a super big foodie and very high food expectations. We were traveling and in the area so we stopped in for lunch. What a pleasant surprise! All of the staff we interacted with were top notch. They explained the menu, made great suggestion and were very patient with us trying to decide what to pic. We ended up picking a little of everything and it was all delicious. If you are looking for a great spot for chicken this is it. Incredibly fresh and delicious. A very clean place and plenty of parking. Support this business! read more

So good! First time trying Mr. wings and when I first walked in, it was clean well kept I was the first one to try their new system for their POS. I was welcomed by the owner and he also helped me order. Gave me help on what food I wanted for the Yelp of that and went over a little bit of what it was included what was made in it overall great experience very friendly and clean environment. Colors were great. Customer service with great food came out quick. I got their fries which is seasoned fries with a honey mustard sauce there classic sauce and it came with grilled chicken tenders on top. The chicken was absolutely perfectly cooked well seasons of fries were seasoned and crispy the sauce if you're a big honey mustard person you would love their sauce. Honestly, I ate the whole thing because it was so delicious. I would definitely recommend and would be interested in trying their other Foods. read more

I just tried this really neat wings spot for the first time and did it leave a great impression! The woman who handed us our order was incredibly sweet and won me over already with her customer service! I ordered jerk boneless wings, hot honey and korean bbq bone in wings, a side of Mac and cheese and some corn! The jerk chicken hit the spot! You could taste a million spices and more, in a good way, and had the perfect balance of heat and sweet! My other fave was the hot honey! As a fan of hot honey to begin with, it just was a set up for perfection. Corn was grilled just enough to have that sweet, charred flavor and the Mac and cheese hit the spot! The korean bbq wasn't bad, but I'd opt to try another flavor instead. Overall satisfied! read more

Mr. Wingz is the bomb! They have an easy online ordering process and good notification system. The wings are big, saucy, and delicious. Our personal favorite has been the Parmesan garlic. The sides are also great. Mac n cheese is killer, fried corn is good, and we love the fries. Support an awesome local business! Mr. Wingz Was AMAZINGGG. Definitely Not Your Typical Wing Spot And Dare I Say, The Best Wings In KC?! Upon Walking In The Spot Was Clean, Organized And We Were Greeted When We Walked In And Ordered Our Food At The Kiosk. I Personally Like This Because Then You Can See All The Options And Flavors. I Ordered a 5pc Combo And My Husband Ordered A 8pc Combo. I Had The Naked Wings And They Were So Fresh, Juicy, Great Size And Bite. These Naked Wings Were SO Flavorful! I Truly Enjoyed Them! My Husband Got The Buffalo And The Garlic Parmesan They Both Were Delicious. However The Garlic Parm Set Them Apart, Truly The Best I Ever Had! The Fries Were Well Seasoned And Crispy Too. Just Overall A Great Meal And I Truly Don't Feel Overly Stuffed Or Heavy After. I Will Be A Regular At Mr. Wingz! They Will Definitely See Me Again! read more

First time we came, left a good impression. This time however, not so much. If I have to add ranch to my meal, I at least expect a full serving of ranch..not half...& just because you shake it to seem like it's full is wild I'm all for supporting small businesses, but when I'm paying 30+ for 2 meals (to which I have to add ranch & pay for it), kind of makes more sense to go to Wingstop.. read more

I have pics that cannot find so I will have to post them when I sort out my reviews lol, butttt this is a delicious chicken spot! It's so nice that it's on the Kansas side, we appreciate the representation! The chicken is so nice and piping hot because everything is made to order and the fries and nicely seasoned. It's a bit pricey so I was unable to try other options on the menu, but I think it's the perfect amount of food with the perfect flavoring! Everyone who helped us was so nice and even the owner came out to update us on our order and chatted with us for a bit. The vibe is more casual so a nice chill spot it was. Loved this spot! read more

I've been meaning to check out Mr. Wingz for a while when he was in the cloud kitchen. I'm glad the brick and mortar was finally opened in a great location in Overland Park. You order through the touch screen and you are greeted when you enter. They explain the sauces and items and get to making your order as it is entered. It was cool to see a promotional discount as I went to checkout. The food is brought to your table and it is all fresh and hot! You can tell it truly is freshly made real chicken. Every bite has meat to it and the sauces don't overwhelm the meat. My suya wings were so good. The chicken sandwich was also great along with the fries which were seasoned perfectly. I really enjoyed the signature sauce as well. Its different than other chicken restaurants. I wish there was a little bit more decor for ambiance but the food is really good. I will definitely be back. read more

Food is good and fresh. Wings are bigger than most places but price is pretty high as well. This is a order at a computer and someone appears out of the kitchen to drop it off kinda place. Gal who brought the food out very nice. Ambiance, well not so much just tables chairs and the counter. If you like wings its worth a shot. Still far from my fav however. Not sure I would bother going back. read more

This is a brand new chicken spot in Overland Park Kansas, I don't think there are really any local chicken Wing places that are local in this area. What I like about it is that it is family owned. I started off with their suja chicken wings, they had nice flavor. It was a dry rub. The chicken wings were nice and tender, the only thing I didn't like was the onions on top. They were raw, they could've caramelized them to make them look better but they were just there. I tried all three flavors of their chicken sandwiches and they were all very tender and juicy. The original had nothing special to it. The buffalo chicken sandwich teeter on the verge of being too salty but that is the case for most Buffalo chicken flavored anything. My favorite was the slaw-ppy chicken sandwich. I am never really a fan of coleslaw but whatever sauce they used had great flavor. I loved their French fries, they were seasoned to perfection. I might be biased but I think that every chicken restaurant has great French fries. The only thing I didn't care for was their macaroni and cheese. It looked like the kraft kind from the blue box. They had one with bacon but I don't think there was anything special to it. Also all the meals were served with corn and I don't like corn, plus it's was very random because to me it doesn't go, but if you are a corn lover you are in for a treat. Will I come back? Probably, but this isn't a place I would seek. Nothing from the menu jumped out and me to pull me back. read more

I'm a wing guy. I love trying wings from different places & wanted to check out the wings from Mr Wingz. Their being on Door Dash made it simple to order & be delivered. Of 12 different choices, l picked Signature Seasoning without any sause to sample their base wing without any added flavor. My 2nd choice was Garlic Parmesan. The wings were very good size, seeming 30+% larger than from most other places. They also were without breading. The Signature Seasoning wings were very tasteful, cooked perfectly & a joy to eat. The Garlic Parmesan wings were the same as the Signature Seasoning wings plus the added flavors. They also had a great taste & were very good. They have other products, but it's clear they know how to do wings well. It was a good change of pace from the regular type of deep fryed battered wings. Enjoyed the wings! Will definitely be back to try some of the other choices. read more

Figured that a place that only sells wings and limits human contact would be great. Placed my order online and paid $33 for 13 wings and fries. When i arrived order was not ready!!!!!! Fries were cold like they sitting around and re-fried. Wings were not crispy and fee were under cooked. Being that business is hard enough to grab customers. I dont recommend. From the moment I arrived I was meant by courtesy and very positive energy. this was my first time to this establishment so the host helped me navigate the menu selection process. Then the food arrived. I ordered the lemon Parmesan chicken one of their their signature items it was fantastic!!! The whole vibe in the restaurant was great. Very smooth Afro beats playing in the background. even after I finish my meal, I was encouraged to know that they were expanding within Kansas. My only hope is that they come into the Missouri communities as soon as possible!! I look forward to my next opportunity to visit and try additional selections on their menu! read more

Clean restaurant, very minimalistic. Self order counter and tables. Staff was friendly and offered assistance as I navigated the menu. I had lemon pepper and garlic parm bone in wings. Wings were cooked well, not a hard fry but not undercooked. Garlic parm was good, you can taste it's the jarred garlic not saying that's bad but you can taste the acid in it that preserves the garlic. Lemon pepper didn't have a ton of seasoning on them which was kinda strange. Overall the wings themselves were good if I went back I'd get some different flavors. Fries were solid too. Ranch was a little strange tho. Good overall, nice staff. read more

I would have given this a 5 star rating except for the lack of employee presence when you enter the business. We entered and there didn't appear to be anyone in the place. Eventually a young fellow who apparently knew nothing about their ordering system came out and told us that ordering was done via kiosk. The kiosk however gives no clue what the cryptic names of the sauces mean so that wasn't much help. The food however was outstanding and apparently made to order. One other annoyance, there were no napkins on the tables (no napkins in a wings joint????) Portions were generous, pricing was reasonable and service was polite. As for ambiance: there is none. One giant logo on the wall and that is it. No pictures, no paintings, no signage, Nothing. Maybe it is because the place has only been around a few months so I am willing to give it another shot as long as the food stays good! read more

Do yourself a favor and try this place. I've had the wings and sandwiches. The fries are unbelievable and everything is made fresh to order. Sauces are fantastic, and the Yo! The wings are standard flats and drums size wise. Not tiny but not big either. They're tasty. The fries are tasty too. The wings and fries weren't crispy. The jerk wings are not spicy but sweet. They're sauced. Not traditional jerk. Well seasoned wings but Wings Cafe and a good Twin Peaks location's wings beat these easily for reference. The ranch is standard as well. What isn't clear from this listing at all is that this is purely a to go food spot with several to go eateries under one roof. I called my order in, spoke to some dude and I wasn't told that it would be far more efficient and timely to order online or through a delivery service. Don't call your order in. If you're craving standard wings and you want some then order online and go get some. You want something that a wings guy would recommend than I'd go elsewhere. The wings and fries weren't special. read more
