Give this place a try!…read more Look, it's a fast food vibe but the wings are excellent! Meaty and flavorful. No disappointment here. I'm from out of town. There are plenty of options in the area. That said, if you're looking for something quick, easy, and terrific then try this place. Service was friendly and on top of their game. Food was amazing. I had the Mango Habanero Wings and Fries. Did not disappoint. This place might do a lot of take out. I don't know. Either way, it's worth trying. I left completely satisfied and felt I got my money's worth.

The individual at the counter was very friendly and gave me recommendations after telling him it was my first time. I love buffalo wings, and he recommended the smash burger. Food wise, it's not bad, but it's not great. I personally prefer my wings to have the crispy skin exterior where theirs is made with what seems to just be the chicken+sauce. Reviewing a spot like this is interesting since for me personally I take into account how much I paid for the meal compared to how good it is. For this burger and 6 wings, the total came out to be $24.68. If this meal somehow could be closer to something like $15-$20, I'd probably give it four stars and return some day. I get it's a difficult in this economy, but I've had better for cheaper.

My son tried the "Just a Splash" dirty soda and it was delicious! Next time we will all be adding those to our meals! The service was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and checked in with us throughout our meal. You can tell the owners really care about the restaurant and their customers, and that comes through in the food and the overall ambience of the restaurant. I haven't felt this cared for as a customer in... years? So long I honestly can't remember service like this, so maybe never! We loved the food, the people, and the vibe of Chick-n-Fizz, we will be back and recommending it to all our friends and neighbors. Bravo, a knockout new joint in downtown AH!

The restaurant is small, with limited seating, but brightly decorated and immersive on the surf decor. I ordered the fish n chips, and they let me know it would be about 12 minutes, because they make everything fresh. No problema, dude. Beach Boys, surf music and other mellow tunes play overhead while you wait. It wasn't long at all, and I was presented with three (3!!!) crisply battered fish filets on a mound of seasoned shoestring fries. It was hot (prepared to order, remember), and delicious. The fries were awesome as well. I thought it was a little pricey, but the portions were large and I had plenty to take away. My fish was delish -- and I'd be glad to come back and try some of the other combos. The people who worked here were chill and friendly. Good vibrations!

Hubby and I wanted some seafood and we passed by Surf's Up a few times so it's long overdue for us to stop and try the food today. The owner, Lisa, was working behind the counter. She is so sweet and certainly very proud of her restaurant! We asked her for recommendations and she was happy to share some of the top preferred items of guests. She gave us time to look over the menu. I settled on the fried catfish dinner with a side of grits, greens & a roll. Hubby wanted fish and chips with a roll. Lisa told us that everything is made fresh to order so it would be about 15-20 mins. We weren't in any hurry, but we appreciated the heads up and the fact that it was all freshly made. The food arrived crispy and hot and oh so delicious! My catfish was so flakey. The grits and greens were the perfect sides to go with it. Hubs really enjoyed his fish and chips. The fries were so good, we couldn't stop eating them. Lisa also sold us on the fresh bread pudding, but we so full so we had to take it go. Just finished it tonight and it was even more delicious than she described! We will certainly be returning to try the shrimp po' boy and other items on her menu! Plus more bread pudding. Don't pass up this cute little place with delicious fresh seafood and desserts plus friendly service.
