We tried Chick-n-Fizz tonight and it's going to be the first of many visits, I already know! We decided to split a couple of things among our group - boneless wings, tenders, a corn dog, and cheese curds. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we loved the fact that we could each top our chicken the way we wanted with their sauce and dry rub bar! Our family has very different preferences, so it was awesome to customize. Plus we got to try and find out we loved some new to us flavors! My son tried the "Just a Splash" dirty soda and it was delicious! Next time we will all be adding those to our meals! The service was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and checked in with us throughout our meal. You can tell the owners really care about the restaurant and their customers, and that comes through in the food and the overall ambience of the restaurant. I haven't felt this cared for as a customer in... years? So long I honestly can't remember service like this, so maybe never! We loved the food, the people, and the vibe of Chick-n-Fizz, we will be back and recommending it to all our friends and neighbors. Bravo, a knockout new joint in downtown AH! read more

This is attached to Break Escape (owned by the same people and share a space). We had a birthday party at break escape (the kids had a blast). There's a window to watch inside the escape room, so we got to peek in every now and then. While waiting for them, there's a whole little cafe here along with a fun and free photobooth with props (it emails you your photo). We got gelato here and mini donuts, but they also have dirty sodas and some food which I'd like to try next time! The staff here is sooo friendly, which makes the experience and stay ten times better. They were very accommodating and patient with us with a party of kids. Highly recommend! read more

This restaurant feels like it's run by long lost family but they act that way to all their customers. The staff here are outgoing friendly and VERY community integrated. You can sit at the counter and have a rag chew about shop without anyone batting an eye. It doesn't feel awkward to talk like a restaurant. This feels more like a bar. But it's not a bar. There's no alcohol the prices and environment are a total retro throwback (YES. EVEN THE PRICES ARE FROM THE LATE 90s!!!) They manage to do this by being a cash preferring business so make sure to bring your cash to get the best prices! The card fee is nominal and economical transparent passage of card fees to the customer. The owners are very knowledgeable on soda history and mixing. If you want a real soda jerk counter. This is the place for it. If you want chicken some classic 90s cartoon a nascar and baseball game all in the same room. You come here. A place to be dazzled by a wide array of content a blazing fire personality from both owners of the business and drinks that will make you want to come back for the experience. read more

Had some dirty sodas only. They were tasty. Very nice girl working the register. Nice setup, good location. Will come back for food.

If you're looking for a shop with EVERYTHING, Chick-n-Fizz is the place. They sell chicken tenders and snacks, dirty sodas, they have an arcade with a photo booth as well as escape rooms. I had been wanting to try this place for a while, so my husband, a friend, and I went in and ordered a chicken tender and French fry basket (comes with a Tootsie Roll candy) and an instant campfire (Mug root beer, toasted marshmallow and chocolate) dirty soda. Don't forget to stop by the sauce station to get a unique blend of flavors to go with your tenders and fries. The food and soda tasted great. The atmosphere is really fun with bright decor and decorated walls. I highly recommend Chick-n-Fizz! read more

I went here for a late lunch before my flight home and they were not very busy at the time. I decided to try the wings, fries and jalapeño poppers and everything was amazing. The building is easy to access and walkable in the downtown area. The staff was really friendly and helped explain I could use their sauce bar or have the wings sauced I decided to try the sauce bar so I could try different flavors and seasoning. I tried the lemon pepper dry rub and the garlic parm sauce both were really flavorful. The real star of the show is the extremely crispy and juicy wings the skin was some of the crispiest and crunchy wings I've ever had in Chicago and with no breading it was amazing. The wings also were nicely flavored by them self without any sauce. If you like crispy wings you have to try this place !! The place is very clean and charming with a friendly staff I'll make sure to stop in next time I'm in the area read more

Chick-n-Fizz - (BONE-IN) Wings (6) - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Arlington Heights, Illinois

We stepped into a bright and colorful space that looked like a candy store or soda fountain for grownups. That's pretty much what it is, except they also have chicken. And escape rooms. It's a fun atmosphere, and everyone we talked to was very friendly and helpful. Our group ordered chicken wings, tenders, cheese curds, fries, and sweet potato tots. Everything was above average, except the fries. They fell short. Prices aren't bad, and it's easy to see why they're swamped with kids once school lets out each day. We'll have to return for a meal and escape room experience one day. read more

Chick-n-Fizz - Bone-in (BONE-IN) Wings (4) - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Arlington Heights, Illinois

What an unexpectedly fun place. The owners are super-friendly and walk you through the craziness that is Chick-n-Fizz. When you walk in you see a counter to a 50s-ish style diner. To the right is the restaurant seating area. To the left are escape rooms. Behind you is a enclosed shelf unit with candy from the past and a cooler with ice cream. They have bone-in and boneless wings with many different sauces and dry rubs. They can add them for you or you can indulge yourself with as much or as little sauces and dry rub to your heart's content. There are a few diner tables with diner chairs for four or more people. There are tables for two that are standard two-person black tables and black chairs. I think they have these so they don't take away from the overall diner vibe and sort of blend into the background. There are also a few large flat screens in the dining area that project shows from the 50s and 60s except when football is on. I went with a buddy to check this place out. We both ordered bone-in wings. They came out crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside. The Sauce Bar has staple sauces and dry rubs and then a revolving door of sauce and rub varieties as well. There are plenty to try for almost every flavor profile you're looking for from mild to hot. The sides were good, too! However, they do skimp on the quantity. I ordered fries and my buddy ordered the curds. A side of curds costs a whopping $5.25 (for comparison, 4 bone-in wings costs $7.50 and 6 bone-in wings costs $11.25). Everything is a tad on the pricey side for the amount you're actually receiving. Six bone-in wings with ranch and carrots at Buffalo Wild Wings is $10.99. At Wingstop, you can only get 6 bone-in wings in a combo meal with fries/or other side, carrots or celery or a mix, ranch dip, and a 20oz drink for $13.29. Regardless, they do skimp on the sides a bit. I think they just need to add more curds and more fries to their sides for what they cost. They are very tasty though. The Fizz part is pretty cool. You can get a regular fountain drink with free refills. However, if you upgrade your soda for one of their specialty sodas, you get the add-ins for the first drink, but can replenish your sodas without the add-ins when requesting a refill. I opted for "Dad's Favorite" which is Mug Root Beer with vanilla and cherry flavoring added. This was very tasty and is a nice compliment to the wings. We didn't try the escape room part, but they clearly had an idea an ran with it housing both entertainment and food in the same place. They have ice cream, candy treats, and yummy drinks and succulent wings. What more could you ask for? It's definitely a place worth checking out again. read more

Went to one of the soft openings and was impressed! There was a line out the door but they were efficient and friendly the whole time. They were still training but I was super impressed with the teenage staff they have. We had a hard time picking which drink to get!! Settled on the butterbeer and citrus bowl. Both were very tasty. We also got some boneless wings and cheese curds. Highly recommend the curds!! Next time I have to remember the ranch! We can't wait to come back and try other drinks!! Everything I saw being made looked amazing! read more

First time customer we were very excited to try something new. There was no customers inside when we came in it looked like a cool store from outside. We were very displeased by the service. Not LGBT friendly or POC friendly. We did not receive the same service others did. The drinks were very sweet as expected. Chicken is Sysco chicken fries as well very dry and bland. Family friendly, good food, good people Excellent quality wings and sauces. The soda was a really nice compliment to the wings.I made my order online for pickup but when I got there I definitely wanted to come back with my family. They had peppa pig on one tv and March madness on another. It was not long of a wait for my order but the person taking care of me gave me regular updates on my food while also being friendly to other guests. It's really refreshing to see genuine quality and customer care as we don't see it enough these days. It's a little mom and pop soda shop that is a hidden gem in downtown Arlington Heights. Wishing them the best of luck read more

The food was amazing. All three of us got different food choices and the came out pretty fast. The service was great and the restaurant was so clean. I loved the old school diner look and we all tried dirty sodas. The pricing was reasonable, especially with how inflation is now. They had a photo booth and a escape room. We will definitely be going back. They did have dessert but we were to full. read more

I highly recommend stopping by for the service alone! Dave ran us through the menu and highlighted some of his favorites. We both got the butter beer dirty soda which was delicious! We found the quality to be high and the cost to be low compared to another spot in Schaumburg. Love the ambiance of the retro dinner, and they even have a Photo Booth and candy bar selection! read more

High priced food Corn bread is expensive for a small piece for one, you think for price if food they'd include two pieces especially when ordering $40 I'm wings for two. The whole soda/pop thing with add in flavors, it's from a soda machine (high fructose corn syrup) no craft or real cane sugar soda like they're charging you for. Asked for water I was given a cup and told around the corner by bathrooms when the soda dispenser has a water dispenser? Get water by the bathrooms? High priced wings & chicken you can get at any bar, pub or restaurant for considerably less. I don't understand why people who open a business wonder why they fail right out of the gate... read more

Great service, friendly staff and delicious wings. Their boneless buffalo wings are the best we've ever tasted!

This new place in downtown Arlington Heights is great. I have gone a few times and enjoyed the curds and the chicken, along with the ability to try all sorts of sauces. Great staff, super friendly. The sodas were a special treat for the grandkids. They are connected to an escape room business which we tried out as well. Failed miserably at that but had a lot of fun! It's a nice alternative to the fast food franchises found all over but feels more like an independent. I met the owners who were so nice and welcoming. read more

Counter service person very nice. Had Pierogi's were bad, not fresh, just reheated, dough was hard, swimming in butter, not crispy. Wings were no big deal, nothing special, had a cream soda & that was good. I will say the place is cute, but needs a bigger variety of food, maybe burgers & hot dogs, and take Pierogi's off the menu. read more

Food and ambiance was very good, with impeccable service. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful

Such a fun place! My family went here and really enjoyed it. They even had fried cauliflower which was a bonus for my vegetarian daughter. They have a sauce bar, so you can try as many different sauces on the wings that you want. In addition to the boneless wings and fried cauliflower, we also got jalapeño poppers (super full of yumminess), mozzarella sticks (really crispy, although one completely leaked out and was just a shell), and cornbread (very fluffy and cake like, which my son enjoyed). Add on the dirty soda options, fun decor, and incredibly nice and attentive owners, this place was a hit. We will definitely go back again! read more

Got hankering for some crispy wings and yummy specialty sodas? Head on down to downtown Arlington Heights. I've been dying for this place to open and it did not disappoint. I attended their soft opening and was very impressed. I got the wings naked, so I could add my own sauce at their sauce bar. The wings were cooked to perfection, exactly the way I like them, crispy outside, tender inside. They had a soft opening special that included fries, coleslaw, and cornbread. The fries were crispy, and the coleslaw creamy. The fun part was their specialty soda selection. I got "Dad's favorite" which was root beer, vanilla, and cherry. Sooo good. They have a case of blue bunny ice cream if you're so inclined. And a large candy selection too. This place is also attached to an escape room if you wanna make a family outing out of it. Very nice people, great food. This is a great addition to downtown Arlington heights. read more

Stopped by on a friend's suggestion for a old time soda. It was well worth the stop. The Southern Charm dirty soda was amazing, plus the service and hospitality was top notch. I'll definitely be back to try the chicken and escape room experience. read more

If you haven't been to Chick n Fizz yet, stop what you're doing and GO. Their wings are perfection -- shatteringly crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. The sauce bar is basically a flavor carnival, with something for everyone, but my heart belongs to the Garlic Parmesan. Absolute magic. Do yourself a favor and order the fried cauliflower and cheese curds. Seriously -- they're little bites of joy. And just when you think the night can't get any better, there's a free photo booth! The props are hilarious, and it makes the whole experience feel like a mini party. But the crown jewel for me? The dirty soda. I am officially TEAM Fizz. The Ginger Punch was a flavor explosion that had me grinning like a kid at the fair. Chick n Fizz isn't just a restaurant -- it's an experience. Dave and Shari, you have opened up a restaurant that does not only serve up delicious food and drinks, but fabulous memories. I can't wait to visit again! read more

Really enjoyed Chick~n~Fizz! There is a great atmosphere, kind and attentive employees, and amazing wings! The idea of trying different sauces in the Sauce Bar was so cool because you're not married to just once flavor for your wings! Crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside! Not to mention the sides....I highly recommend the cheese curds! Delicious. And for you vegetarians....go get those cauliflower bites! Just as hearty and tasty with the different sauces~ Superb! Thank you Dave and Shari for a wonderful experience! I'll be back for more Butter Beer too! read more
