Amazing bubble gum themed candy bouquet that was put together! Blown away!
    Kasia K.

So I went in to pick up some various types of gum for my 8 year old niece for part of her birthday present (it's her latest candy obsession). First of all they have an AMAZING selection. I was blown away! So many nostalgic candies and sweets! Secondly, SweetSpot was able to take my selection of bubble gum candies and turn it into a BEAUTIFUL candy bouquet for a small charge. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I can't wait to see my niece's face when she receives this! 100% recommend! They went above and beyond what I could dream of!

Went to the SweetSpot tent at the Polo Match yesterday! They had every candy imaginable from novelty pieces to current new favorites. They also had ice cream, Italian ice, pretzels, nachos & funnel cakes. I've been to the shop plenty of times as well and they have even more sweet treats there. Definitely stop by and support this great local business!!

My e year old went crazy in here!

This small candy shop was filled floor to ceiling with 3 rooms of outstanding candies to choose from. new and some many classics. We will be back for more soon.

Our party had such a great time! It was very organized. Doreen and Maddie were fantastic! My five-year-old said it was his best birthday party yet. I can't believe how reasonable it was. Ten children, pizza, make your own candy bag, make your own Sundaes, then a craft, fill your candy bag! The children are still talking about it. 100% satisfied!

Fun novelty items. Hubby and I had a good time looking through the candy and remembering our childhood. :) Fun, but pricey.

Their specialty are their candy bars, which is really a misnomer because they are essentially two or more truffles and coated nuts and such all glommed together into a variation of a large turtle. They are far better than any candy bar I have ever eaten. I visit the area two or three times a year from L.A. and always bring my family See's chocolates, which are excellent. The chocolate at Anderson's however makes See's look like Russell Stover--and now I have to bring chocolate from here to California when I visit--it's that good. Their main store is up near the Wisconsin border if you happen to be up that way.

My wife and I had always wanted to visit them ever since then and we finally did after about 10 months. The place was small and charming with lots of neeat chocolate creations, as one would expect. We sampled a couple different chocolate pieces and as far as I can tell, they were good. I say that only because I'm not a huge chocolate person, and I don't have a huge gauge on what's good vs great. Since our main purpose of the visit was for donuts, we went ahead and orderes half dozen "premium" donuts. Turns out, the box that was gifted to us was a custom mix of their premium selections, which are fancier donut creations that require a bit more finesse and efforts for them to create. Apparently, you need to order ahead if you want to have a good mix of a dozen, which we didn't know. So we ended up picking from the available ones. They were still a good variety. I don't actively seek out donuts, but if I craved one, I'd definitely seek out Morkes.

I ordered these boards for 2 events that I was throwing. Rosanna, the owner and maker, was such a pleasure to work with. She was organized with all the information I provided, responsive, genuine, and just overall a kind person! I'm definitely gonna get more boards from her for other holidays or events I have coming up. She also delivers right to you and has many charcuterie options, like jarcuterie for example. The actual charcuterie was phenomenal. Candied walnuts, prosciutto, halved dates, spiraled salami, pitted cherries, cheeses galore - the meat & cheese board was robust to say the least. The sweet board was sweet tooth heaven. Brownies, chocolate covered everything, Rice Krispies, various cookies, and more. Needless to say, the charcuterie boards were a HIT at my event. Seriously using any excuse just to come here and get more boards. Support women owned & local and order some bomb charcuterie from here!

The board was arranged beautifully from every angle with a mix of cheeses, crackers, meats, chocolate, cookies, olives, and fruits. I really like the effort that was put into including a variety of meat arrangements, cheese shapes, colors, flowers, and other components that made this a stunning work of art to look at. Fortunately, the board tasted just as good as it looks! I found that overall the flavors were a bit more muted, so that you can graze on this over time without feeling fatigue by being bombarded with strong flavors. I feel this may also be to ensure that the components are attractive to a wide audience. Overall, this definitely is worth buying if you're looking to entertain or hold a special event.

I'm a New Yorker, and although I enjoy a good Chicago deep dish, I still favor NY style pizzas. And this one is the best I can remember in Chicago. I've tried a lot. The crust is almost perfect. Well baked, crusty, chewy, and tasty. Lots of air at the edges and a great bite throughout. We had the sausage and peppers pizza. The sausage was crumbled across interior with fresh peppers. The sauce could have had a little more flavor, but it was very good - not too salty like so many others- and nicely spread across the inside of the pie. The crust held the toppings nicely- there was no mush in the middle. We also ordered a pear and pecan salad. Lots of pear squares, plenty of pecans, and a generous amount of greens. The soup of the day was a Tuscan soup - lots of beans, some sausage, cheese, and a flavorful broth. Fresh and homemade. And very good. Oh, and a pitcher of water came to our table with our plates and silverware. No issues. No problems. (From earlier reviews, we had been concerned about the availability of tap water. Ours was fine.). There was a reasonable selection of beer- including craft beers- at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed our meal. Ordering at the counter was easy and efficient. Prices were reasonable and the value was good. We found the service to be pleasant, friendly, and timely. We will be back to try other pizzas and look forward to it.
