Food was good, I really enjoyed the wings. Service was also great. I was from out of town on a business trip and I ended up winning a drawing for Thursday night football. The owner was outstanding, I was making arrangements for someone local to get the item but the owner offered to ship it to me. They went above and beyond my expectations. I love the wings here, so we usually order them to go. We have been here over 25 times since it opened and tonight was the worst experience we've had. We don't have high expectations of the customer service here, so we go knowing that the food will be good. When you walk in and there are 5 people working behind the bar and maybe 20 people sitting at the tables. We waited 10 minutes to have anyone notice us and it wasn't busy. All of the employees walk by at some point with no one asking if we needed drinks or menus. We finally flag down a girl who says she's not supposed to be working. What? Then what is she doing there. We are LDS and don't drink and we politely declined the alcoholic menu and just ordered sodas the waiter must have noticed my wife's temple necklace and just started being the rudest person on earth. Ahhhhhhhh Wing Nutz. I really want to like this place, I really do. It has all the right ingredients to be an awesome sports bar but some things just are a bit off or misplaced.. My boneless chicken wings, were juicy. That's awesome but what's not is the fact that I could see they were just little nuggets of grilled chicken breast in a watery vingerary sauce. At least bread, batter or coat the meat with something so the sauce can stick better. By the way, I'm judging these nuggets as wings. Now, those same nuggets, if not converted into "boneless wings" would make a DELICIOUS grilled chicken fillet. The actual bone in wings; with a name like Wing Nutz, I expected these to be good. They weren't necessarily delicious perfect wings, but they were damn good for being 11pm on a Sunday night. Some of the wings were nice and crunchy, chewy and juicy, yet some, the skin was TOO soft for me. Consider baking/frying last minute for a few seconds to get that crunch I like. The sauce on these were good! The beer selection was shmgeg okay. Definitely not Slackwater but better than your average beer/wine restaurants. The 3 pints I had were local brews, tasty, full bodied, not too bitter with a nice honey like after taste. 3 stars for the matter being that my beers were as COLD AS THEY COME! Nowhere in town have I had my beers be that cold, which is awesome! The waitress; the poor gal you could tell had an extremely long day. She didn't look too happy, but like said previously, 11pm on a Sunday night, service exceeded my expectations. I had 3 pints of seasonal microbrews (she only gave me the name of one, at first she recommended one, 2nd time I asked she said "Wanna try the other" so the recommending stopped there. But she did make sure to bring the beers out fast, asked twice if everything was good and we left her a good tip for putting up with us. I'll probably be back, just to give this place another shot. My wife and I went here for the first time. Not too busy for a Friday night. The atmosphere is a bar with a nice patio area. We were seated right away and our waitress was pleasant and the service was prompt. The wings are very good but for $1 each they're a little pricy. We got the traditional wings and the Jamaican Jerk wings. Both were good. We also got the spicy buffalo chips which were awesome! Total bill was $49 including 20% tip. We went here because I liked the sound of the "baked wings" The service was atrocious..... We were told to sit anywhere when we walked in and then were promptly ignored by the snooty waitress. When she did come over, she took our drink orders, brought our waters and beer back and then disappeared for a bit..... she came back and took our food orders and we literally did not see her again until the check was delivered.......... We waited, and waited and waited for our food to be delivered. It appeared as if they were grossly understaffed this evening because everyone was waiting... I think the food here was decent. Actually the "Hog Wings" were surprisingly good. Other than that, I was unimpressed. I thought that the prices were kind of high for what it was - essentially just a place that sells wings and beer. Particularly given that the servers weren't particularly eager to "serve" me beer and or food. I was sitting at the bar, its not like I was easy to not notice. I think the worst part about this place though was that the whole indoor area was filled with some kind of wing baking haze. Seriously. They really need to ventilate their kitchen. In a town focused on fried foods and where every corner you turn is another new junk food drive thru, it's awesome to have a place that has healthy options ! Veggie platter for an appetizer ? Yes please ! CAGE FREE locally farmed chicken ? Yes please! A mixed greens salad NOT iceberg ? Whoot ! Even their buffalo sauce is healthy with NO butter included ! Add Open late and tasty beers and I'm stoked. If the weather is nice the patio is open which is nice. Service still matters. Upon arriving and asking our waitress for recommendations on how to order. She recommended sharing a few plates. When half our group started having there own conversation about sharing she got offended and treated the whole table like they did not deserve to be in the restaurant. Those who where still listening to her suggestions felt they had to explain (ask for forgiveness) for the conversations at the table explaining "they are just playing" she proceeds to tell them "well I'm not playing" and just pointed to each corner of the menu stating "there's drinks, appetizers, and wings" and walked away. Good wings with an excellent selection of sauces. Their wings are meaty, baked, and not breaded. There's also a good number of sauces to choose from with my favorites being the Raspberry Chipotle (kicked up a notch) and the Traditional. Their blue-cheese dressing, which is a mild blue-cheese, works well with the wings. They also offer buffalo chips, which are their version of fries. They come in an original or spicy variety. I find the original to be a bit bland, but the spicy have a bit more to offer and works well with the blue-cheese as well. They beer selection has declined. They used to offer the Bohemian line and have now substituted it for their own line. This was disappointing, especially since the Wing Nutz Pilsner is a mediocre beer. As others have pointed out, it's not very well ventilated and there can be smokey wing haze. So, if the weather is nice, I'd recommend getting an outside table. They have a few non-wing offerings, but nothing I would recommend. If you're not a wings and beer kind of person, then this isn't the place for you. read more

The only draw-back is the prices are a little inflated, but that's typical of wing joints west of the Mississippi. The wings are baked, not fried, which is something I was skeptical of at first, but they pull it off. The wings are also mostly big and meaty so that's a plus, since an order of 20 leaves me stuffed to the gills. Wing Nutz is not a bad place by Ogden standards. It attracts an eclectic crowd which is cool. The prices are not unreasonable, my order was tasty, and the staff do an okay job. It is a restaurant and not a bar by Utah law, so you'll have to order food with your drinks. The reason why I am giving an A-OK rating is that it doesn't go above and beyond. It's pretty average service and food -- nothing exciting. The men's room had no paper towels which is unacceptable for a wings place. First off, I ordered a jack and seven and it was the weakest drink ever. We sent it back and was told that in Utah they are only allowed to put one shot in a mixed drink. That's fine but this drink was no where close to one full shot. The waitress offered to put it in a smaller glass...like that does anything? I sent it back again. Service was extremely slow and people that sat down after us were served first. My husband ordered the raspberry chipotle wings and the sauce was just haphazardly throw off to the side and partially on some of the wings.
