Found myself in Waterbury one day last week and was hungry. I used to frequent the Meriden location and that location was the worse so I had reservations about eating here. The staff is great, and the management seems super responsive to customer feedback and interested in providing great service. We have been going to wing it on since they opened, however we have definitely noticed a decline in the quality of their food. The last two times the sauce was wrong and there was barely any on my wings, I understand mistakes happen but I just called the second time to get it corrected. I told the girl, even apologized(not that I did anything wrong?) and she just put me on hold without telling me. Then the manager picked up and started arguing with me that he changed the sauce recipe( took the garlic out of raging garlic? Ok, weird) and didn't offer to make us happy. I do love their burgers; however, one time while going there I was sitting and waiting for my burgers (3 ordered for the family) for 50 minutes. No exaggeration. After about 30 minutes, a man came over and asked me if I was taken care of. I told him my order and 20 minutes later it was ready. It is almost as if the order was never placed. I have been to this location a total of 5 times and so far that was my only bad experience. Funny thing is, a coworker of mine shared the same story when she went. She did not wait as long because she voiced up after about 20 minutes, but what is going on there? The interior decor is mostly college banners from sports teams and they have a tv or two setup to watch while you wait for your order. The staff is very friendly and I learned my lesson to call in my order unless I plan on sitting there for a while. The parking lot is a disaster. Potholes everywhere. It is also very difficult to get in and out of. However, it is doable. Prices are average and reasonable considering the meat is cooked fresh. Never had their wings or anything else for that matter (maybe fries and onion rings once upon a time) so I cannot make any comments on the rest of their menu, but the burgers are so good that I had to give this place a high rating. Afterall, everyone makes mistakes and the man did come out to see what was going on, but it is strange that there were two customers who had the same problem and we are talking a about year between experiences. I will continue to go to this location and hope that 1 out of 5 becomes 1 out of 10, and so on. I recommend giving this place a shot, but if you feel that you have been forgotten make sure to voice up. read more

I've been here twice so far. I love that they have delivery during the day. I'll start out with the positives. The teriyaki wings are delicious. I love the sauce it's so good. I also got the fried pickles, which wa the first time I've ever had fried pickles and they were very good, the batter stayed on and the pickles were good quality pickles. Now for the reason for three stars. The first time I went I got the garlic Parmesan wings and they were terrible. They had a bad taste and were very dry. Also the last time I went the wings were small they seemed the same size as frozen ones at the grocery store. I'm a wing lover so I'm always on the look out for a great wing place and I've found one. I would say its more of a take out place even though they have a few tables to sit at. I've tried a couple of flavors , wasn't a big fan of the mild or medium. I think I may have found my ultimate favorite though which is the Hot BBQ w their Medium BBQ sauce, my boy hates BBQ sauce and even he ended up loving them. It has a a sweet heat yet tangy kind of taste and the wings are perfectly done crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Just perfect. People that have tried their wings also rave about them, although the three times I've gone only with the intention of wings. I have been to wing it on at least 10 ten times and each trip is worst that the last. Their wait times, quality of food, and price and all less than desirable. If they tell you 15 minutes on the phone expect to wait at least 45. Don't even consider delivery unless you enjoy cold chicken two hours after you order it. I love this place for take out. The burgers and the WOP wings are my favorite. Since I have a spicy tooth, I always order my food with the hottest sauce available, which is plenty hot (I've gotten immune to the heat because I've eaten hotter). Also, they were cool with me having a WOP dipping sauce with the fries. I don't order when it appears they have a lot of customers; that's an indication that your order would take a while. read more

I've made Wing It On a stop while running through the towns of CT for work and can safely say these are the best wings outside of Elmos (Getzville, NY). Great food, good people. Had wings, quesadilla wrap and burgers along with a salad. All were great. Very good ingredient quality and the chef took great care. We were impressed. Only ding was the AC was out and it was over 90 degrees inside. Also, don't worry about the outer appearance of the little shopping center they are in. I'm disappointed with my experience here. I had been wanting to visit for months until I actually did. I should mention this is a review of sometime in mid 2017. When I went in, there were no patrons, just a young man, a middle aged man and an older gentleman. I ordered 2 buffalo chicken sandwiches and wings. The buffalo chicken sandwiches were great. Literally, some of the best I've had. I would definitely recommend those! However, the wings, I couldn't even bring myself to eat and gave them to a friend. I don't even know how to describe the flavor but it just was not good and "fake" tasting which my friend agreed with. The wait was absolutely the worst part of this whole experience. I waited 30-35 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 6 wings....... I don't even wait that long at restaurants. I may go back this year and give it another shot because the flavor of the buffalo chicken sandwiches was excellent, but definitely will never order wings here again. read more

I am editing my first review. After several more visits, I give Wing It On an enthusiastic five stars. They focus on chicken, burgers, and fries, and they do them consistently well. The chicken is so good that I can't make myself try the burgers. Definitely give the garlic Parmesan fries a try if you visit (try not to think about the calories). First visit: Wing it on truly does bring it on. The boneless chicken tenderloins were plump, tender, and perfectly cooked. The Red White & Blue sauce is the perfect blend of blue cheese and buffalo kick. The celery was green and crisp, perfect for dipping in what tastes like homemade blue cheese dressing. The fried jalapeño peppers were a nice addition. I anticipate visiting again and rating Wing it On as a 5...but they didn't have fried pickles. Fried pickles were my reason for going out of my way to visit Wing it On. I'll be back to try their wings and pickles. read more

just went for the first time last night and i cant wait to get back again!!!! the parm garlic fries were AWESOME! i went with my husband and 2 teenager boys and everyone loved what they got!!!!!!!! i would have given 5 stars but i had 1 little complaint. Our bill was $51 for the 4 of us which i thought was a little high for a "joint" type of place. you know where no one waits on you or anything i wish they had like some sort of deals where you could get fries with your burger or wings or wrap and not have to buy a complete order separate. maybe just add fries for like $1.50 or something like that. Another note every single employee including the cooks came to ask us how we liked our food which i thought was great. I will def be back the food was great!!!!!! read more
