So... This is actually the only BDub's I know of in this entire state, so I can't compare it to any others in even the Northeast, let alone Connecticut. The only other ones I have seen are in Florida. But, that said, I am glad this location exists given this place used to be a Hometown Buffet more than 10 years ago. Honestly, making this spot a Buffalo Wild Wings was the way to go here because Waterbury is not what I would call a thriving city. So I have eaten there a few times over the years, and every time it's been a decent albeit expensive trip. I always love me their Desert Heat wings. That dry rub is a perfect fit as far as how I like my chicken seasoned! And their Blue Hawaiian drinks are pretty good too, but it's better to have this on a hotter day because they put a lot of ice in that drink! Fries go great with their bacon and cheese additions. On tonight's visit, I did there traditional and boneless combo, which came with the fries (and I got the add-in's as I liked on them as well which was good) and slaw. The slaw was good as well, no complaints there. On the traditional wings portion of the combo, I decided to try something different: I had their limited time Honey Sriracha sauce on those wings and asked for all flats. Now, this did mean that table manners were left at the door because of how sticky the sauce got, but I had learned a while ago the proper way to eat a flat, so I was thrilled they got all flats on my plate the way I had ordered them! Yes, cavemen, you can make fun of me at the dinner table next time you want to invite me over. So the food's good and at least the waitress I got had good customer service (and I guess the cooks as well), so already you're quite classy for Waterbury standards (which honestly doesn't say a whole lot when you consider this is Waterbury we're talking about and not Posh Heights in like Lavishland or something). But what about the ambiance? Well, it's what you would expect from a sports bar. TV's surrounding you with enough games on to keep you occupied as you wait on your order, and some have the trivia questions as well. Some questions were obvious such as the one where it asked who sung "Flowers", but pay attention a while and you might learn some new things. For example, because I'm not a history buff by any stretch of the word, I thought it was cool to learn how Puerto Rico came into the US fold on their "This Day in History" segment. Back to the waitress who served me, I did notice on my first Blue Hawaiian that she sprayed down the table next to the one I was eating at, and she seemed pretty pleasant with all the customers she served, so maybe I just lucked out and got a good waitress or the complaints from other people about customer services could have been addressed over the years. I don't really care which it is, but be a decent human being around me at least and you will get respect in return. Tonight's bill given what I ordered could've been a good deal worse than it actually was. I mean, the combo was a bit pricey, but I actually was expecting to pay more than I actually did on the drinks, so $9 a Blue Hawaiian was not too bad. And honestly, the amount of food did kind of justify the around $25 that costed. Now my bank did have a 10% cash back deal on BDub's I activated a little less than 2 hours before I came in here tonight, so we'll see how that goes and that'll decide the next time I come back here. But overall, I think 4 stars is the right rating for this. It's a case of being what you would expect with food and drinks that have 4-star quality for a sports bar. read more

The food is fast food so it's pretty standard but the person at the take out section was vile. I have never encountered someone so beyond rude. They forgot my drink and when I brought it up she gave me an attitude about how they don't have iced tea. Okay, then when I picked up my food that's when the conversation should have happened and an apology. When I asked about the sauces and ranch for the celery/carrots rather than politely saying it's in this bag and showing me she just said flippantly that it was in the bag (but it wasn't) so she had to go get that. When I told her that I was missing fries she told me the wedges were my side, I showed her on the receipt that it was a separate order. She reluctantly went back again. I understand that this was probably annoying but if the order was properly checked initially then there wouldn't have been an issue she could have apologized once for the inconvenience. I have been to many different Buffalo Wild Wings locations: some have been great. Unfortunately, this was not one of those locations. I should have listened to the reviews, but I was on the road heading back home from a long trip and wanted somewhere to eat. One of the first things that stood out to me about the establishment was that the carpeting was extremely sticky. It felt as though my shoes were glued to the floor with each step. It's as if soda had been repeatedly spilled on the carpet and the carpet had not been cleaned in a long time. I wanted to try out the new Mountain Dew Legend drink. However, the drink was way too sweet for my tastes. The drink just was not it for me. I then ordered the House tap beer. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of this beer, either. It reminded me of a more watered-down version of a Bud Light. I was only able to drink about a quarter of my glass before I gave up on it. The Buffalo Bleu Burger was just okay. Nothing really to note with the item. The fries were pretty decent. The traditional wings were just what I expected them to be. They were decent, just like what I expect from other Buffalo Wild Wings locations. In short, I do not recommend this Buffalo Wild Wings location. Surprisingly enough, I've heard a lot of bad reviews about this Buffalo wild wings and I would say this is probably my second time coming here and I actually came here on the Fourth of July and I had an amazing experience. For starters, I had a really great waitress. It was a young lady. I forgot her name, but she was super attentive, extremely sweet and make sure our order was correct the entire time I ordered nachos and a burger and my husband ordered wings and all of our food came out really great. I would read it probably a seven out of 10 for everything and I had no issues overall. I ordered my lunch thru Uber eats the other day, the containers they use for their food don't stay shut and the carelessness of my driver made it so i couldn't eat my food. Please see the picture of the food in the bag. Fries were spilled all over and the container was open. My driver was unkempt in her own personal hygiene so I'm not sure how her car was. I refused to eat this food because I'm not sure what the driver could have done to my food. Attending the University of Connecticut at their Waterbury location, I was glad to see that they had establish this location when I was there, I had the opportunity to return here after a work meeting and was glad that they replaced the failing HomeTown Buffet with this location full of TVs with all types of games and shows, happy hour and local nightly events. I along with two other coworkers decided to stop and vent a little while traffic in Waterbury continued with drinks and happy hour. Anything under 8 abv is $4 with the happy hour so I was able to enjoy a somewhat strong IPA which munching on chips and queso. I always forget that Buffalo Wild Wings does their queso super spicy for me whether it is the chili for an additional dollar or the queso itself; but being one the bigger options on happy hour to share, it's always my go to. The place was a little quiet on this Thursday around 4:45pm but I can imagine this place fills up with patrons of their respective sports. Gave 3 stars as all I got was the queso dip and IPA. The waitress either was irked that we didn't order more and just chit chatted or from the rainy day that soaked through everyone's mood. Normally I wouldn't share this because it definitely involves politics and I always feel stupid writing long reviews when I'm giving someone a bad one- but since this isn't my first bad experience here, I'm just going to put it out there. We walked into the entrance of BWW I had my husband who was holding our under 2 toddler wait bc I was going to ask for a mask for him as the sign on the door didn't mention vaccination but just said the establishment requires a mask. There were 3 girls at the front, one of which led me to complain tonight. I politely asked if they had extras as my husband didn't have one but I did. She rudely told me no. Ok- told her I would like a table for 3 (key note: husband was still in the ENCLOSED entrance -literally glass door closed) she picked up menus and told me to follow her. I asked if he could come walk in then without the mask since the table was available. She goes "no- he CANT enter" Her attitude was horrible and her voice dripped with it. I left and walked into Michael's and Dick's Sporting Goods to ask for a mask (DSG had extra!) and went back to BWW. We both entered - masked - were seated and I asked to speak with someone. Again, we happily comply with business policy in these trying times. We wear a mask in all establishments. We simply didn't have two when we first got there and the unnecessary attitude and rudeness pushed me over the edge. Not to mention, half their own staff was wearing their masks under their noses, some weren't wearing them when they should be (saw people in kitchen with them off and not eating or drinking water) and multiple families that came in after us (also key to note: no one pulled the rude girl aside nor went up to her to inform her of their current rules or just to be less rude) that were completely unmasked before they got to the door!!! Oh! And if you're going to require someone to have a mask you should have extra PPE to provide (even just in case a mask breaks or gets lost for employees too!) I walked into BBW without my mask-less spouse asking for an extra mask. I didn't come in combative or rudely or insisting I didn't have to wear one. As someone whose worked in food establishments, I know how horrible people treat us and I try to do the exact opposite but I'm sorry if you're greeting customers like that you shouldn't be working somewhere that deals with people, especially during COVID tension-filled times. read more

They've barely been open a week, so the service is a little slow, but once they figure out their groove, they ought to be fine. I had the rib and wing combo, which seemed a little small at first, but I was pretty pleasantly full after scarfing it. The ribs were good enough to tide me over until next week when I go to South Carolina where I can have my Dad's, which are obviously the best ever. The honey BBQ sauce they do them with is really good and has a little kick to it, which is nice. I had the carribean jerk sauce on my wings, which is decieving. It seems mild-y medium at first bite, but a few wings in it burns. It also was really good though! Also, props on the fries being really crispy. Soggy mush fries suck! Meh. That pretty much sums it up for me. The food is okay but there are better choices around. I had the boneless wings in the Spicy Garlic and Medium Buffalo sauces. The sauces were pretty good but the chicken was a bit dry and tough. On the other hand, the Cherry Limeade for a drink and OMG was that good! It was a delicious concoction albeit a very sugary one that fortunately came with free refills. The menu has the calories listed for each item and in some cases it was absolutely shocking. It's not like I was eating here because I thought it was health food but it was truly shocking to see what each item has for calories. Overall, I'd prefer to stick with other independent restaurants when craving a spicy chicken wing but I wouldn't turn down a social gathering here. Third time and this time we brought the 4 kids. Even though it's a sports bar it's super kid friendly! From corn dogs to wings, there was something for every picky one of them! We've told them they're "in training" to try the Four Horseman (world's spiciest burger) in San Antonio, TX. So they are very excited to follow the heat chart each time they return to increase their heat intake. ALL of us are a big fan of the salt 'n vinegar wings. Terrible. I placed on online order thru the BWW website. Turns out it was turned over to DoorDash for delivery which was fine. I travel extensively throughout the US for business so I am accustomed to getting deliveries at my hotel. In this case, I placed the order thru BWW's website and once the order was delivered, I quickly realized that the Pretzel knots and dipping sauces weren't included in my order that I was charged for. I called the restaurant they were quick to say I need to call DoorDash. I said I ordered thru BWW (this is EXACTLY why i ordered this way!) and she said she will get a manager. The poor excuse of a manager came on the line and basically acted like it is MY fault. Are you kidding me BWW????? He said they are out of the pretzel knots. My simple question was WHY they received my order, filled my order, shipped my order and NOBODY contacted me. Instead, they just let it go thru and again, make it MY problem to call them, question the order and go thru a bunch of BS to have them remove from my order. Guess what BWW. Stopped in for lunch with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant mostly empty. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food also came quickly, as well as the drinks. I ordered the black bean burger and an order of garlic mushrooms. The garlic mushrooms were delicious, the sauce was garlicky and I ended up keeping it to dip my potato wedges. This place is absolutely horrible the one in Waterberry Connecticut the last three times I went there my chicken was undercooked I could even make it to the bathroom outside parking lot I had to run to McDonald's I gave it one more shot about a week ago it took a half an hour for me to get a waitress once we finally put our orders and it took 20 more minutes for them to tell me they ran out of Boneless wings. This is the third time I've been here over the last three years and it is just not worth going to. To be fair the wings are okay but expensive for what they are - 18 wings for $23. Now for the three times I've eaten here - First time was grilled chicken sandwich - cooked until it was a piece of chewy rubber. I tried a chicken sandwich a second time and not as bad but still tough. Today I had a burger and it was horrible. The standard burger is made with two smashed patties which meant loosely packed and had holes that I could see through it in two spots. Then cooked into a crispy, yes crispy, chunk of well done meat. It was dry as anything and grizzly in my mouth with the crispy parts. If you want wings and willing to pay the extra its okay, beyond that just run to somewhere else - McDonald next door burgers are WAY better. read more

I called to let them know that I was not satisfied with my food after I drove all the way there to pick it up and paid for it, the manager was very unprofessional and laughed at me on the phone as if something was funny and told me that I had to drive back there and bring the food back if I wanted a refund. She was walking around socializing with other employees. A different waitress brought us our food but one order was wrong so she went back to put the right order in as we thought. Twenty minutes later still no food. Also when the 2 correct meals arrived, there was no silverware to eat the food. We asked about the other meal and they were checking on it. After 15 more minutes still no food or silverware. No waitress or busboy make eye contact with you so you can't call them over. Our waitress never returned to the table even after we ask where the other meal was. Some of the staff were more interested in socializing than working.
