I went to this restaurant today and was given the worst experience I've ever had. Let me tell you Ive been in the restaurant industry for years and this is by far the WORST I've ever seen. I ordered the shrimp and scallop appetizer and when it came out I cut the scallops in half about to eat them when I realized they were translucent and raw. When I asked the waitress if she could have the kitchen cook them a little more she left to go talk to them. She then returned and said he said, "this is the way I cook them, and I can't cook them any longer"... that's a little concerning considering for one these were raw and two would it kill you to cook them a little longer? I personally would never eat here if I were you, I can only imagine what happens in that kitchen if cooking scallops a little longer was a huge problem, and that raw scallops are what they're cooking on an every day basis.... read more

Love this quaint spot and Liam is so attentive and accommodating! The pizza is delicious as is the wine and I LOVE as a wine person they have Oaked and unoaked Chardonnay (hard to come by). They have brunch too and they are open all the time and in off season there are very few places open. Don't be turned off by the street I promise it's classy inside with range of options for drink to please every palate. read more

Just moved to Niagara Falls, NY and was looking for some dinner after a long day of moving. This place did made my day relaxing. This place looked amazing and relaxing with different paintings and decorations. There are shelves full of wine, which makes the place look really like a wine bar. We started with some Tavernello Pinot Grigio and Barba Montepulciano D'Abruzzo wines and truffle fries as an appetizer. The truffle fries portion was huge, enough for 3 people. For entree we shared a Margherita pizza (huge portion) and we order vodka penne and angus burger. These were too much food for 3 of us, so we ended up taking the whole vodka penne to go. Foods and drinks were amazing and delicious. We will definitely come back to have more dinner since it is an amazing restaurant and down the street where I live. read more

After coming here again last Friday, I wanted to update my review and let others know that this place is worth driving out to Niagara Falls for. Although it's pricey, in a sea of restaurants where fine dining is a largely unfulfilled niche, this newest addition to Third Street takes the cake and eats it too. The food and service are incredible and the ambiance is classy, romantic yet also casual and comfortable. You would feel as comfortable coming here in jeans as you would dressing up in a full suit and tie and you won't feel awkward or out of place one way or another. I had the house filet steak last weekend and I enjoyed it a lot. Although the meat itself didn't have too many spices, it was perfectly cooked to order and paired with blue cheese which gave it a fine balance of flavor. Although I'm not a fan of blue cheese on its own (it's a bit too sharp for me), with the steak it was a great match. Although at $35+, it was a small 8oz piece and I would have loved a baked potato or something to come with it. Would have really added a hearty punch to the meal. I look forward to coming here again, but the high price points : portion ratio keep me from going here everyday. I understand its fine dining, but a baked potato with steak wouldn't be going to far off the mark, would it? read more

This was one of my favorite places that we ate and drank during our 8 day trip through Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware. We found the place while Yelping in our hotel in Niagara after trying to find a cool place to chill. Yelp comes through again. We walked the half mile or so from our hotel room through what felt like a sea of Indian restaurants to finally get here. Nothing wrong with Indian restaurants, just surprised by the amount. The street had a bunch of bars and restaurants but nothing seemed very busy. Wine on Third had maybe 2 or 3 other couples there. So it was a very relaxed vibe. We sat at the bar and the lady friend got a glass of wine and I ordered a beer. They have 8 or so on tap and I believe all were from local microbrews. We then decided to get a margherita pizza and a Mediterranean sampler. Both were phenomenally good. We sat there for a few hours drinking and feeding our faces. The bar tender was awesome. She was attentive, friendly and helpful. Definitely a hidden gem and an escape from the touristy madness near the falls. read more

We had a really nice evening, enjoying tapas and drinks. Great atmosphere and service.

Wife and I stopped here to grab lunch on a Thursday. The bartender was super friendly and took our orders really efficiently. We ordered the mango habanero wings and the half rotisserie chicken... both were absolutely delicious. They also have a wide selection of brews, wines, and a full bar. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite when in the area. We would definitely come back. read more

Went here when struggling to find a place to eat in Niagara Falls area. We decided to try out Wine on Third due to its good reviews and it was fairly close to us. We sat down and our waitress was very accommodating. I asked her what was this places "dish" and she said their pizza really was their poster child. So we said let's do it! We had the Sweet Barbecue Chicken Pizza with Onions and unfortunately it was nothing more than average pizza. The flavors didn't really match all that well in our opinion I wish we opted for the Italian meat pie but I doubt it would have been much different. I could taste the lack of passion in this meal and it was just disappointing. I'm giving this place a 3 because of its nice service. I would not recommend for a solely dining experience. read more

Wife and I came here for dinner. Ordered a chicken and spinach pizza. The pizza had a very thin layer of cheese and no tomato base. There was probably less than three tablespoons of spinach. Basically, the pizza was toasted bread with a very small bit of cheese, etc. Also, my wife ordered a Manhattan. Waiter came back and said they didn't have sweet vermouth in stock. (She ended up getting wine) Very disappointing and over priced for what you get. read more

First let me say what a nice restaurant/bar this is just to hang out in. The gentleman that was singing the night (a Friday night) we were there was outstanding. We started with the Beef on Weck as an appetizer. I really liked the horseradish aioli but unfortunately the beef in the bread pockets was way too salty for me. Then we shared the Strip steak. What a great steak! My BF and I actually shared everything and the strip steak with the small appetizer was plenty of food. For dessert my bf got the apple tart and I got the chocolate martini. The martini was yummy and smooth. The tart was the perfect size and not overly sweet. I don't love apple desserts but I really enjoyed this tart - and the crust was really good! read more

We came here based on a recommendation from the app #BringFido as we were looking for #dogfriendly restaurants in Niagara Falls. We were not disappointed. We got there and there were some regulars sitting outside that made us and our pups feel so welcome and got us menus and let them know inside that we were there. This restaurant serves tapas style which was fine with us as we usually share anyway. We started off with one of our favorite appetizers of bruschetta - this is a must try as it is one of the best that we have ever had. We also had the field salad that was really good and the Beef of Weck Rolls which I had never had and was delicious. We will definitely be back the next time that we are in #NiagaraFalls area. read more

It is amazing how few decent restaurants are at Niagara Falls on the US side, so it was a pleasant surprise to find Wine on Third. I had the salmon risotto. A generous piece of salmon, which was seasoned and cooked well, was placed on top of the risotto along with four sprigs of asparagus. For dessert, I had carrot cake. It was fresh and delicious. A lot of restaurants today are too darn loud. Not so here. It was relatively quiet inside, so it is easy to talk to your friends or family! We walked from the Comfort Inn, and it only took around 15 minutes. There seems to be street parking too. read more

I grew up around Niagara Falls and have always driven by this place and admired the restaurant itself and the people that were there. Well, finally made it in the doors! I am a sucker for the small things. I came in with my friend on a week night for a couple glasses of wine. The bartenders greeted us, asked us our names, shook our hands and asked us questions about ourselves. We made friends! When our bill came, our names were on it.. which I think was lovely! The drink selection is great, we found a new wine we liked. We didn't eat, however, they have a deal on Monday's & Tuesday's that will definitely bring me in the door again. Bottle of wine, salad and a pizza for $30. Seeing that 1 glass of wine is between $6-$8, that is a steal! I think I found my new favorite spot :) read more

Boyfriend and I came to Wine on Third on our last night in Niagara Falls, and found that this place is a bright, bright spot in the otherwise dark and dismal dining experience one finds in this city. We arrived just before 9pm, and were told that we'd be the last to be served dinner, though the bar closes at 11p. They were not ready to seat us, though, and we waited with two glasses of wine at the bar in the back of the first main room. Ten or so minutes later, us and our glasses of wine were directed to the other side of the restaurant, a second room that was just as large as the first one. I'm not entirely sure why we couldn't be seated for ten minutes, though, because there were multiple empty tables over there and no one left before we sat down. Minor things, though. We were given a tapas/appetizers menu and a separate list of the day's entrees, and were told that a few of the tapas dishes had run out as it was the end of the day. We were also brought some bread with herb-infused oil for dipping. I don't remember which herbs but it was delicious. We ordered one tapas dish to share, the classic bruschetta, three slices of crusty bread covered in olive oil and tomatoes, which was rather delicious. Un-classically, their bruschetta contained capers and olives, the latter of which I'm not a fan, but it worked really well anyway. Both of us ordered entrees that are not on their online menu. Boyfriend had chicken, artichokes, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms over linguini in a dill cream sauce. It was incredible. I had a steak and I kept on dipping little pieces of it into his sauce, which was light and dill-flavorful. I love cream dill sauce now, I'm going to make it at home all of the time. I had a New York strip steak with a loaded baked potato and roasted asparagus in a mushroom sauce. It was DELICIOUS and HUGE. Boyfriend kept saying that my steak wasn't a steak, it was a cow. It was twice the size of any steak I was expecting. The baked potato was even bigger. It was literally the size of both my fists, and it was actually loaded with sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon, and some scallions. Could have used a couple more scallions. (I'm going to be posting photos of everything, so check that out!) With the giant size of our entrees, we had absolutely no room for dessert. I'm a little disappointed, because I overheard the waiter telling another table about cheesecake. My only real complaint (other than wondering why we couldn't be seated immediately) is that the waiter could have been more attentive with refilling the water. Other than that, AWESOME RESTAURANT. If i ever come back to Niagara Falls, NY I'd definitely eat here again. read more

This place is fantastic. We ordered a couple of tapas to start, including the grilled asparagus (the best!!) and the bruschetta, which was interestingly covered with blue cheese crumbles and had honey drizzled on it. We were also served house bread with oil/balsamic dipping sauce. For our meal we ordered one of the special pizzas, the Greek pizza. My only complaint about the pizza was that it was too liberally topped with feta, kalamata olives, and pesto. I would normally never complain about this, as I love all of those ingredients, but on a small pizza those flavors can become very overwhelming. For dessert we ordered the tuxedo cake, which was also very good. The wine list is varied, which was, of course, expected and appreciated. Our meal, consisting of 2 rounds of drinks, 2 tapas, 1 pizza to split and 1 dessert to split, along with tax and tip, set us back $85. It was worth it as we got to take in a multitude of flavors over a series of courses. All in all we had a lovely dinner here and would return again if we are in the area. read more

My better half and I were going to a concert at Rapids Theatre one night when we realized we were way too early and not trying to wait outside. Let's go to dinner? Um, yes. Of course. Pulled up Yelp and found this beauty of an establishment! When we pulled up there were lots of different types of people out on the patio enjoying their food and drinks (which looked way fancy). I tried to catch a sneak peek of everyone's plates to help me make a decision upon entering. We sat at a cozy booth right across from the bar. There was live music (Steve Ballistieri?) which was excellent and perfect for the atmosphere. Our server was great. He was quick, attentive, and a complete gentleman. The food was beautiful and it was fast. Most importantly it was delicious. I opted for the Chilled Tuna entree. Chilled Ahi Tuna encrusted with sesame seeds atop suba noodles and wakame. The presentation was gorgeous (photo has been posted) and it tasted even better than it looked. Some of the best tuna I've had. It was fresh and filling. My boyfriend had the Angus Burger which was so monsterous it turned out to be two meals.... which is okay with me because I got to help eat it later. Just completely fresh meat on a bun toasted to perfection. Fries on the side were crisp and of course perfect with the burger. Aside from my dirty martini I opted to try one of their signature cocktails... a citrus martini with rosemary. It complimented my dinner completely. It was perfect for a nice night out. Cool, refreshing, and a bite that I needed. All in all this was fantastic and I can't wait to make it back! read more

Went here with girlfriends this summer and I must say it was a very nice warm welcoming restaurant. We sat at the bar and we were pretty loud as girlfriends that don't get to see each other often usually are. The bartender was fantastic even to my picky drink friends. Chocolate martinis were great. I had a southern peach type martini and it was great another friend ordered a drink and didn't care for it and the bartender asked what she really liked and just made her a new concoction. Also order pizza and salad for us to share and all was good. Overall we felt safe, comfortable and appreciated by this restaurant. So weird to write appreciated but that totally describes all the feels! We would definitely return. Lots of tourists were there & that was really nice to see for Niagara Falls! read more

Yummiest pizza fabulous wine selections great vibes. Friendly owner & bartenders. Cheers!!

Im not sure if we just happened to stopped by on a bad day, but really unpleasant experience. Hubby and i looked up this place and decided to go for dinner, first of all, wines are nice. But thats it! We ordered a greek tapas, scallops, and a pasta of the day. The breads of the tapas has greenish moldy dots on them! They agree to remove it from the bill, but i asked them if they can exchange the bread instead? They agreed, but the breads came the second time are warm, which is ok, but the breads that came originally with the dish were cold! So I'm not sure if the breads that come with tapas suppose to be warm or cold?.... I mean thats pretty much it, after the appetizer, we couldn't really enjoy the rest of meal anymore, the only reason i would five a three stars is because the scallops were decent, and wines are good. Bottom line, wouldn't recommend it unless you are just there for drinks. read more

At first we thought "What are we getting into. This isn't what we thought.". Then Alicia sat us in the dining room and all was good. We started with a moderately prices proseco since we were celebrating. Then ordered the tuna sashimi and the mussels. The tuna for this non-raw fish lover was immaculate. I ate one whole slice myself. The mussels in a spicy tomato broth will prompt a recipe recreation like no other. We wanted to drink the sauce. So, if you're reading this sear chef I'd love the recipe. The hubs ordered the mahi mahi. Wow. Perfectly cooked with a nice Asian glaze. He kept giving me bites, but I think he wanted bites of my chop in trade. The pork chop was amazing. Honestly the best chop we have ever had out. Ever. It was perfectly cooked with a delicious rub. The potatoes were deliciously crisp and veggies had a wood fire d flavor that was fabulous. And Alicia was hilarious. She was very helpful and knowledgeable on wines and the menu.
