This is one of my favorite places to frequent in Laguna Beach ! The food and wine is always on point. They have a rotating wine special to change things up weekly. The staff is super friendly. So I usually sit at the bar. This place is great for a special date, first date, or any date I have enjoyed all the food I've tried. Tacos were a little small but yummy. Hamburger is a must if you are hungry. The mussels are on point, try with bread instead of the fries to soak up the yummy broth. I'm in love with the goat cheese and fig bruschetta. The other night I tried the skirt steak with chimchurri sauce. OMG! Good! I haven't tried the charcuterie board yet, sorry ! I'll work on that ! Oh and the meatballs! Love em! I had a great experience. My husband and I went in for his birthday dinner. I ordered for the main dish the Shrimp and it was cooked properly and delicious. I did enjoy the polenta as well. My husband got the steak with asparagus and overall cooked perfect as well. Our server was amazing Courtney - very warm and made sure to check on us enough times to know we were happy. Stop by this little jewel in Laguna Beach. They open at five so I try to get there early if you want sit at the bar. Wasn't very hungry so I went salad and appetizer way. Started off with the house salad which is a perfectly made. The lettuce is crispy and has a nice crunch to it. I don't know what their house dressing is. It's tossed into the salad. Great flavors - light flavors of Citrus, spices, and garlic. They do not douse the salad in dressing. We then ordered some skillet cauliflower. Usually one of my favorites but they cook everything in a brick oven and broiler and it was a bit too over cooked with dark burnt edges everywhere. We ordered the beat burrata salad which contains two different color beets, One was orange the other beats were red served over burrata pieces a really nice dressing is drizzled over top. This is a light fresh salad and very enjoyable. The last item we ordered was there chicken wings and asked for the sauce to be on the side and they too were cooked perfectly. So large almost the size of a chicken leg. A+ on that. They do have a large chalkboard with daily specials which is kind of nice to try other items other than what's on the menu. The hostess and the servers were great the bartenders were a little distracted and slow. My overall experience was it was quaint and very yummy. read more

Pretty much a locals only place since it's down the road from the touristy areas you find Chris' place. He works the bar most nights and makes his own wines that rival the best in Sta Rita Hills (everyone loves a small producer. I'm giving this a negative rating because the people at the front door won't even attempt to seat you or fit you in. We were told the bar was reservation only by a teenager working in the front. I've never seen a restaurant do bar seating as a reservation. In my opinion this restaurant is losing a lot of money because the people at the front are turning people away maybe because they just don't want to work. read more

Wine gallery has become my favorite spot to eat in Laguna; not only because of the great service, but also because the food is just always excellent no matter what you get. I've been here countless times and usually order at least one wood fired pizza to share with my dad (it's his favorite spot too) every visit. i highly recommend the fungi pizza if you're a fan of mushrooms, but all of them are tasty. I also have to comment on the fact that french fries aren't usually something i'd get as an appetizer, but their fries are so incredibly good - always fresh, crispy, light and seasoned well - that i feel obligated to order them almost every time. that truffle sauce that's served alongside them is also amazing! not to mention they make a damn good burger and bolognese sauce as well. And honestly, for the portion sizes which are perfect and the sheer QUALITY of the food being served here, the prices are great. Definitely stop by if you're in Laguna and craving a delicious, hand-crafted meal made with high quality ingredients. read more

Its like a local upscale neighborhood pub where everybody is friendly and the staff treats you like they know you (It looked like quite a few customers were regulars and had fun relationship with staff). Have been here multiple times in the past and always had a good time, service was never memorable but it wasn't lacking. Prices have always seemed on the higher end, even for Laguna. But this visit to Wine Gallery was very different. We arrived at around 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The place was not busy with multiple tables open. We sat around waiting for a good ten minutes before anyone approached us. Once approached we were ready to order. We ordered a bottle, a pizza and two dishes (the mussels and the shishito peppers. Another ten minutes pass and our bottle was brought to us and served. Our table of 3 enjoys a glass of wine and our pizza arrives. We start enjoying our pizza having a slice each, trying to pace ourselves so we can enjoy our other dishes. We finish another glass, and end up finishing the pizza. I Was considering another bottle but wait, where is the rest of our food? At this point we are sitting around confused having ordered well over 45 minutes ago. Our waitress finally comes by and asks if we are ok, seeing that we seem to be staring at her wondering where our food is? Seeming completely oblivious, we simply ask for the check, since our food never came out, our wine is done and we are all about over it. The bill is brought out, and the two dishes that we never received are on the bill. Had our server checked on us, maybe she would have noticed that we never received them. We flag her down, and explain that they never arrived. Were given a simple "I don't know what happened?" She stepped away to go ask around and comes back with the check revised to just the items we did receive and gives no further explanation except that the pizza order goes to the pizza oven and the other dishes are sent to another part of the kitchen. At this point the place has a few occupied tables but more empty tables than occupied. They don't close until 10:30pm. I'm not sure why our food never came out. Left a little hungry and bummed, but decided to continue our evening elsewhere. Not the service I expected here. Hopefully this was just an off day for them, at my groups expense. read more

Wine, I had one glass, good portion, fresh and tasty. Service....no one was attentive or engaging. I heard the waiter behind me engaging his table but only because they knew the owner and clearly he knew that!! The bartender took forever to do anything. She was friendly, but not engaging at all. She was on her phone up until it got busy and then it got even worse after that. I'm not sure if they are understaffed, but I was less than impressed with the attentiveness and sense of urgency. I had the pleasure of dining here while on a quick work trip. I could have stayed all night. The ambiance is so warm, cozy and rustic with a classy twist. The food is to die for!
