They were amazing. They were prompt for the quote. Show up on time and were so professional, precise and provided fantastic quality at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future. read more

I just had a large 4 large trees cut down and a few others trimmed. Windy City was very professional and knowledgeable about their services. They also gave us great pricing. They Ended up doing 3 other families in our neighborhood. I highly recommend. Small family owned and the owner is on the crew doing the work himself. You don't get that very often and it was very appreciated. I will be using them again and referring them business as well!! https://windycitytreeservice.com (708) 996-2180 read more

Windy City Tree Service - Cleaning up - Tree Services Near Me - Morton Grove, Illinois

And I find it odd that after 1 year, Jennifer from Windy City posts a comment that they sent someone out to clean the stump grindings. They did not. I paid my landscaper $150.00 to do it and to remove the smaller roots that were left behind shortly after the tree was taken down. I'm sorry, Windy City, but you have either mistaken me for another customer or are just completely wrong. My review just dropped a star. To future customers-make sure you get EVERYTHING you expect Windy City to do in writing. One should not have to request that a crew come back to clean up. It is in the contract and expected. And a comment should not be posted to a customer review 14 months after the service has been performed. read more

I just had a large tree in backyard\alley tangled with electrical wires and was considered hazards. I hired Windy City tree service for all my tree removal needs and once again they performed an outstanding job. They coordinated everything with ComEd to shutoff power to removing tree and debris plus going above and beyond to remove the trunk. Jennifer and her husband Alcides take customer service serious and make sure you are happy with the job!! Highly recommend to hire with reasonable prices! read more

Company came highly recommended. Had an appointment for Wednesday between 12 and 1 with Jennifer. 1:30 I called to find out if she was still coming. Was told I'd get a call back. 3:30 I called again received voice mail. Left a message, never heard from anyone. So this Company is not recommended by me. read more

We moved into a new home and decided to do some landscaping in the front of the house on a Saturday, which included removing 2 shrubs. The first was "easy" enough. The second had roots that seemed to go on forever and we simply couldn't get beneath them. We called no less than 10 different tree removal companies and almost all said they had no same-day availability (we were concerned about leaving the safety of leaving the dug-out hole). Jennifer and Windy City Tree Service were one of only 2 who said they could squeeze us in. I sent some pictures of the stump/root issue and they were able to provide a firm quote that was almost 50% less expensive than the other company with same-day availability. They arrived on time. Unloaded their root shredder and within 10 mins had completely gotten rid of the roots. They also hauled away the branches/roots of the other shrub. They then cleaned the area and shoveled the dirt back in to cover the hole. All-in maybe 20 mins. Will be hiring them again in the spring to remove some other shrubs. Highly recommend! read more

Windy City Tree Service - Shrub stump with roots for days - Tree Services Near Me - Morton Grove, Illinois

I just had my very large maple tree trimmed by Windy City Tree Service. Securing a detailed estimate and appointment time was very easy, and they were super flexible in making some adjustments. The work is outstanding, my tree looks great and they cleaned up everything. Cannot recommend strongly enough. Price was on lower end and quality of work exceptional. read more

This company is untrustworthy and unprofessional. They missed our initial appointment without notice and then showed up unannounced on a Sunday while family was visiting. We took time out of that visit to show them around the property. Jennifer provided us with a quote which we accepted. Once she learned that her bid was the lowest, she indicated they could not move forward with the contract and asked to come out again to provide a re-quote so they could charge closer to what the other company had quoted. Avoid at all costs. And if you decide to go with them, do not answer any questions about what other companies have quoted you. read more

7 reasons NOT to use Windy City. I had them prune a large tree. 1. Reached out for an estimate, they didn't respond, then Al randomly showed up without prior notice (when I had guests over) After scheduling they rescheduled 2 times. On the date of service showed up 2 hours late without email/text/call. 2. Was rushing to trim, dropping large pieces down without using a rope - one fell and ripped brand new screen on my porch - His reaction was that "it's not a big deal, I can easily patch it" which he didn't do anyway. After my husband talked to them, they started to lower branches using a rope. 3. Guys on the ground were carelessly stepping all over my flower bed and smashed hostas. 4. Moved large heavy planters and told me I have to have my husband move it back (which we had to both do ourselves) when he had 3 guys who could've moved them back. 5. Cleanup was not clean - there was debris on the street, my driveway, backyard and neighbors side - they cleaned up large pieces and left. 6. Poor customer service: Never even offered an apology or discount out of curtesy for damaging the property. Andrea, scheduling person had an attitude when I was trying to confirm scheduling so I could arrange my work schedule accordingly. 7. CODVID - 1 of 3 guys wearing a mask UNDER his nose. Didn't wear a mask when providing estimate or during service when approaching me. read more

My husband and I are thrilled with the job these guys have done these last couple of days. Thank you Al, Cano, Fernando and Rigorberto!! We had 2 trees that were cut down and 2 very large trees (Locust and Maple) that needed some large limbs to be cut that were hanging over the house. They also cut off all the dead branches on both of the trees. They were fast, efficient and worked hard. They cleaned up very nicely after they left. Thank you again for coming out so quickly after we approved the quote. Very fair and competitive pricing. We will use them again without a doubt! read more

In November 2020 Windy City Tree Service came out to give four of our oak trees a major thinning out of their trunks and branches. Two major trunks from two separate trees were threatening our neighbors roof. Windy Tree Service performed very professionally. They arrived on time did the job as promised and cleaned up not only my yard, but the neighbors yard afterwards and in great detail. Removed all debris and were very careful of the gardens that were planted nearby. My wife and I have called on the again for removal of overgrown bushes and to replace them. I have much confidence in Windy City Tree Service to handle all major tree removal and trimming and look forward to removing the over growth surrounding our home. read more

This wasn't the first company we called but definitely happy we kept looking after the first one didn't work out! The prices seemed fair considering all the work they put into it. It took two days in total to completely finish with the tree removal but because of how old and HUGE this tree was, it makes sense. The group of men that came were all very friendly- worked quickly and so professionally! They even cut up some tree trunks into smaller pieces so we can keep for some projects and fire pits! The clean up was amazing- no debris was left behind- almost no sign they were there except the missing tree of course! They even added wood chips/ mulch to the front of our yard for us. We also had them trim up our front yard bushes and they were very neatly done! We hope to use them in the future for other yard work that we may need in the future. read more

Wasted my time. Extremely unprofessional!! I call them almost a week ago and asked if they service my area, they said yes and they would have someone go out and look at the tree and stomp that I wanted removed to give me an estimate on Monday. I called on a Friday. Monday came and the young lady called said she couldn't do make it by Monday and could she reschedule for Tuesday. I told her no problem. It's Wednesday and I hadn't heard from them so I called the office. A few hours later they call me back to say she doesn't want to go in that area. They are a negative -100. read more

I gave them a star because they used to do good work, but this most recent time they never called after they requested that I text them the info, and after I called them back and set up an appointment, they never showed and said they forgot, then blamed the President because their workers ran away or are being deported. First of all, don't hire illegal aliens. Second, don't tell others you do. I'm not giving these criminals another dollar. Pretty bad business, especially with a repeat customer. read more

They totally butchered my trees in the backyard. Instead of trimming they did a wholesale chopping. I asked for the branches to be cut 10 to 12 feet above the ground and instead they hacked full limbs. To make things worse, they notified me when they would be out and then they show up a different day unannounced. I certainly would have been home and could have stopped them. Instead they just merrily went along chopping away. I would never recommend Windy City for any tree trimming. read more

Windy City Tree Service was great. They provided some general pruning services around my yard, climbed to the top of my 40+ foot Sycamore tree and cut back all of the branches that were dangerously over hanging the house, cut down a dying tree and replanted a beautiful dogwood in its place. The crew was on time, skilled, professional and cleaned the yard and street as if they were never there. The office staff was very responsive in getting quotes, scheduling, follow-up and providing addition information. I can not say enough good things about this company. If you need tree service, give Windy City a call. read more

Very happy with the service. Work went as discussed, wood was stacked, covered and ready for the fireplace. No mess left behind. And the quote for the work was quite reasonable. Highly recommended! read more

These people are hard to get ahold of and not very communicative. I almost gave them a one-star review because they weren't getting back to me. But they finally did and did and amazing job for a good price. Hey what can I say, their business is cutting down trees and they do it well. read more

Great service and prices are very good as well! Had 1 big tree removed and several smaller trees. Communication with scheduling a quote and service itself was very easy read more

The whole process from start to finish was easy and perfect! They came out and gave us our quote quickly and we were able to set up the appointment for the next week. The guys were all great and I am amazed by their talent, respect and wonderful work! We cannot say enough good things about this company! As new homeowners we were nervous about having a tree removed and finding the right company. I will refer anyone and everyone to them! Thanks for the AMAZING work you guys did! read more

Loved the work Windy City did for me at all levels. The price was so reasonable and fair, the crew was very quick, friendly, and very very clean. They cleaned up everything after them and left the place as clean as before cutting the tree. I will definitely hire them again for any tree cutting/trimming or landscaping design work. They were amazing, seriously! You won't regret it. read more

Saw the wind/snow had cracked a branch on my dying Yoshino cherry tree while taking out trash this AM. Called two friends to see if they would help me remove the branch but they were already busy. I usually take down my own trees but I didn't want to try it alone-Safety is #1. I called these folks, Jenn came out, gave me a fair price. The tree was gone, the stump was ground and the area was cleaned within the next 3 hours. Great job on December 28th, 2016. read more
