Nour devoted a lot of time before we got started in order to work out of the details because there were many moving parts. This project has 466 sf of decking with a 24' x 12' covered main living area. From the first day of demo I knew we had the right guy. Nour and his crew were on time and dug right in by removing our old deck and busted up the old patio. Whenever we ran into any issues Nour would come up with solutions, and this made the whole process easier. Once the substantial concrete footings and patio were poured the structure was completed in just days. This is when I knew for a fact, I had hired the right person! I have been around construction my entire life and I know the money is in the details. However, if the structure is not built soundly then you just forget about the details, so with that said I can tell you that this foundation and structure are build right! Of course, the details on this project are simply outstanding. The dark stained rough cut 2" x 8" red cedar decking & railing, the pine T&G cover, the Shou Sugi Ban ridge/rafters/kings/struts are set against the off-white siding/beans/posts really works well together. I have to say that Nour's work ethic and his desire to make your project special to you shows in the final product. The best thing that I can say about Nour is I have already discussed several other projects that I want to hire him for in the coming years. I look forward to our next collaboration.

I first met Jacob when he came to my property out of genuine curiosity after hearing about a water…read moreintrusion issue I was struggling with. He did not have the capacity to work on my project but he came to support the completion of a difficult time. I moved into my home in February 2021--during a snowstorm--and by March, we noticed rainwater entering the house. Over the next several months, I spoke with more than two dozen contractors, most of whom had no clear idea how to fix the issue. Eventually, we hired a contractor who replaced the siding, but unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem either. That's when a friend recommended I call Jacob. From the moment he arrived, Jacob listened with patience. He took the time to hear all the details--my concerns, what other contractors had said, and he carefully reviewed all the photos I had taken. He didn't do any physical work on the project himself, but what he did do was shift the entire direction of the process. He coached me on how to speak with contractors, shared terminology I should use, and--most importantly--he told me I was likely looking for the wrong kind of specialist. Though water was coming through the siding, Jacob suggested the issue was probably with the roof, specifically the "cricket." Following Jacob's advice completely changed how contractors treated the situation. I started getting better responses and more respect. And he was right--it was the cricket. Once that was addressed, the problem was finally resolved. Since then, I've called Jacob again for advice on another project, and once again, he offered clarity and insight that helped tremendously. We tore out a really outdated stair railing with the thought of replacing it at some point with…read moresomething more modern. Fast forward almost 5 years and still no railing was installed. Now we want to sell our house and found that we needed to install something so that we could pass inspection. We looked at several options and could not wrap our heads around building something ourselves - we are definitely not contractors and not very successful do-it-yourselfers. I called and put feelers out for several contractors with no real bites. Thankfully, Randy reached out to us and offered to send Stephen out to give us a quote. Stephen came out and took a look at what we did and was so great - he didn't laugh at our handiwork. He promised us a quote by the following day and told us that he could build and install something within the same week. We received our quote and signed the paperwork... it was that easy. Stephen and his helper came out and built us the most beautiful stair railing. WThey were so friendly and unbelievably fast. Stephen removed my old deck in one day and then went to work on creating my new one. It is 25' X…read more20', so we're talking big deck. It is free-standing off my yard. The wood is cedar and we decided to use cables to keep the view open. There is no table up yet, as we are still social distancing, but it's so nice to be on a beautiful new deck. We have had the pleasure of working with Maxwell and Green Light on two separate projects…read more In 2023 we did a full bathroom remodel with Green Light Construction, and we loved working with Maxwell and the whole team. Maxwell works with excellent tile installers and cabinet makers, and we are thrilled with the end result. Our bathroom not only looks fantastic, but Maxwell was very thorough in making sure all the quirks that had gone into prior renovations of our 1909 home were fixed, and we feel so much better about the quality of our home than we did prior to construction. Maxwell was consistently excellent at communication, and was calm and kind with all of our questions and minor changes that came up on our end during the process. Everything came in on-budget and on-time, with no surprises. We wish we had more renovation needs, because we would love to work with Greenlight again. In July 2025, we had Maxwell and his team back to build an exterior deck/set of stairs, move a dryer vent, and build a wisteria trellis. Maxwell was very responsive, as usual, and was able to fit us into his schedule. The crew cleaned up thoroughly everday and minimized any disruption to our yard. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process, and everything was completed just as we wanted it, at a fair price.

The installation team, Aaron & Mike, were top-notch: they showed up on time, were great guys to be with, and best of all are really master woodworkers. The painting team, led by John, were amazing with the quality of caulking and painting being second to none (to my surprise the cabinets were installed as bare wood, and then caulked, finished and painted in place; however, the taping, masking, screening, etc. for over-spray were excellent with zero problems). And at the end of each day, Peter would send an email with photos of the work-in-process, outlining the day's accomplishments and work schedule for the next day. Zach was very approachable and responded to all concerns that I had, and he discovered what had caused the leak in the window and repaired it. It turned out to be a bigger project as it turns out the wood had water damage, but he replaced and repaired what needed. Zach's pricing was very fair and reasonable and he made sure to explain everything he was doing which took away my anxiety about the whole thing. What I appreciated most was Zach's work ethic. He had a positive attitude during the project, showed up and put his work in each day, and I could really tell he genuinely cares about the project he was working on.
