We heard this place was good so we thought we'd give it a try. First impression was excellent! Nice looking restaurant with great ambiance. Outside seating as well, that's a plus. We were met with a warm greeting by very personable staff the moment we walked in the door. Their selection of sandwiches is very cool. I'm a huge fan of pastrami so I went with that. This is how it should be. Plenty of pastrami with swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. As a bonus, there's grilled onions as well, all on toasted marble rye. Yum! My wife had the Dude Ranch. She loved it. I may have snuck a bite of that as well. So good! We also got a Hail Ceasar wrap. It was fantastic! I wouldn't call myself a sandwich connoisseur BUT I know quality food when I have it and this is top notch. First off, before I even get to the food let me just say that the man at the register was super nice and extremely helpful. I want to say he was the owner but I'm not sure. There's also wine, beer and a few sodas in a fridge and some chips near the counter. There's indoor and outdoor seating and puppers are allowed out there. As for the food, I went with 3 other people so I got to try a few different sandwiches and everything was delicious. The Oklahoma Sunset is a must! Everything meshes so well together. Kitten Mittens is another good one as well as Ruben and The Jets, and Needs More Butter which is a special and although messy, it was good! We also tried the mac salad and I'm picky when it comes to my mac salad but this one passed the test. Overall, it's a very chill spot with delicious food that you have to try! read more

What a great place! We've had our eye on this for a while now since we kept walking by it but since they close at 8pm, it was hard for us to try it for weeknight dinner. Anywayzzzzz came for Saturday lunch and really enjoyed our experience here! We tried the Italian sub, which was absolutely delicious! Delicious sandwiches!! Went for the first time today and tried the Easy Caprese. I was skeptical because it came with provolone instead of mozzarella, but there was no need for the skepticism. I'm coming back here as soon as I can. I came here on the tail end of a bar hopping trip- a very disappointing one where most of the beers I had were underwhelming. But Windsor Brown's saved the day. The drinks were so good ("Feathers, Bone Chimes, and Eternal Rest" was especially sweet and tasty). And I would go here for the food alone. I loved my caesar salad and pasta salad, so I've got to try a sandwich next time. Finally, our wonderful bartender was Greg Brown, the co-owner of Windsor Brown's. The other co-owner is Windsor, of course! This is their only location, and they'll be celebrating their 2nd anniversary in September. I was excited to try this place but ended up disappointed in the food quality and ambiance. Half of the menu seemed to be out of stock for starters. I ordered the caprese sandwich that felt overly saturated with very sour balsamic and threw most of it away. My boyfriend ordered the Oklahoma sunset which was good but nothing I would come back for. We also tried the macaroni and potato salad which was loaded with mayo and pretty much inedible. There is a decent variety of wines, beer and barleywine which is unique, however they are all weighed when being poured which seems a little stingy and annoying. There was around a shot left in the bottle of wine after weighing out my 1/2 glass, felt the bartender could have just poured the rest into my glass. I found this spot on Yelp, and I'm mad at myself for just now discovering Windsor Brown's despite how close it is. Better late than never though. My husband and I have now been 5 times since we discovered it 2 months ago, and we've tried a different sandwich every time, because they are ALL great. That said, my personal favorites so far are the "not quite basic" and "ruben and the jets." Their pasta and macaroni salads are both very good too; we always get one or the other with our sandwiches. The owner is very friendly, and he and his team do a great job with both food prep and service. The craft beer selection is great, and their outdoor patio is very nice this time of year. We picked up lunch from here today right after they opened at 11. We were planning on taking our sandwiches to a brewery and eating there, and we had our puppy with us, so I sat on a bench on the sidewalk out front while my husband ordered our food. I had the Not Quite Basic, which is ham, swiss, brie, tomatoes, and dill pickles on ciabatta bread. Rarely do I see sandwiches with brie on them, so I was excited! It was really good, but I was expecting a panini since it was on the "From The Press" section of the menu. It was not a panini, and the ciabatta was very thick and hard, the sandwich was so fat I could barely take bites from it. I wasn't mad at it though, I would get it again, just ask for different bread. We will definitely come back.
