This cute little restaurant is part of Genetti Hotel. Great service by our server Zion. He's a total sweetheart. The bar food is decent, but I didn't venture into the fancier menu items so no comments there. The French onion soup was very tasty but too salty. My Lycoming sandwich (which is equivalent to a cheese steak) fell apart but was still enjoyable. My old fashion drink tasted weird. My favorite meal was breakfast, which is complimentary for all hotel guests. read more

The establishment was quaint and part of the hotel, but also had outside patronage. It's a nice pub with bar style food. The decorations are nice and you can eat indoors or outdoors weather permitting. The fish and chips gets a 6.5/10. Nothing to rave about, but still a solid and decent option. My friend and I tried out the new restaurant that is located within the Genetti. The interior was nicely redesigned to a more upscale restaurant than the previous bar that held residency there. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing. The menu is based off Italian dishes. They had a variety of different chicken dishes, a strip steak dish and some seafood. For the appetiser, We ordered the bruschetta. The dish was very rustic and was delicious. It has two fresh balls of mozzarella along with roasted peppers, tomatoes, pickled red onions and balsamic glaze on top of Rustic Crustini. For dinner my friend ordered the Italian Pot Pie, and I had the traditional chicken parmigiana. The chicken parmigiana came with a side of Angel Hair pasta and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was good. The dressing may need a little more seasoning like salt. The parmigiana was not what I expected. The sauce seemed to have a strong taste of garlic and roasted red pepper along with a bitter burnt taste from being under the broiler. The cheese topping was laid over a topping a ricotta cheese. The angel hair pasta has the same sauce that the chicken was laid upon. The Italian Pot pie my friend had was shredded chicken mixed in a cream sauce with gnocchi mixed in. And laid on top was a puffed pastry roll. It did not look like a traditional pot pie. The seasoning was bland with no flavor at at. Here is where the three stars come in. The servers was extremely nice the entire time. When we had to regretfully complain about our food the manager was very gracious and took care of the meal. We paid for our drinks and the appetiser. We properly tipped the waitress based off her service to what we would of if we had to pay the full bill. The restaurant has only been open for a week. I would be happy to try the restaurant again in the future. It takes time to tweet recipes and the menus. read more

I've always stayed at the Genetti when working in the area, this time when I returned, the bar/restaurant had been remodeled. Guess they were going for the up scale. They should have taken a look at the majority of the guest that stay there, blue collar workers. The bar/restaurant now has a "maitre d", and if you're still in your work clothes, you receive a dirty look. Good luck Genetti, the changes you have made look good, but was it worth it?? read more

I ordered the steak Diane and it was burnt and the sauce was horrible. I didn't eat it and the asked me if I wanted something else. I ordered a burger which was better but not very good either. Went to pay the bill and they charged me for both meals and said there was nothing they could do. Also service was very slow. It took about an hour to get my original meal read more

Despite the mediocre reviews, I decided to give the Genetti's restaurant a try after an exhausting day. it was a lot better than the previous 2-star average would indicate. I went with the cassoulet poulet, with the orange cognac salad, and a couple drinks. The salad arrived first, and was quite good. While the orange and cognac flavor in the dressing was noticeable, it wasn't the dominant flavor in the salad. This isn't a bad thing; the dried cranberries and walnut were the stars, and the salad greens were high quality, with the gorgonzola also noticeable. In summary, it's exactly the type of salad I'd hoped it would be based on the description. The cassoulet poulet was a dish I'd never had before. It was moderately flavorful (do French dishes ever really overwhelm you with flavor?), and served in a pot pie style, rather than a casserole dish. Still, it hit the spot after a long day outdoors, and the red skin potatoes were also well prepared. The green beans on the side were slightly tough, but, well, they're green beans; the carrots were softer but not mushy. The drink menu contains a decent selection of both craft and domestic beer; the Lancaster Baked Pumpkin Ale was the one I preferred of the two I tried. They also have the materials to make a wide variety of mixed drinks. I can't comment on the wine selection, but the focus did seem to be on beer and cocktails, so Robert K. may be right about the wine selection not being great. Service was decent; I got the impression they could use one more bartender at peak hours, and perhaps unsurprisingly given it is a hotel restaurant, the bar was relatively more busy than the tables. I believe one of the bartenders was fairly new, and still getting the hang of things. I only got the pub fare menu at first (ask for the entree one if you're very hungry), and one guest got another guest's sandwich at first, for example. But everyone wound up getting what they wanted, even if not as quickly as had there been one more bartender with all of them experienced. My guess is that as time goes on, service will continue to improve; this is still a pretty new location after all. So it's definitely a decent option if you're staying at the Genetti, or another place nearby. The best option around? Probably not; the Brickyard impressed me the night before. But especially if you're traveling solo and tired after a long day, don't hesitate to try the most local option. read more

We went out after my friends graduation and wanted to get some appetizers and drinks. It was the worse service any of us ever had, our waitress was smoking a cigarette right near us while we were waiting to order our drinks. We would order drinks and not see them for 25-30 minutes until we went to the bar to get them ourselves, as were the others around us. All our empty cups were on the table. The chicken tenders were so dry you could barely chew it. The food we got was not good. Our bills were all messed up and after telling our waitress over 3 times we finally just paid what was on our check, even though it was still incorrect. Would not recommend, we will not be going again. read more

Had a very nice dinner. Emily, our server was excellent! Kind of a limited menu but everything was very good. Delicious spinach artichoke dip and amazing mashed potatoes. They have a parking lot, easy access for mobility challenged the dining room is very nicely decorated. read more
