One of the other companies was very pushy about fiberglass windows even after I explained my budget and that I may eventually use this property as a rental in a few years. The approach felt more like selling a specific product than helping me choose what actually made sense for my situation. With another company, the consultation was done over a Zoom meeting. I actually initially thought I would go with them because I really liked the rep I was speaking with and their pricing seemed reasonable. However, I didn't get to see the windows in person, so when I later met with Shawn from Window World and experienced the full in-home demo with actual samples, that made a big difference in helping me feel confident in my decision. I'm looking to replace a patio door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached out for an estimate using their online inquiry. I had to follow up a couple of times before I was given an appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed appointment reminders and the email showing the picture of the rep that will go to your house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The rep arrived on time and joked that he had really smelly feet. In my opinion, he smelled heavily of alcohol. For the most part he was friendly but his demeanor quickly changed when I asked questions. I asked with a sliding door with panels to match my other sliding door. My request was simple. I made a comment about how chewing the door handle changed the price by $500. My rep rudely said, "Like I already told you, it's not just the handle, it's a different door." He became more frustrated when I asked to see what a standard handle looked like. He said he didn't have the proper brochures. My final straw was when I asked for the price of the second door he quoted me. (Keep in mind, he only quoted me for two doors...one with a standard handle and one with an upgraded handle, both doors were over 3k). I question him when he gave me a price around $3,100, asking him to verify this was the second door quoted since I remember a $500 difference. The rep said I was confusing him, he didn't know what I wanted and that he'd wait for me to be specific. He said this as he closed the windows on his computer and put his head down like a pouting toddler. I thanked him for his time and ushered him out. As soon as he left, my husband asked if I had been drinking because the house smells. I told him it was the rep. We opened some windows to get rid of the stench. A few moments later, the rep knocked on the door and said he forgot to take pictures. My husband did not let him back in as I had already expressed my discomfort. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The quote seemed competitive so I rescheduled out to the company and asked if this rep would ever need to return to my home. I briefly described the situation and a manager said he'd reach out to me that day. He didn't.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached back out a couple days later to ask again if the rep would need to come back. The manager did call me and said he would personally come to my home. The manager spent the bulk of the phone call saying he didn't know the rep personally but that rep is popular, the appointments before and after me purchased and that it was probably a mismatch. The manager must have told me this three or four times and said I was probably smelling an energy drink the rep enjoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't know what it was, it smelled like alcohol to myself and my husband. Could it have been his feet? Seems unlikely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I didn't appreciate how much energy the manager put into telling me my experience didn't exist and that no one else had complained about this person. I already had pricing and now I had another disappointing interaction. Had the manager simply received my concern and moved on, I would have purchased with this company. This review is long overdue. A couple years back I contacted Window World to get a quote. They had a deal running for $2700 and I said I was interested in that deal. Took a while to get someone out and the individual who came out was late (it's been a while so I'm blanking on the name). After everything was said and done I received a quote for more than double the price. When I called the person who quoted me he didn't answer, but instead chose to communicate via email. He gave me the run around and wasn't very clear why the price I received was so much higher than their deal. I was frustrated and left a bad Yelp review. I was almost immediately contacted by a regional manager. He wanted to make it right (so that I would remove my bad review). He explained that despite me telling their sales rep repeatedly I wanted the deal they had on their website the guy had quoted me different windows. He said he could give me the windows from the deal, but since the windows weren't white it would be an additional $2,000. It was just the typical bronze/brown color most window manufacturers have as a standard option that didn't cost anymore, but somehow this nearly doubled the cost. I really wanted to just get it done so I took the updated quote, signed it, and returned it. I also removed my negative review. After that I attempted time and time again to contact them to get the prices started and they just ghosted me. Never a single response. 2+ years later and I still have my old windows. Just heard an ad for them on XM radio and reminded me I needed to restore my negative review. Some people seem to be happy enough with them. I work in construction and can tell you these guys are unreliable and dishonest. The only time they ever seemed reasonable was when trying to get me to remove my bad review. Please to any Window World employee: I'm not going to remove this review. I'm buying a new house and no longer intend to replace my windows so there is nothing you can do to make it right at this point. Please don't contact me. read more

I had panoramic doors installed by Window World of Orange County a few years ago. The quality of the hardware is so cheap that it breaks often. I was surprised that such as heavy door hinges on a plastic piece. We are very careful when opening/closing the door because I can feel the flimsiness when I open/close it. Other than the broken hinges, the trimming/frame of the door was made of vinyl and it does not hold up to the California sun for very long before it deformed. Although Window World promised life-time warranty, in reality service requests often take months and numerous phone follow-ups to get a response. I'm not happy with the company or the products. read more

I reached out to Window World to replace our back windows in the den. Everything was going great and I had no issues with waiting the additional time. We were quoted 2-3 months of lead time by our sales rep, Shawn Smith, it took a little over 4. Not a big deal. During our wait, the sales rep measured the windows and someone else came out to remeasure to ensure accuracy. Once the install date came, that's when everything went south. Three of the five windows ordered were way too small for the frames. They measured to the frame of the old windows instead of measuring to the walls. I've been living with three smaller windows for about a month and a half. I've spoken to multiple people in customer service, but I am always given Eli's name. I've spoken to Eli twice and now there is no response from him. I've contacted his direct number and left messages multiple times with no call back. Eli called back once and asked if we cut the windows to widen them prior to install. Why would I cut my own windows? The installers removed the old windows (in tact) and installed the new windows. They need to accept the fact that they measured incorrectly. On the two windows that were measured correctly, the installers cut the bottom half of the outside frame as opposed to cutting the bottom half of the window sill as instructed. This has been a horrible experience all around and I cannot seem to have anyone take ownership of this situation. I've been living with three windows that are smaller than they should be and it looks like I'll be footed with the bill to fix the window sills as well. I will be contacting lawyers and my credit card company to review my options Update to Amber's response: I did not remove any interior jamb or casing at all. There was nothing done to the windows prior to installation with the exception of removing the metal bars on the outside as instructed. The windows are not sitting on an aluminum frame as you can clearly see. The wall is/was wood paneling and we purposely did not touch the windows in order to ensure accuracy. As far as the cut windows, your installers offered to cut the sill in order to have all exterior windows aligned. Window World needs to take responsibility of incorrectly measuring as opposed to putting it on the customer. read more

The day after I posted my original review, I got a call from Anthony Adams. Maybe my review was the reason for the call, but I also I looked up the owner's names and made some guesses as to what their email addresses were and fired off a few emails in their direction. Whatever the case, I finally got a call. Mr. Adams told me he had no idea I needed replacement parts and blamed the original installer (Mario) for not telling him. I questioned that accusation and told him I'd been in touch with Mario several times, that Mario assured me he told Mr. Adams, and that Mario had been trying to help me get in touch with other managers (Salvador) at Window World. Awkward. Someone was lying. Either the very helpful installer is a liar or the guy who had been ignoring my calls and emails is a liar. At this point, it's all moot as the replacement sash and screen were installed today (September 6, 2022). I didn't get the names of the guys that came out but they were cordial and finished quickly. I'm glad this ordeal is finally over. I'll update my review from 1-star to 2-stars. If you choose to order windows from WWOC, I wish you luck. read more

We needed a small window for a guest bathroom. It was an odd size we couldn't find at any of the big home improvement stores but Window World was able to make a custom sized window for us that is perfect for the space. They came by and not only did the measurements but also guided us towards the right size and style of window. The installers came on time and worked proficiently. Back in July my brother and I went into Window World (accidentally, we were supposedly going to a place my neighbor was sending us - didn't know where he went lol) to get an idea on how much it would cost my mom to have 4 windows replaced. We met with Shawn and went over the options and he was kind enough to walk us through all the details of what would happen after we decided (talked our mom into taking a much needed and overdue plunge) if we were going to have them replace them. Three living room and a kitchen window were on the menu and we were going to do whatever hard selling to mom that needed doing. It worked after much sweating and threats of la chancla to back of the head negotiations. (Kidding our mom isn't that bad). Shawn and his final measurement guy both came out and took care of the ordering. The only problem we had was the time from ordering and signing to installation, but that wasn't Window World's fault. Most mills are backlogged like crazy after Covid and the FJB Parade of supply chain issues due to "Putin's War," "The Evil Maga crowd," "unicorn farts," and whatever other excuse seems to be on the menu for our current admin these days. Regardless, as soon as the mill was able to deliver our windows to them, Nicole messaged me with our tentative install week. Shawn set up the exact day and we were in business. Today was that day! Eli called me Monday, but I was on the roof sunbathing - okay, I was painting eaves & fascia. I missed his call, but was able to reach him yesterday and got my scheduled time for install verified. Cool guy!! Liked my Darth Vader caller ID. Lol. Today Art and Ariel showed up on time, both were very professional, friendly and got the job done. They are an asset to the company! I went inside to look (tried to stay out of their way), I was almost in tears to see what a simple thing as new windows for my mom made such a HUGE difference to those two rooms. I am waiting as I write this for her to get home so she can see them herself. I am sure she will be in love. Thank you so much all of you at Window World-Orange County for such a great job!
