I am currently under contract with Window Works for a door that was to be installed in my condo. I signed a contract and put down a deposit four months ago. There is no door. The contract said the door would be available in 4-8 weeks. It has been 11 weeks, and on two separate occasions I have taken off work because the installation was scheduled, only to have the installation cancelled at the last minute (first because the installation crew showed up asking for two adjacent parking spaces -- not a realistic expectation on a Chicago street, and not something that came up in the contract or at any other time -- and the second time, for literally no reason). The salesman talked a big game about how they do not use subcontractors and how all their installers are part of their company. When the installation team showed up on the first occasion, they told me that they were subcontractors and that they had no responsibility for preparing for this situation. I now have no way to get back in touch with this salesman -- the number on his business card goes back to WindowWorks central, which refuses to put me in touch with him.a The third attempt was scheduled for tomorrow. I called them today to confirm, and was told that this installation is being cancelled due to weather. Note that they did not call me with this information -- they would have had me take a third day off of work to stay home and wait for an installation that they knew was not forthcoming. They are saying that weather is unpredictable, but that they cannot install if it is below freezing -- below freezing weather in Chicago in January is something that most people would feel confident predicting! They are refusing to allow me to cancel the project despite the fact that they have not even come close to fulfilling their end of the deal. Their customer service refuses to answer my questions. From the initial visit with the sales representative we were impressed. The product is quite good but the really impressive aspect was how well we were taken care of by the concierge Michele Ortega. When we had an issue with the building permit Michele exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were dealt with in a remarkably good manner. I am currently under contract with Window Works and wanted to share my severely disappointing experience with the company. I was met first by a sales representative who was very personable and knowledgeable about windows. After careful review of a few different offers, my wife and I chose to go with Window Works. This was due to 3 factors: warranty, factory fusion welding, and trim around the window itself. Our install date was set for the morning of August 7, 2017. On August 7, two installers came to our home to replace our current window with the ones Window Works custom manufactured for us. Unbeknownst to us, the person in charge of doing the measurements were off by 10.5 inches. This is a large discrepancy. We were lucky enough that the installers didn't start to remove the old window first. The installer quickly got a hold of their manager and I had to wait over 15 minutes, plus 2 phone calls by the installer, for me to talk to the manager, I still don't know why it wasn't immediate. It was while waiting that I noticed the windows were not fusion welded in the factory as per the original agreement. Rather, they were going to clamp them together onsite. This was not what we signed our contract for. This is a major issue, as the service we paid for promised something different. After talking with a manager for the company, she told me that she would get back to me by August 8, 5pm about restitution and compensation for the lack of professionalism and the lack of ability to provide the agreed upon services. I received a call at 3:15pm from the manager on an update of the situation. She explained that the windows were on a rush order to be manufactured, and a date of roughly August 16 was set for the completion, with installation to be as early as August 18. I proceeded in asking why was it rushed, as I was under the impression that the conversation would entail ETAs and compensation for not honoring our contract. That is when she claimed I had authorized the order...which I did not. She informed me that despite their negligence, there would be no compensation for time loss and for their admitted mistakes in measuring and manufacturing. After several moments of conversation, she eventually offered a $50.00 dining gift card for our troubles, but nothing for the windows. At this point I was done with the company all together. I wanted out of our contract, all money back, and to go with a different company completely. Her offer of a dining gift card was akin to a bribe, and not the level of professional behavior I want for a serious, big dollar window installation. My wife then suggested that the manager contact someone who could give us a monetary compensation for the windows themselves, and requested a follow-up by the next morning. At this point, I had expressed my displeasure with Window Works through social media and by contacting my salesman via text. Within an hour of this, the manager's manager, contact me. She expressed that she was the only one that could compensate us for the expressed troubles, even though they claimed up to 1%, she offered $200.00 for our troubles. Our total cost for the windows were $2,724.00, now adjusted to $2,524.00. It was also at this time that we noticed that some of our posts which were critical of Window Works poor business ethics on different social media sites were deleted and censored by the company. I am understanding that mistakes can be made, but to have two mistakes and poor customer service goes beyond small errors. I am very displeased with this entire situation and if we did not have a contract with them, I would have gone through someone else. $200.00 does not take back our missed day of install, the grief, stress, and toll it took on our lives. I do not know how they have an A+ BBB rating. If I knew that they would handle the situation as they did beforehand, I would have bought somewhere else. Based on their poor performance, lack of proper customer service, and disrespect, I would highly suggest not using this vendor for any reason. I should have looked at all the negative posts before having this company come to my house for an estimate. What a huge joke this place is. My experience was primarily with a salesman named Steve. No idea of last name as he never told us and didn't leave a business card. Super unprofessional, time wasters, and refusal to respond to customers or to follow up. First, we were told to prepare for an approximate 60-90 minute meeting. The sales guy was at our house well over two hours and that was with him saying he's skipping over some of the materials. What a giant waste of time. Next what the bizarre pricing/sales process... He wanted us to make a deal that day and told us we could get a "special price" if we order that day. We had no intention of making a snap decision especially with a company trying to force a decision within a couple hours. It is extremely off putting for a company to hold their pricing hostage unless you move forward immediately. The most disgusting part was the complete last of follow through by the salesman after wasting that much of my time. Steve told us he would email us the pricing in a couple days (which we never received). However, we received a phone call from someone else saying that they just noticed we could get lower pricing but we would need to have them come out for another meeting... I did not agree so the guy never gave me the pricing and said he would call me the following day but never did. How does this company stay in business...seriously!!! Who would buy from such smarmy and pushy people who don't follow up on ANY SINGLE THING. I even called the main number to ask for the salesman or the quote or anything. The rude receptionist sort of chuckled a little and said "yea, I'll have Stevie send that out." And then hung up on me. Run like hell if these folks call you!!! read more

My wife and I had a salesman come out who seemed very nice and knowledgable. We needed 4 windows in our kitchen. Well, he screwed everything up but I will say that Window Works did fix the issue. It did take 4 separate occasions of installs to finally get it right but I guess they did do it eventually. First mistake the salesman made was he forgot to make an addendum to the contract to have colonial style beveled grids in the window. The rest of the house has them on every window so we wanted them to all match. He came out a second time when we decided to make that change. It was only a few days after the initial contract by the way. He took notice of the style of grids the rest of the house had and said he would make the change to the contract. Well, windows come and guess what. No grids. And also our big picture window in the kitchen had a decent size but very noticeable depression in the seal at the bottom of the window (the rubber type material that is around the whole window.) They came out to try and fix the picture window but forgot to bring the new grids for the rest of the windows. The picture window we actually had no grids so the installer was gonna try and get the glass out and replace the seal but he decided not to because he didn't think he could pull it out safely. So, another appointment is scheduled to fix the picture window again. Customer service said that they would also bring the windows with grids on the same date. That day comes and they actually had the correct grids in the window this time and they fixed the seal on the big picture window. Finally. What a pain in the but. All because of the salesman not doing his job. I will say that we are happy with the windows so far but I do not think we will deal with this company again. Very very poor communication from the salesman. I do put some blame on customer service as well. They should of went through everything with me after the first mistake to make sure exactly what we were getting. We left it up to the salesman to say he would put the order in to match everything up and we relied on him. Big mistake that was. We should of educated ourselves also. Wont be dealing with window works again. Its a shame to because we actually need two new doors, new gutters, new flashing around all the other windows. read more

If I could I would give this company a zero out of five. I am so furious I could cry. Please please do not go with this company. My review is long but please read it. It will save u from a mistake I did by going with them. Please read until the end. First We turned down a another company that quoted us 1500 less only and only because the sales rep said that warranty includes unlimited breakages and that includes breakages from kids hitting a ball. My son was playing basket ball in our yard and kept accidentally hitting the window and that's when he mentioned how the companies warranty will come in use if he broke one. And how they will come and replace for free. He gave the copy of warranty that says unlimited breakages and fine print it says vandalism not included. He fooled us in believing that if a kid hits the window and it break it will be covered. Oh well the company said they can't do anything and they the sales rep has lied to many ppl and not is fired so they refused to match the other company. Now the most imp part. We got our windows changed because our house was not getting warm and the old windows were leaking air..we got them changed in August when it was warm and now it's not even that cold out and I can literally feel the draft and the sales rep (pos) told us there will be not draft Not only is their draft coming but also a lot of moisture. There are lady bugs and other bugs in between window pane and screen if u open the window the bugs will get it. They windows are not quite. He the lying (pos) sales men also said we won't here much outside noise and good god I can freaking hear more then before. I feel the noises are coming from inside my house. We have a train near by and I swear I feel like it's going thru my house. We spent over 14000 for nothing. We changed 16 windows. Our house is still cold there is draft moisture and noise still coming in. And to top it all even bugs are making there way in: Attached is the pic of the lady bug Please listen to the reviews of all these ppl..they did not get 1.5 stars for nothing. I ordered 5 windows from this company October 8th . Before I decided to order them I discussed that I was selling my house. They told me they would be in around the end of February, and would schedule an installation date sometime in March. December came around where i received a text that the windows will be in around end of March. Another confirmation text again end of March I responded saying I was told feb where the woman said due to the pandemic materials where on back order. The end of April I received a text saying the windows will be in May. This is when I finally said that the contract that we agreed upon is no longer valid seeing as though I was listing my house in April. The front window is broken, and that is why I was replacing them. That with my window broken I'm unable to list it. I've been trying to talk to a manager because they are threatening me with the contract saying I will be responsible for 33 percent which is 2,800 that is preposterous on all levels. I spoken to several lawyers friends of mine that have said due to the fact they don't even have the windows their contract isn't valid. If anyone is looking for windows the company is filled with bullies and scam artists. Do not order anything from here. Worst company ever. read more

I had such a bad experience with a sales person from WindowWorks. I had done business with them on a couple of occasions and sent referrals to WindowWorks. I had an appointment with a sale person and he did the number game which I was very disappointed since I had them do all my windows in my house and garage siding and gutters and door. And sent referrals that end in business. So I was disappointed when they sent someone who claimed to be a manager and tried to play the number game. That is , this is our offer if you accept today, this is the amount if you commit within two weeks then 30 days. So I declined. Then I received a call from someone who again claimed to be a manager and he claimed he wanted my business and that he could do better with the price from the first sale's person. He was late for first appointment so we rescheduled and when he came he was so rude. He wouldn't respond to my questions he said to me that he doesn't know where the first sales person got those numbers , that maybe he was just giving me any numbers to blow me off but he didn't have better numbers and that he wasn't even going to honor the numbers that that first sales person had given me. He got up and headed towards the door I followed and advised him how rude he was and I proceeded to opening the door and said you have a bless day. " and other lies, then this company is for you!!! If you're a sane, balanced human being, my recommendation is to take your business elsewhere. To be fair, the tech who came out to do the estimate was friendly and the actual windows looked awesome. However, the multi-tiered bullcrap sales numbers to try and get me to buy the same day were nearly unethical. But the follow-up calls and harassment sealed the deal. We had 2 people come to our home from Window Works last night for pricing on a new roof. My husband set it up, so I wasn't sure what was expected. They came at 5:30 pm, which was the appointment time. Fine. We have 2 children (11 months and 3 yrs). As with all other appointments we've had, I expected my husband would be able to talk to them, show our concerns, etc. They sat down and started showing videos, photos, more videos. I had to feed the baby and play with her. At this point, it's nearly 7 pm! I took her up for a bath and said "goodbye" assuming they would be gone. Get back down, and realize they're still showing videos and samples, etc. I put the baby to bed. They were still here!! My husband finally snapped and confronted them about being in our home for nearly 3 hours without any true estimate. He walked out, which is when I told the gentleman that I'm sure that was a sign we wouldn't be using them and it's time to leave. They still then wanted to talk to me and said, "well, this appointment was scheduled for 60-90 minutes, but it's been longer because you've both been back and forth with the kids." Mama bear almost got her claws out. They were in our home for 3 hours and wanted to blame us for their extremely long, pushy, degrading sales tactics!! When they left, my husband compared it to a timeshare pitch. That's exactly what it felt like. They wanted us to sign with them on the spot and not allow us to do any research. Luckily, our neighbor stopped by. They had been referring to his roof saying how it was a nice roof, $80k, and that's the top of the line which we should get. He paid $45k, which is exactly why they won't leave until they seal the deal. We looked up the main representative after they left and there are charges against him in Cook County for his previous company regarding unfinished work, misused funds, etc. I could go on and on. Every aspect of the installation went very well. Mr. Futterer , who came to our house was very nice, knowledgeable and sincere. We wanted to replace two exterior doors. He presented a very good product. We negotiated a good price. A few days later, a measuring technician arrived finalizing measurements. He was very nice. A few days later Michele, from Window Works, phoned to confirm all information, the product we selected, and the measurements. Two installers arrived 3 weeks after we signed the contract. This was sooner than we expected. The two gentlemen worked very hard, and diligently. They answered our questions, and did an excellent job. The two new doors look very nice. They fit square and tight. We are very happy with Window Works, the two doors we purchased, and the staff. read more

Wow, what a terrible experience. I meant to review them last month, but I forgot and we just received a follow up call which reminded me of how awful they are. Salesman came to the house and did all the usual stuff, no big deal. Then offers us the "today only deal", which other reviewers have clearly described, it's all true. Then we took a private moment to talk it over and I checked their yelp reviews. Whoa. Decided to tell him we needed to finish having other companies come over and give us quotes, which is true. We set up several appointments that week. He remained seating while my husband and I stood uncomfortably near him, telling him politely over and over that we just have to do our due dilligence and hear other quotes. It was extremely uncomfortable, and rude of him to overstay and continue to push us. He made disparaging remarks about other companies, and the brand new kitchen window that we just had installed, and was quite passive aggressive to us. Obviously, we went with another company, Pella. Fast forward to today, when we get a phone call following up. The woman was passive aggressive and when we told her we went with Pella she replied, "Oh, they're a good competitor, we replace a lot of their windows". I doubt it! Bad experience, bad attitudes, bad customer service. Wasn't aware that window companies had such hard sells as their business model! I can only imagine that the owner of this company does not care or in fact encourages this behavior, because the endless bad reviews should have been a wake up call a long time ago. March 2020 - So we had an unbelievable and terrible experience with Mike Cook who apparently is a project manager for this company, first he was an hour and twenty minutes late, they called and we were ok with it. We have a one year old and have to eat so while talking we were taking care of him and cooking dinner...it was at least 7:20pm when he got started! He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder from the get go. Became defensive when we asked questions. He got upset when I asked him about the glass thickness...he didn't know and kept deflecting. Didn't even look at our windows and was like well I can't see them because they are covered... he really said that. Wouldn't look us in the eye at all. He finally said..."window works does 50,000 windows a year and do you think one sale is going to make a difference". At this point I said ok then thank you for your time, have a good night. The our front door was unlocked and the man refused to leave. Literally, he said oh you all are coughing I am not touching the door handle. We were not coughing and no one is sick in the household. I said ok then offered him a paper towel. He still refused to leave. I threatened to call the cops and he was like go ahead you invited me in. This is craziest situation ever. He finally left when my wife offered him a Lysol wipe and to open the door. Then he threw it on our property. I of course called him some choice words but he deserved them. I contacted Kathy to let her know about our situation. I will update this review when she contacts me.... It's unfortunate because John the first sales manager was great. ****update I talked to Kathy from window works, very nice lady. She apologized on behalf of the company for his behavior. My husband and I regret going with Window Works to replace our two patio doors. They fill themselves with pride over their guaranteed customer satisfaction, quality work and trained techs. First of all, our installation date was this past Monday and everything was going well until one of the guys said that there was a problem, the two sliding doors of one of the patio doors were missing the wheels. So then I called customer service to explain to them the situation and then it turns out the doors were also missing the foot locks. I called this issue in at around noon. And guess when they were able to come back, Thursday morning. And when I complained about how they should've had a quality control team to check the windows before the installation because now I was going to have to open my schedule for them to come back; the CSR blamed me for waiting til Thursday when they were the ones to say that the parts were going be here by Thursday. I even called Wednesday to see if by any chance the parts had arrived so they can be installed ASAP and they said no. The two techs, Ty & Vova, that came on Thursday were great because they fixed errors made by the first two guys and installed the wheels and locks. But today, when I tried to lock one of the doors from the outside it doesn't lock. After all of this, I asked for some type of credit for all the inconvenience since we are spending almost $13,000 on the doors and the CSR said that all she could do was give me a $50 restaurants.com gift card and I said no I want a credit or an additional discount on the purchase and she laughed and said that she was going to talk to a supervisor or someone up higher and that they were going to get back to me and I have yet to receive a call. We are also planning on replacing all the windows in a year or so, but we will definitely not be doing business with Window Works again! read more

I am shocked by the bad reviews on here! We had Window Works come out in June 2015 for a quote. I had other quotes from Home Depot, Pella & Feldco prior to Window Works coming out (all of which were much higher than Window Works). I waited a full year to do this review to make sure I gave an accurate review. We had 24 windows and a patio door replaced. Our sales person was awesome, went over all the benefits of their windows, how they own the majority share of the company that makes their windows so they can control quality. We knew how much we wanted to spend and Window Works came in under that, we spent $17k for all the windows and door. We had one of the most difficult installs (a D) according to Window Works so they scheduled two days to install. Our measure was awesome and quick. It took a 5 weeks to make the windows. Ty and his team were awesome! Started at 8:30am after I took my daughter to daycare and worked until 8pm both nights. My daughter came down with croup on the second day and the team were awesome trying to deal with a screaming, crying 2 year old and even played with her while they were waiting for others to finish. We've had two issues since the windows were installed, minor issues and Ty came out within 3 days to fix the issues both time. I am planning on using this company when we redo our kitchen and 3 bathrooms! read more

Had an appointment for an estimate on 7/13/16. Salesman shows up on time and was a nice guy. I explained to him from the beginning, I am looking to get new siding as the old siding on my house is 60+ years old. I explained that I was ready to move on it if the price was right. I think this helped him to keep the presentation moving. Thankfully, the presentation and everything was only an hour, unlike some of the other horror stories I have read on here today. So the salesman gets done doing his measurements and presentation and is preparing to give me his number. He asked how I would be paying for it and I told him cash. He asked if I would be interested in 0% financing and I said possibly, but I would prefer to pay in cash. If I had to finance, it was likely too much. He presents me with a quote for $25,000!!!! Now I could understand this if I lived in a huge home with multiple levels. I live in a 750 sq ft 1 story home with a 2 car detached garage. Has this guy lost his freaking mind?!?! So after he shows me the quote, I told him were not even close in the same ballpark. I explained to him that I had already gotten a quote from another company for $7k and thought that was high. I also showed him the priced out materials from Menards since I had a coupon for $89 installation. The quote for materials from Menards was roughly $1,500. So I asked him how he could justify the $25,000 price when labor/installation was only $89. I showed him the price from Menards and said that even if their materials were marked up 4 times that of retail, he is still not even close. Bottom line, I will not ever do business with this company, and I would recommend everyone RUN from them. For anyone that has used them, I am sorry and feel bad for you. Hopefully people will read this and many other reviews on here and realize this company significantly overcharges and their service is sub par. Oh and like others have said, no restaurant.com gift card. Not that I care, you can buy a $50 card for $4 online, and I have hundreds of dollars of these cards laying around that will likely never get used. It is the principle of it though. First off I will say I am only giving 1 star because A; yelp doesn't allow negative stars, and B; Because the first salesman, Rich, was more than excellent. Rich, if you're reading this, run as fast as you can. My wife and I contacted WindowWorks after a referral from a friend who used their services. We had our first appt with the salesman, Rich, who was prompt, kind, and extremely knowledgeable of his product. We were not ready to make a decision that day and requested a 2nd consultation. When we called to book a 2nd appt we were informed Rich was sadly out of town at this time but they would send a manager. This is where things went really south, really fast. Tone, Where do I begin. Manager, 'Tone', came into our home with an attitude I have never experienced before. Not only did he refuse to show me the quote that Rich had initially provided us with, he refused to even provide me with a business card - clearly he knew his behavior was down right inappropriate and you really think I wouldn't just call the company to get your name, Tone?? Tone then began to re-measure all the windows, something I don't understand since Rich had clearly already done all this and Tone supposedly already had all this information - which he again straight up REFUSED to show us. After measuring the windows he proceeded to sit down at our table and literally throw a paper with quote across the table at me. He then began bashing Rich, his own co-worker/employee, to me. I am blown away by how rude this guy was and his level of ignorance caused me to tell him to get out of my house. Rich, I'm sorry for not giving you this sale as I had planned to, had your manger not ruined this completely for your company. We were in the market for new siding for a back bedroom on our mainly brick house. We collected three bids - Window Works came in at the price we wanted to pay and their sales presentation seemed more professional than the other, comparably priced siding company so we gave them our business. Bottom line: don't be fooled by anything the sales guy tells you - it's all BS. So, when he came to our house, he told us three main lies: 1. "The job is small and it will take one - maybe two - days to complete". This was a lie. We are now on day three of work and we've only had one guy at our house working slowly for the majority of the time. When I called today to ask them why it is taking so long, they confirmed that a job this size should have only taken a day but they were not able to tell me why this is taking forever to complete. As of about 8:30 this morning, nobody had shown up to start working but I was assured that they would be there and would finish the job today. One guy showed up to work at 9am and didn't actually start working until 10:00. When I called to ask them why there is only one guy working at my house, they said that they didn't know but would check with the siding manager and would call back. As of now, nobody has called back. 2. "We only work on one side of the house at a time. A team of workers will be tearing down as another team is putting up the new siding behind them". This is BS too - when the one guy showed up on Friday, he tore down all of the siding and then left for the day without putting anything up. Two guys came to work the following day but only finished about a side and a half of the house before leaving for the day. This left half of my bedroom without siding and it snowed about 3 inches that night. Also, I've never seen a "team" of workers show up at my house. 3. "All of our installers are professional and must attend a class to be certified in both window and siding installation". The sales guy painted a picture of very professional crew of workers showing up to complete the job. What we got was one - sometimes two - guys in a beat up old conversion van who were smoking and spitting hockers in our back yard. If you ask me, I'd say the lack of professionalism mixed with the fact that the people at Window Works can't explain why this job took 3 times longer than I was originally quoted suggests that they are contracting their work out to independent laborers to get their siding jobs done. I'm not blaming any of this on the install guys because I appreciate the fact that they are out doing the install in the cold but, ultimately, this isn't what I signed up for. When the sales guy was trying to close the deal, he gave me his cell phone number and was quick to call or text me back until he got our deposit. Now that things aren't going as planned, he's conveniently stopped calling or texting back. Save yourself the aggravation and skip calling these guys if you need work done. One star for price, one star for the finished product (because the siding ended up looking pretty good). read more

Terrible experience. We called for an in home estimate for two windows and were put in a high pressure sell situation inside our own house which was extremely uncomfortable. I spoke to someone afterward in The company to do a follow up of how the appointment was and she assured me it is not how they do business, but I will never call or do business with this company. read more

I was originally thinking of going with these people for windows (until I was advised by someone who used them to absolutely NOT use them), and I had originally signed a contract to proceed -- but have a 3 day clause to cancel. Even though I was told if I sign, I could still get quotes but lock in my negotiated price, nothing would get charged to my credit card until after those 3 days... since I was very uncomfortable giving my information.... HAH! Lies. I got charged the NEXT day. And I canceled that same day only to get many phone calls...which is how I found out I was charged!! When I originally told them I sent in a certified letter to cancel, I was told "But we already charged you the down payment" .... WHAT?!?!?! RUDE. AND the Certified mail was received by the 3rd day as specified in the contract... I would NEVER *EVER* do service with people like this. AWFUL experience. So glad I decided to go with a competitor. AVOID unless you want to get lied to and to have all your neighbors pissed at you for being solicited. Shady business practices. read more

10/10 do NOT recommend service from this company. Horrible experience. Out of the four windows done, all of them have problems. One was installed upside down, one was installed backwards, one doesn't even close, and the fourth was installed loosely. When called, customer service gave attitude and refused to offer any help. We're still trying to get a service person out here to even look at them before solving all the issues. Would NEVER purchase anything from them again. Unreal -- nothing but trouble with Window Works. They gave us the run around for weeks to adjust our price when they did less work than was covered by their estimate. Then, they rejected our referrals' coupon, which they sent to us so we'd refer people to them, subjecting the people we referred to multiple estimates with ever-increasing cost. Whatever you do, do not give these people your phone number. A lot of these windows and door companies make you fill out a form online before giving you any ideas on cost or estimates, but they will continue to call you for months. I ended up completing my project with a competitor but these people just won't stop calling! Please stop calling me! Great experience. Great windows. I was very weary about using these guys (30 windows and a sliding door). It was a big investment and they have questionable reviews on installation timing. Based on my research, they have great windows/product. After speaking with their rep on several different occasions, I found out they had to switch window factories last year, which caused a lot of disruption. That is where most of the bad reviews came from. Before I tell you all the good things - here is the one bad thing. There phone center customer support is beyond embarrassing. It's almost as if they have no note system. I had a couple issues (that the ultimately handled very well and took care of) and the customer service rep that was supposed to be helping me kept messing everything up. It wasn't until I got Rob, one of the sales managers, on the phone that everything got taken care of (within two days!). I had Travis as my sales Rep and I also dealt a lot with Rob, a sales manager. After meeting with 4 companies, i concluded that these were better windows. They were more expensive than the lower end windows, but I believe I got a 'pella' or 'anderson' quality window and a more reasonable price. Install team: I had an awesome install team. They were in and out in a day. Their caulk lines are perfect, they were clean. The windows are straight. Without me saying anything, Window Works told me that a couple of the windows didn't fit perfect (they looked perfect to me). So, they remade the windows and reinstalled at no cost. Again, i can see how some people can have a bad experience if they are dealing with the call center. However, if you get Travis or Rob as your sales reps, they are good people. read more

From non-English speaking installers (Who yelled at me when I asked a simple question) to windows that would not lock, to windows that would not align, to scratches on windows, to missing pieces, to repeated service calls to repair new windows. I have owned my home for over 35 years and had numerous contractors perform work, this company is the worse I have ever dealt with. We had our windows installed a few days ago and I'm happy with them. The installers did a great job. They kept the areas clean and cleaned up after themselves. I'm happy that my huge western facing windows are no longer making my front room a furnace in the afternoon. They aren't drafty like my old windows were. The sliders slide nicely and the casements open without issue. The only issue we had was the original install date was moved back by 6 weeks or so. I knew that was a high possibility after reading the reviews, so it didn't bother me that much. I was given enough notice of the change that if I worked outside the home, I would have had enough time to reschedule time off from work. read more

This place is only good if you want to get ripped off. I am highly concerned about their ethics and the way they go about doing business. After discovering that my elderly mother had been cornered into financing thousands of dollars for something that she did not need. My mother called for a walk in shower and ended up financing a walk-in jacuzzi. Seniors beware their sales tactics are borderline predatory!! read more

I don't know about the work these people do, and I never will because of this experience. If you have elderly relatives living alone and they tell you that someone from this company is talking to them, be alert! My confused mother's about to be stuck with a $16,000 tub in her $80,000 house! She wrote a $500 deposit check to the salesman because she didn't understand how estimates work. I am sure any salesperson talking to an older person can tell when something is not getting through. But... she wrote the check and now she's on the hook. A word of advice for you, Carlos. If you see a basket full of pills on an old lady's kitchen table, it's a sure bet that she may not be all there. You should give her a little breathing room before asking her to sign a legal document and run her credit!! For some reason, when I ask to speak to a decision maker in the company, they say they'll talk to them or send them an email and ask them to call me back. All I want is for them to let her get something else that's closer to the 33% cancellation price. That way, they wouldn't take a complete loss and she wouldn't be stuck financing a tub that costs the same as a 2019 Toyota Yaris. My Window Works is a very dishonest and duplicitous company. When they came out to give us an estimate, after a 90-minute presentation, they quoted a price of $31,000 to change 9 windows! You can buy a new automobile with that kind of money. Then, they proceed to offer you discounts to put you at ease given their first, outrageous quote. Finally, then they try to pressure you by saying that their lowest discount offer will only be valid if you say yes right away. Otherwise, the customer won't be eligible for their generous offer and the initial, ridiculous quote is the only available option. Any company that insists on performing a 90-minute presentation, instead of just taking measurements and giving you an estimate, is doing so because they need time to persuade the potential client that they're receiving a great offer & they'd be injudicious to not accept it immediately. I did a Google search and received quotes from five other companies, that were well reviewed, and they quoted a price of ~$6,000 for the same 9 windows! They didn't do a lengthy presentation and just came in and took measurements, giving me an estimate the next day. Buyers Beware I read a couple bad reviews, wished I had taken heed. The installation especially my kitchen window over sink was sloppy workmanship. Frame bent and installed anyway, covered with caulk. Windows had noticeable air leaks, screens with holes (which I was told they would come out and replaced indefinitely), that was not true I need to take them to a factory location. The quality of the metal frames was poor, they looked like they were all scratched up. Not to my expectation and dealing with company was like dealing with a bully. The good - Good quality windows. The bad - Damaged windows frame installed. Wrong material brought to the installation. They rescheduled my appointment. So far 3 visits and job still not done. But they quickly went ahead and charge the account. So I will be paying for a job not completed. These guys are cheats doing work with them is like spending time money and energy and getting frustrated in return . We had a much better deal with feldco and still we gave the project to them as they claimed that their material and expertise was better . All I asked was a financing scheme to get the large project rolling . They agreed , we put 10 percent down as agreed . 5 weeks later we check the status and the windows haven't even been manufactured . Talked to their accounting department and realize that the amended contract hasn't even been received by them and they expect me to fill out a credit app and pay up to 30 percent to start the project . This is extortion . I called them and told them that I wouldn't proceed doing a project with crooks who cannot keep their words , they can stick the 10 percent up as a parting gift . Much later after several failed attempts I was contacted by the marketing manager , they finally made me fill a credit app at 10 percent but project was delayed several months . All the windows and patio sliding door was installed BUT they messed up a mesh door . No big deal .. all a customer had to do for them was to take another day off work as they didn't work weekends , which the customer did only to waste that day as they messed up again the second time which was unprofessionalism to extreme . Customer service was apologetic and nice enough to agree to have someone come over weekend . The third time thankfully they had the right size for mesh door and was installed properly . read more
