Something felt really off so I did some research through connections I have and found there to be 25 complaints of gapping and bubbling with the company. When challenged I was told by Arthur his lawyer was being added to the email but there is one problem that email doesn't belong to any attorney at all for that matter. As much as I didn't want to take this route, there is clear illegal deception with the business, and they refused to make it right and provide what I paid for so I feel I now must be the person who unravels everything from the people who working there and their training, contract issues, and so much more. Anytime I tried to reach the company, "Johnny J" (owner) always answered, friendly as could be. He explained the process from beginning to end, starting with why the wood needs a couple days in the home before installation. I don't know much about installing floors but I really felt like he was doing it right and not rushing to make the sale or get it done. The workers were fast and meticulous when it came to their work and cleanliness. I paid a extra to have them rip out the carpet, something I could have done my own, but nice to have someone else do for you and haul it away. Choosing a color stain was a challenge and I probably annoyed "Johnny" with my indecision, but ultimately with his advice I chose the best color for my home. Dogs and Hardwood Floors... I have TWO large dogs and they are rough on the floors but you would never know it. They've held up beautifully and again, Johnny's experience came into play as he consulted me with what finish to go with that would show the least amount a "dog nail" wear and tear. If you're in the market or having a tough time picking between two installers, I don't think you can go wrong with All American Hardwood Floors. They were not the cheapest bid I received and the were not the most expensive... I shopped around and they were extremely competitive. The owner seems like a very respectable hardworking family man. Mike the owner was very patient and helpful as we went back and forth trying to make the right decision for our floors. Come to find out our old floors were uneven and the original subfloor underneath was unstable. Tony the carpenter reinforced the original subfloor and a new subfloor installed on top. Most establishments prices were much more expensive so we were getting discouraged. Enter Lumber Liquidators. They didn't have a sample in stock of the style we were interested in. But they sent one FedEx no charge, which came very quickly! We loved it and called to make sure they had enough in stock. They made sure we had the rest of the supplies we needed, and helped load it into our vehicle. I will update on the quality once we get it installed, but it looks comparable to any other brands.
