This is not a review on the quality of the product or installation, just my experience with the sales presentation and advertising. I had Window Nation come out and give me an estimate on replacing 4 windows. Window Nation is advertising a buy 2 get 2 free sale so I thought I'd see if that were true. For perspective, I own a typical Chicago Bungalow and am looking to replace standard double hung windows (no big bay windows or anything large and fancy). So they offered two choices for double hung, no grids and not tempered glass, just basic double hung windows. One was called the Endeavor Premium and the other is the Biltmore. The premium windows came out to $5,342 (for 4 windows) and the regular window came out to $4,579 (again for 4 windows total and installation). This is with their sale price, per the salesman, WITH the sales price and at the discount. This honestly doesn't seem anything like a sales price buy two get two free deal... Do they really expect me to believe the normal price is close to double what was quoted for 4 windows??? Also, they mentioned they were backed up in orders and it would be at least a couple months to install. They said the windows come with a 5 year warranty on labor for the premiums and 1 year for the basic window. read more

Made an appointment the sales person was a no call no show. I called the customer service line to ask for an eta, got a call back that the sales person got a stomach bug and would need to reschedule. I took time from my busy schedule to make sure I rushed home on a Wednesday night to give window nation 1 hour of my uninterrupted and undivided attention because that is what that said they needed from me, for a sales report and company to stand me up. I was willing to spend thousands of dollars on windows an sliding doors for my home and received not courtesy or professionalism. They offered my a 15.00 gift card if I decided to reschedule. I would leave no stars if it would let me. Windows being installed today, were measured incorrectly, installing white windows and was told by installer the brown window stops were staying. The salesman said everything would match and be measured perfectly, within an 1/8". The main front window is more than a 1/2" off. The installer then decided it was ok to tell me I dont what I am talking about and continued to get loud and argue with me. Will never use them or recommend this company. read more

I purchased a entry door from Window Nation that was found to have several flaws/imperfections. The company is refusing to replace/exchange the door and instead demanding payment for the unsatisfactory door. The branch manager told me since I haven't paid in full the door has no warranty. He wants me to settle the balance and put in a claim. Why would i pay $8000 for a door that needs repair!? The installation which took 6 weeks to complete was just finished 12/16/24. Who can I talk to about this beyond the branch manager who has been unprofessional and unreasonable. I do not recommend Window Nation. BUYER BEWARE - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We contracted with Window Nation for over 40 windows, in June of 2024, a very expensive job. At our install at the end of September of 2024, the installers told us that two of our bedroom windows were not functional; the following week we failed our village inspection due to other windows being 'sticky'. It took over SIX MONTHS for our windows to be repaired. It took from the install until the middle of February, before parts were even ordered to fix the two windows, and then they WEREN'T the right parts. On three separate occasions, someone was sent to my home to measure the broken windows, even though they were the same windows they installed and measured prior to and after the failed install. I was escalated to many managers in the company who apologized and promised to rectify the situation. After the initial phone call by each, I never saw any effort from them to rectify the situation; no follow-up phone calls, checks on progress, etc. When things were finally fixed, the Manager-Branch Installation told me that my work was considered warrantee work and given we hadn't yet paid in full, they had only fixed them in good faith, to ensure a good customer experience. I wasn't going to pay my final payment, when the install wasn't complete (I was even advised of that by my salesman); how could windows that wouldn't open on install ever be considered warrantee work versus completing the job they were hired to do? Window Nation had so many opportunities to make this right, yet they failed. Their customer service should be reviewed and focus made on mass improvements. I would never, in good conscience, recommend them to another consumer. read more

We hired Window Nation for a window installation almost a year ago, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing. The installation caused significant drywall damage, which was acknowledged by their own representative who visited our home and took photos. Despite providing clear documentation and an estimated repair cost of $1500, we've been repeatedly asked to handle the resolution ourselves--including collecting quotes and coordinating repairs. This is unacceptable and shifts the burden unfairly onto us as customers. We've tried to resolve this amicably, but Window Nation has failed to take responsibility. They then show you all the discounts they will specially apply for you. At the end they show you the price you get if you sign on the spot. Very much unimpressed by Window Nation and DO NOT recommend them. We had our windows down in September and are still waiting for them to finish the job four months later. They've become unresponsive. We've tried to work through our salesperson, who is no longer responding to us. At one point, he told us the installation department was not responding to his requests about our windows. They installed the wrong size windows for our basement. They stopped halfway through the installation after releasing this. We've been trying to get them to correct this issue for FOUR months and install the remaining windows that we are owed (and have paid for). Additionally, they never finished calking the interior side of our windows throughout the rest of our house. We ordered 21 windows from them and feel like we've been scammed. After almost a year since replacing all our windows, I do not recommend Window Nation. Like most customers, we were impressed by the salesman and we liked their window a little better than the lowest bidder. They were quick to measure windows and were able to install them as expected, however the installation was poor and we're still finding issues. They messed up two bay windows so we had to wait for those to be remade after they already installed the wrong ones. They advertise that they only open one window space at a time, but that's not true. They cut multiple windows at once so for two full days our house was freezing and the furnace ran non-stop in December. (I left the house) They had our garage door open, and doors open into the house all day so we also had to trap a couple of mice that came in the next day. (Kitty got one) the flashing around the bow windows were done in two different ways on the exterior. These windows are right next to each other... They didn't fully insulate around one of the bay windows so we had a nasty draft come in during winter at our dining room table. They have a decent service warranty, but of course you have to wait for an assessment tech to come by and check before they can schedule an actual craftsman to come and fix it. We had to have them fix the draft, the terrible trim job, split caulking around two windows, and two cut screens. Four months later another installation crew came to replace the bay windows and did the same thing with cutting both openings at one time and just about fully had the backside of my house open, and yes, we had wasps inside at the end of the day. Now, while the temperature seems fine, we keep getting flies or Asian lady beetles inside when all our windows are closed. You can see them in between the screen and glass because there is an open weep hole in the screen plastic, and then they make their way inside somehow. It's incredibly frustrating. Again, for $39,000... It's ridiculous. With the current cold snap we've now found air coming in some windows to the point that we have ice on one of the window sills. TL;DR Terrible installation; bugs get inside; do not recommend. read more

If it rains hard enough or long enough water seeps into the house. I called window nation customer care in July and never heard back from the repair team. I have been calling for 2 days and supposedly the service team is aware of the issue, just ignoring me, I guess. I even reached out to the salesperson by email and got no reply. I was told today I need to give them 48 hours to respond. That time frame was up hours ago. The window in the pictures was Nearly $4000.00. And I have a window that pees in my home. Run from this company as fast as possible. We signed our contract in November and it is April and we are still missing a window with no confirmation it's been ordered and no one is answering or reaching out after my sales contact sent an email to 5 internal people in early April to escalate and I have sent another two since with no response. Prior to this, I got an auto email from an account acting on behalf of the ceo and I sent the following back and still didn't receive anything. Their contracts provide no consumer protection in the form of guaranteed work completion dates or resolutions for when they are at fault. I have started paying my full bill. Again, run! Email back to "ceo" asking if I would refer: Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, at this time, I wouldn't be able to recommend window nation to family and friends. We began this process in October with Greg. The initial consult was fine and leading up to the install was as expected but the timeline of events that have ensued since have been far below expectations: Issue 1: Initially received call to schedule install on Friday, November 17 and confirmed for November 30-December 1st but was given November 21-22 as an option. When I called back to try and switch on the same day, I couldn't get a hold of anyone and was told to expect a call back with 2-3 business days, which would have been past the November 21-22 install date option. I was able to connect with my sales rep, Greg to get it resolved but that was on Monday, November 20th and after multiple calls, emails and voicemails. During that same period, I received 3 separate sales calls from your team asking if I was interested in purchasing windows through Windownation. Main point: 3 separate sales people were available to call me to gauge my interest in windows that I had already purchased, but not one install coordinator was available to call me back. Issue 2: upon installation, the installers notified me that two of the windows were incorrectly measured and could not be installed. I was told they had called in the correct measurements for the two windows and proceeded to install the remaining ones. The group of installers were great and I signed off on paperwork at the end for them. I waited all of December to reach out as I recognized Holidays would likely slow down process and connected with Greg, my sales rep, on January 3 after the 866 number would not connect me to anyone after multiple attempts and I had started to pay the invoice on the full service, including the windows that had not been installed. Greg reached out to operations and I received a call back stating my windows needed to be measured. This was now ~5 weeks after the initial install and the installers stating they had called in the measurement issue for correction. On January 4, the technician was scheduled to arrive between 2-4 and showed up at 11:30 AM instead and luckily I was not on any work calls and could accommodate. I was asked about the issue with measurements, how many windows I initially got installed, the naming convention for the room where the incorrect measurements were, etc., and I had to politely, but repeatedly tell the gentleman, that I was not sure and would have assumed all that information was in your system. I recognize the gentleman was trying to correct an issue that had been made over the past 3-4 months, but it is still window nations issue to resolve. Issue 3: it is now mid-February, I have begun payment, and I still have two windows, and no understanding of when my new windows will be installed. When I have gotten in touch with anyone to ask for how this will be rectified and/or discounting for the lack of management and coordination of my account, I have been politely but essentially told, "sorry, contract is what it is" or, "you can call us back once everything is installed to discuss a discount." Note: Yelp keeps making me from CA for some reason. I'm in IL. Weird. So this is a review for Romeoville location. Fantastic. From the beginning to the end. They came out quick when we expressed interest, were thorough, gave us a quote. We went with them after meeting with a few others. After we contracted with them, they had a thorough guy come out and measure the windows more meticulously than the sales rep, of course. Took a while to get the windows (we had bunch--high 20's, low 30's) due to low inventory, shortage issues, etc, etc. They kept us apprised and informed as we waited. Team came in on one day and got them all done, save for one, which was the wrong window via the manufacturer. (They put an incorrect window in the box.) Took another month or so to get the proper window in, during which time they, again, kept us informed. We got the final window and all was well. We tested all the windows with a hose and strong spray, once they had been in for a day. No leaks, no issues. Very pleased, all around, and they had a great price compared to their competitors, while still delivering both high quality and high service. read more

I like to start by saying all these five star reviews seem to be from people that enjoyed their free consultation. If you look at the reviews of people that got windows it's definitely not five stars. I got 3 windows and 2 sliding doors put in July of 2023. During install I was called in to my front room and told the door must have been ordered backwards. He said "what do you want us to do". I had waited 16 weeks and the original door was already ripped out. I said "I don't really have a choice now put it in". They finished the door and windows and left. So now I have two backwards doors and the wrong colored handles. I reached out and was continually ignored till I finally gave up. Fast forward to April of 2023. I'm standing next to my windows during a really bad rain storm and all of a sudden I feel water hitting me! The windows are leaking! Now I have two backwards doors with wrong handles and leaking windows! First time I called the costumer service people must have a game that if someone upset calls they pass them to the next costumer service person. I was passed to 5 people before a nice lady said she'd write something up and have someone call. Matt who I believe is a manger (but shouldn't be) called me late that Friday afternoon. I felt heard and that I was going to be helped. From that point on nothing. I had to chase after him and call repeatedly. They treat you like your the problem. Finally I was able to get someone out to look at everything. We talked about what was wrong and he made notes and left. I was told both doors and windows would be fixed. About 12 weeks later everything came in. They showed up with one door and stuff to repair the window. So they were missing a whole door. They said it wasn't in the order. So I start calling all my points of contact. I called Matt 3 times and text him. Still nothing. I called the window nation number and the game of passing me around started again! I texted another point of contact. They finally texted back hrs later and said the install manager would call. He called and said he'd look into it and then I never heard from him again. The only point of contact I have that answers me through text is someone named Sam(the only good employee they seem to have). Sam let me know the other door was ordered and set up the 3rd install date with me. Not one person has reached out to talk to me from the beginning. The second door finally went in. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of passion and customer service. I've gotten more customer service buying a pack of gum than this company has given over the past year and a half. I have asked for someone higher up to please call me and still nothing. And now again the game of trying to get anyone to call me back starts. I was told several times when the job is done compensation would be discussed. Crickets on their end still. Finally talked to install manager named Cliff. He promised me he would look in to this and absolutely make sure I received some compensation. Followed up today because obviously this company is the worst. He let me know there would be no compensation. If you want to avoid being upset, stressed out and frustrated please pick another company for your windows! Working with this company has left me feeling disgusted. I see that someone that claims to be the "owner" writes back under reviews with a number you can call. Unless the"owner" calls me personally don't write anything under my review! I ordered 4 windows from Window nations, located in schererville Indiana. I signed a contract, put down a large deposit and was told my windows would be installed in 12-16 weeks. I signed the contract December 21, 2022. I keep getting messages that the date is being pushed further away. I am furious. It has now been 19 weeks and they keep pushing the date. I called customer service wondering when this will be done and Shenea said they would be on May 4, 2023 and they needed an additional two weeks to inspect the windows. Now we are looking at a shipment date of May 11, 2023. So now they won't be delivered until May 11, 2023 from the factory. Then they get another two weeks to inspect them? I have a busy schedule and arguing with people on when a service I paid for is not what I want to be doing. This service was contracted and the deposit put down, why am I not getting the service I hired out? Beyond furious right now. Beware once you sign the contract you are responsible for 60% of the contract. Unfortunately, they are not being held accountable for their end of the contract. Since day 1 of installation it's been a terrible experience not 24 hours after installing my windows and patio door installed the one bedroom window shattered. They also didn't install the patio door correct either and trying to get this company out to fix the problems has been terrible I can't tell you the amount of times there were out to measure the screen and they come back and it's still wrong I have missed work waiting for them and this is what I get. And the manager hasn't even called me regarding this issue I have to always contact them. I also referred my neighbor and I regret that as well as they are having problems too. 10 months of dealing with this and still NO SCREEN! The sales person that lied to me and would not give me the correct windows or the correct price was just promoted. Sorry Harley you are disappointed but you should disconnect with the people you sub contracted in Illinois. They are horrible. And you should help the people that were taken advantage of by providing the correct windows or giving them their money back. Your father would be ashamed. read more
