Called window nation per their advertised special of b2g2. 0% financing, no payments for 2 years. All of that, a lie. After telling the sales rep I did not want to make a contract same day, he continued to persist. Unfortunately, I caved and signed. Financing was 9.9% starting 30 days after install for 120 months. True 0% interest options were ungodly down payments and remaining balance due at install. When calculating the price, he came back with 19,500, when I still didn't sign, his "boss" miraculously had a huge job cancelation and wanted to fill the spots, so he brought the price down to $13,000. Any company that can attempt to charge you that much in excess is completely taking advantage. I have since contacted them to cancel my contract. read more

All buyers be AWARE!!!! This company use practice of misleading the customers and providing false information during the sale. Salesman verbally sells one product and states that additional jobs, like replacing the rotten wood, adding insulation around the windows, will be done during installation. He does not mention all the details about additional jobs in the contract so when the customer has complain they simply say "Look at your contract, is that your signature? You get what you pay for!!!" They refuse to come back or work with customer to resolve the issue by saying: "we are done with you and we are not going to go back and forth". And then come a threat about putting the balance into collection and holding customer liable for accusing their salesman!!! Then, their attorney send a letter with the statement that if the balance is not paid with another $2300 for attorney fees there may be further action taken against the customer. Is this a threat with the lawsuit??? When we ordered windows and sliding doors, we specifically told the salesman we were looking for aluminum with foam inside. He assured us that that is exactly what we were going to get. He also stated that the wood under the old sliding doors will be replaced as it looks rotten. The same for the windows, he stated that if there is any moisture or missing insulation around the windows, wood will be replaced and installation added. During installation their contractors didn't even know they were supposed to replace the wood or insulation. They were surprised to hear it as this information was completely new to them!!! They told me this extra job is not on the work order and that they dont do it. Operation manager Brian stated that they never replace rotten wood or insulation as its too expensive and that they never carried aluminum doors or windows with foam inside. He also said that he can not copy what their salesman say during the sale and that the installation is done! Despite our complains about improper installation, wrong product, misrepresentation during the sale, Window Nation refuse to solve the problem and demand the balance through attorney (+$2300 attorney fees) disregarding that there is no customer signature on completion form. Attorney stated in his letter that Window Nation followed up with us many time, which they didnt!!! Last thing I heard from them was a threat from their accountant about putting the balance in collection, calling me rude and holding me liable to accusing their salesman!!! So, now we are left with the cheaply made hollow vinyl product with no foam that we didnt ask for, old wood that per salesman was supposed to be replaced, no customer support or help from Window Nation, no warranty on the product and finally with an attorney letter demanding the balance plus $2300 attorney fees. Had initially a good experience talking about window issues, what was recommended for my home, and differences between what I have and newer technology. Also had a good conversation about what caused the window condensation and other damage with our old 1999 windows. The estimator was showing me how my windows work, was rough with the windows, broke pieces off the top of the window, committed to fixing it, and now I'm having to follow up several times to get them to come back and fix it. Then when you try to get someone to fix the work they messed up on, it takes weeks. Twice they never showed up when scheduled (after missing days of work). This review is based off my experience with two companies on back to back nights. Window Nation came to my home at around 6pm as promised. The representative was kind and courteous. He came in greeted me and my family, and had a good sense of humor. I like common courtesy and humor and wanted to do business with them. I was sure I would be canceling the two other estimates scheduled for the week. The rep went around the house and counted up the windows. I also asked for my French doors to be replaced by a sliding door. After showing us the types of windows he had and how they worked, I was ready to talk pricing. The rep gave me a critique sheet and asked my wife and me to guess the estimate. If we were close they'd take off $300. I thought this was odd because what if we were over? Would they charge us the higher of the two? With 34 windows and sliding doors, the estimate came out to $36,000! I was floored! My wife and I guessed $12,500 and $11,500 respectively. We were embarrassed to even show what we had thought. We asked to remove the sliding doors and it brought it down to $26,000. Still, an absurdly high amount. The rep's face changed from someone who looked like he had a sure deal to someone who looked like he didn't know if he would have a sale. He asked me how much I'd be able to do it for, I said maybe $20,000. He said he would try to speak with his manager and get back with me. He came back shortly thereafter with a quote slightly over $20,000 and I had to think about it. He waited outside while I spoke to my wife. I called two friends of mine and explained the quote, they scoffed at the price and said no way. The rep made it sound like this was a one time deal and it might not be available once he leaves. I really had to think about it, but in the end, I knew I had another company coming by the next night and it was one another friend had used. It cost him about $9,000 for 22 windows. I was sure that the next company would be in the $20,000 range, maybe slightly higher, maybe slightly lower. When all was said and done, they found that I didn't have 34 windows (35 instead) and they gave me a quote of just under $18,000 WITH the sliding doors. Another issue with Window Nation is that they had a financing "deal" at 0% for 12 months, if you put 50%-70% down. This other company, 0% for 15 months with no money down. You don't ever have to pay for your windows until after they install them and you're satisfied with the install. I felt duped. I mean, getting a call from the company on a Sunday and them offering a military discount, thanking me for my service is one thing, but to try to rip me off? That's unforgivable. I am so thankful I did not sign on the dotted line and so thankful I didn't allow them to bully me into a bad deal. If I had gone with Window Nation, I'd be one window short, and still have the same French doors without a replacement due anytime soon. If they only spent more time being honest with their customers than they do trying to squeeze every last penny from them, they'd be a 5-star company. Instead they tried to take $36,000 from me, my wife, and 5 kids for windows that apparently come from somewhere else. I am disappointed in myself for almost caving in, but thankful for my friends who told me to walk. I don't recommend using this business to work on your home. The good and the ugly. I bought the midline windows, the Grandview. They do cut down on the road noise and I can tell a huge difference in the amount of UV light that is coming through the windows. That is about it. The quality control is awful and the windows aren't the quality I would expect for what I paid, some still have a sticky point opening and closing. They were supposed to replace two sills which were not replaced and I listened to conversation saying uh oh and this is a problem, not sure what happened or what the fix was. I found a good bit of caulk in my kitchen and not on the windows. I would not buy these windows again. read more

When he finally gave me a price it was ridiculus and when i asked him to brake it down so i can see that where am i geting the 2 free ones, he told me he cant do that they have to calculate everything together. They cut my electric for my outside lights,tried to bullshit my wife saying it's not a big deal they were not planning to report their mistake until my wife forced them to. Completely garbage estimate experience. My fiance scheduled an appointment for an estimator to come out for replacing all our windows. Several days later, well after the appointment had been made, the night before Window Nation is scheduled to come, they call him and let him know because he's not the home owner, they won't meet with him. He is my fiance, and while I am the legal deed holder, we are most certainly both the homeowners and this property is OURS. I don't appreciate Window Nation disrespecting the way that my fiance and I chose to enter home ownership and whose name we put on the mortgage or not. Irrelevant for window purchases. We are not renters. I should have cancelled right there, but unfortunately we were stupid enough to proceed with an appointment a week later when we could both be available during a work day. On the day of our appointment... Rep was 15 minutes late, when he arrived I told him I had another contractor (for a separate job) coming in 45 mins -- that he had to wrap up by that time. "Oh absolutely no problem". I had allotted him an hour to see our 17 windows in the home and estimate that. Little did I know these slimy salespeople need more than 2 hours to see 17 standard size windows and estimate the costs. By the way, I was told he couldn't estimate ONE lone front door -- that'd require another separate appointment and "at least one hour". Funny that no one else had this problem to give me a front door estimate. My other contractor for my kitchen renovation showed up 15 minutes early for his appointment (after calling me), and the Window Nation rep made a scoffing comment under his breath about it. Sorry you don't like professionalism? Maybe he didn't like the phone call from my contractor because the Window Nation rep's own sales pitch included how professional HE was for calling us because he was late, and no other businesses are that professional (what a joke). So while my fiance continued with Window Nation and their ridiculous videos and iPad marketing garbage, I met with a PROFESSIONAL 20 feet away in my kitchen for an initial consult about our kitchen renovation. After about 30 minutes, the Window Nation rep insisted to my fiance that I had to leave my contractor appointment in the kitchen because my fiance and I BOTH had to be present for the final part of his ridiculous sales charade. I told my fiance that if the rep couldn't figure out how to give a window quote to one of us standing a room apart, then he could leave because I won't interrupt my on-time appointment for one that started late and is now over the time frame I told him to wrap up by. In 45 minutes, my other contractor had measured and taken detailed videos, descriptions, etc., for the remodel. Yet.... the Window Nation rep is STILL yammering on in my living room about marketing nonsense -- I even told him -- I don't need you to credential your company, remember that WE called YOU. The guy kept dragging his feet on the quote. At this point he has been here TWO. HOURS. When 45 minutes to get it done was, "Oh absolutely no problem" when he arrived. Wasting our team needlessly is a sure way to NEVER close a sale. The sleezy sales tactics of pulling out an old coupon that's expired and saying they'll give me an extra $200 off per window was also so tacky and unnecessary. Finally we are presented with a meandering, ridiculous amount of circuitous math -- which, upon checking back, doesn't add up. In fact, someone called us afterward and wanted to check on the price because they didn't think we had been given the right deal afterwards. At long last, after the quote is handed over and we said we're not making any purchase today, he starts in on a bunch of general business experience questions, and they drag on, and on, and on. At this point, I tell him we're not here to give him free market research data, that MY TIME has value, and he's gone more than DOUBLE the time I had told him and he had AGREED to spend in my home. I thanked him for the quote and his time and asked him to leave. What a ridiculous spectacle. I am actually embarrassed for this company and their predatory sales charade. If you are planning to use Window Nation to replace the windows in your home, here is a cautionary story. We contracted with Window Nation (WN) to replace ALL the windows in our house in Villanova, PA in March of 2022. A nearly $40,000 job. The replacement windows were so sub-standard that they all need to be replaced. And the poor quality and inferior workmanship may have already created (and may be creating) additional damage to our stucco house. On four separate occasions, Window Nation's own representatives -- its original installers, initial inspector, manager/inspector, and re-measurer -- all confirmed, in person, that the windows that were originally installed, manufactured by a company called Alside, were so defective that they all need to be replaced. Among many other problems, some of the windows were cracked/broken, the window slats are crooked and do not line up with one another, most windows have irremovable industrial adhesive in conspicuous places, screens are ripped and loose, more than 50% of the windows do not have window cranks, some windows do not lock, and some windows have to be force closed from the exterior of the house. We have been attempting to work with Window Nation to get our windows replaced, but we just keep getting the run around from the company. They've left 75% of our exterior windows without caulking them because they capped the windows with the wrong color and were supposed to come back, but never did. Like the TV commercial by Window Nation's competitor, Window Nation is blaming the manufacturer; the manufacturer is blaming the installer, and the installer is pointing its finger at the manufacturer. And while all the finger pointing is going on, we are left with defective unusable windows and ongoing damage to our house as a result. We have been in contact with and have documented emails, voicemails and texts from the original WN sales agent (John Doran), WN escalation team members (Hans Brown and Ashlyn Granger), and the owners of WN (Aaron and Harley Magden) all claiming that they will 'resolve the situation' and they 'will do the right thing'. Aaron Magden (owner) emailed us saying 'please allow Harley and I to personally dig into so we can get your situation resolved. It's embarrassing to hear what's transpired as this is not the type of operation we run. Thanks for your patience and we profusely apologize for what you've endured'. That was September 6, 2022! We never heard from them again. We can no longer sit idly by while Window Nation fails to honor its end of the bargain. We've filed a complaint with the BBB and filed a formal lawsuit to compel Window Nation to honor its contractual commitments. More than 1 year is plenty of time for them to have resolved! read more

Got a quote for 16 windows and 3 sliding doors. The high-pressure sales guy started at over $108k. but if I sign TODAY it will be down to just $78k. Then he wouldn't leave my house when I told him I am still shopping around. I get it....these types of horrible home-repair company's have the best chance of winning your business by staying as long as possible. They know if you do your research, you will find other, better providers at a much better price. When I told him to leave (after 4 HOURS) he did the 'call to the manager' tactic. The company installed by windows in May 2022. The were poorly installed, with part of the windows not insulated and drafter than my old windows. It has took a month and 8 emails to get them to send a technician out to look at them. The technician agreed that they were poorly installed by only looking at 2 and say all the windows would need to be checked for installation issue. That was over 2 weeks ago. Don't let these people in your house. They will never leave unless you kick them out. Had window nation here tonight to give me an estimate. I was told ahead of time that I had to guarantee an hour. I said okay. Salesman comes and tells me, oh no, it's going to take longer than that. Had to listen to a prescripted spiel from him, and I told him to go measure the windows. He said, let me do my job first. Then he measures. then we have to listen to him read off of another script. Think about a power point that presenters read verbatim and how horrible that is. I ask him to go get the window and read his script while showing us the window. He refused. Finally, we get to see the window. Looks like a decent vinyl product. Then the funny part. He quotes me around 100k for 40 pocket install vinyl windows and 3 patio doors. More than Anderson Renewal, Pella wood clad (full tear out) and Marvin fiberglass. Of course, I laugh and then he calls his manager to get better pricing. Now it's down to around 87k. I ask him to leave and tell him I'm not signing anything (which I told him in advance) until I review the contract. He tried to call his manager again and we tell him to do it in his car. Window Nation is the WORST company I have ever come across. We started the process in May and at the end of November, we still dont have windows. From the sales associate Tami, who "forgot to submit our order in the system", to the Director of Regional Operations, who doesnt follow up as promised, all the way up to the CFO, who still couldn't get our install date scheduled, all useless. When the CFO write in an email, "I am embarrassed by the inability of our organization to deliver responsive, accurate and timely communication to you", we should have known to walk away at that point. My husband and I are very disappointed with Window Nation and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The initial visit with the salesman was great but after we signed with them the top quality customer service that was promised was nonexistent. Our project timeline was not even close to what was told to us initially, every time we spoke with them on the phone it was nothing but empty promises and excuses. They consistently avoided our calls and we are actually still waiting for our follow up call that was promised in September. During one call with the sales manager, Mr. Warren Kelly, we were told he had more important jobs to take care of. This was after weeks of going back and forth with him because he assured us he would make up for all the troubles we were experiencing...he didn't do anything but ignore us and hope we went away quietly. On the other hand, the manufacturing and installation companies that Window Nation used were fantastic and we would 100% recommend them. I have replaced windows in three of my homes and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I was told by the sales rep that our windows would be installed with in 3 months......14 months later, the job was complete. This is after losing the paperwork and work orders TWICE, LOSING my check for 10k and then lying about it for OVER 2 years. To top it off, one window came broken and they never ordered my garden window. Three months later, we get a call...oops they FORGOT to order the replacement window AND my garden window AGAIN. No one would return our calls and emails for months, then the rep would forward our emails to someone...who never returned our emails. This company is a joke and CHRISTOPHER ALLGOOD has now threatened to send us into collections even though we have been paying the amount we did finance but I wanted to know WHERE exactly is MY 10K check I gave HIS EMPLOYEE before I give them another one to boot. October 18, 2020: When you work with WindowNation they tell you that your windows will be installed 4-6 weeks after measurement. Our measurement was taken in June. THAT'S 4 MONTHS! The installers were with us for 3 days and were great. As it turns out, they're Vytex employees. So, I asked the lead installer if a residential consumer could buy directly from Vytex instead of dealing with the garbage Windownation puts you through (which, after asking our install team, is apparently quite frequent). The product is not bad and if you get a good installer the experience can be good, but they screwed us over on the first install and never compensated us for the loss which they contractually were supposed to. Baltimore WN installed 4 double glass windows on top floor and they definitely are the best windows on the street. They stands out and are making huge difference with cooling efficiency during the 2021 Summer. Much quieter now inside also compared to heating every car that drive by. No brainer purchase. Accumulated hours of research before deciding to go with WN. Contractors were in and out and detailed down to the granules. Maybe I lucked out with getting competent contractors. Listen, you are probably reading Yelps bad WN reviews. Living in Baltimore for 20 years has taught me to remain glued to the hip of contractors when they're installing or repairing anything I own, or else they will cut corners. The ONE minor snafoo was handled with professionalism and promptness. This was never a "hard sell" situation, never any pressure AND the price was equable. Having a HORRIBLE experience with this company. DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone put themselves through this scam. Firstly, they claim to have a buy two windows, get two free deal. I came to find that this is absolutely false because the sales people DO NOT know the true cost of the windows so they give whatever discount they think will get you to buy. Meaning they give all different pricing to people which is why you will never see line item cost listed anywhere, including your contract. Second, I have tried to email customer service 10 TIMES! They continue to send me "give us your feedback, how can we help" emails and NEVER respond. It is a complete joke. It has also now been two months and I'm unable to get billing information on paying the loan because no one knows what is going on at Window Nation when you call, they just keep bouncing you around. I thought I was going to get a good, quick deal according to the radio advertisement and our salesperson. I should have seen the red flags when he said they were short staffed, the buy one get one free deal was not true and he didn't even offer the free Nest that would be given per advertisement on the radio. We hired Window Nation to replace 49 windows in our home, and 47 of the windows were installed incorrectly! Many of the windows were installed UPSIDE DOWN! You would think a window company would know how to install windows! Well, not this one. They have made at least eight different attempts to fix the multiple issues that their installers caused. Since Jan 2020, we've been trying to get a resolution and here we are in April 2021 and the terrible window are still the same. They'll say their sorry, they'll say we'll work with you, they'll say they will call back "shortly" or within 3-5 business days......but they won't! The sales and installation teams were helpful and professional, but the follow-up staff had a high turnover and were difficult to reach regarding post-install issues. One year later, all was resolved to satisfaction but it was a lengthy process. Our son chose another company for his window replacements. That pretty much says it all. Pleased with the product, but the customer service end of Window Nation seriously lacks professionalism and follow-through. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM WINDOW NATION. Shame on me for not reading the reviews before signing a contract. Window Nation buys goodwill with campy local advertising. Hey they did Tony Kornheiser's windows and he loves them -- they must be great right? On top of that, their salesman was smooth and had a good hustle. I work in sales, so I respected it and looked past what in retrospect should have been some red flags. One of his main pitches was that I was paying for premium customer service -- family owned company; integrity; yadda yadda -- all BS. The gist of the story is that when I contracted with WN in November, I was very clear about the fact that I was about to embark on major home renovation, so the install would have to be several months later. They were cool with it, came out and did a measurement and we waited for the construction to begin. In December I was on an email with my contractor and a rep from WN (not the sales guy Wayne, who had since left the company) but rather the "customer fulfillment Manager) -- everyone had been introduced. We didn't hear anything, but whatever. Not a big deal, I suppose. On March 18 my contractor sent the WN rep an email saying we were ready to receive delivery of the windows. We didn't get a response for two and a half weeks after multiple email follow-ups and phone calls. Now I get it -- COVID turned everyone on their ass. But the lack of ANY communication was maddening. Not a single email to say "sorry, we're in crisis mode, but let's talk tomorrow or tonight or whatever." Just crickets. They finally respond in early April. I dont remember the exact term, but basically say that my order had been "suspended" due to inactivity and they had to start fresh. Why? (1) WN knew this was the plan all along and (2) IF they were going to suspend my order, why not reach out with a phone call or email or anything??? It takes another 10 days to get my order fully updated (they had to re-run the financing; apparently that had been lost as well) and finally last week they tell me the "good" news that my windows are in production and will be ready mid-may. That slows down my renovation schedule by multiple weeks and costs me thousands of dollars (availability of labor, cost of rental home) and more time. I even got an email from them a couple weeks ago letting me know that I'd be contacted by a third party survey company, and if for any reason I couldn't give them top marks to let them know. I respond to the email that I wouldn't be doing so and they didn't even respond! And then this morning I reached out the customer fulfillment manager and the quality assurance guy and haven't heard a peep -- not so much as a "I got your email or message and want to help; will reach out later." Based on reading other reviews I am beyond terrified at how the actual install is going to go; I'm worried about damage to the house and their speed as fixing any problems. Harley, Aaron, ANYONE at Window Nation with the power to fix things -- if you are reading this, call me and figure out a way to make this right. You have my info. I have never seen that bad customer experience. I wish I have checked reviews before hiring them. They brought the door that was a wrong size. They only measured it once when they told that they will measure it twice. Looks like they did a wrong measurement and of course could install the door. I have been waiting for more a month since and no concrete response. They dont even bother to tell me when they will replace the doors. In addition i replaced the windows. one window is not closing normally and they suppose to come and check and no-one came. Will never have business with them again. read more
