Brock was hired in September 2023 to replace a wooden fence after we'd been happy with a…read moredeck-refinishing project he'd helped us with earlier. This fence project was estimated to take about a week and we paid his requested deposit to get started. The eventual outcome of Brock's work appears to be well done and we're happy with the quality of workmanship, but the process of getting it completed was so difficult and lengthy that it negatively effected our overall satisfaction. There were numerous delays, some due to weather, which we understood were beyond his control. In November, he and his crew worked late into the darkness to get it almost done before the expected rains started. The unsealed wood still needed to be sealed and stained, the upright posts still needed to be cut down to the proper height, and the metal post caps were yet to be installed. He promised to complete the job as soon as dry weather would allow, but was adamant that he needed our final payment that night in order to pay his crew. We were reluctant to be in that position of paying in full before the job was completed, but he was very adamant and we wanted to respect the need to pay his employees. Brock insisted that he was in our neighborhood "all the time", would finish promptly, and he even put his promise in writing as added assurance. We wanted to trust Brock to prioritize getting our project finished at his earliest opportunity and we wanted to believe his promises about it getting done quickly as soon as the weather allowed. Instead, the unfinished fence remained like that through to the end of this summer 2024. When the summer dry days had returned, we mostly had to track him down and ask repeatedly when he'd be back, and rather than come as promised, Brock either would not show up or give us a series of explanations including how busy he was on other projects he'd since taken on, which was a very different story than what he'd told us originally when making the case to be paid before finishing. Many, many times throughout the summer we were led to believe he was finally coming, which meant we needed to stop watering plants near the fence for several days and notify our neighbors to do he same, and still he didn't show up. This process got old and wore down his credibility. He did come at times when he was sick, but we would have preferred if, given such a long delay, his time or priorities had been managed better so that he wasn't under such pressure to finish our project by working in darkness or when he was sick. Over the course of a year, for a one-week project, it seems it could have been completed under better conditions for himself as well as for us. We lost trust that he would ever complete the project and the experience of dealing all summer with a series of unfulfilled promises and no-shows was beyond frustrating. Finally, as the summer weather ended and there were few chances remaining to get this work done, Brock worked into the darkness and did finish the job that we'd paid for one year before.

Our upstairs shower pan failed and started to leak through the floor into our kitchen below. I sent Victor a few pictures and some measurements, and he came back a few days later with a project plan, timeline, and estimate. He knew EXACTLY what the problem was, knew exactly how to address it, and tailored his plan with laser accuracy. During the lead up to the project, during, and afterwards, he stayed in constant communication, and was always available to answer questions. The end result looks amazing and we couldn't be happier with the result. (I won't add a 'before' picture because our old shower was something of a nightmare.) Victor came in on time, on budget, and suffice to say, our new shower is amazing from top to bottom. On top of this, Victor, Evan, and all of the subcontractors were extremely personable and professional. I can't recommend Victor highly enough.

He was direct, clear, and able to give us a quote through pictures. He was patient over the time it took for us to decide on tile and other aspects of the project. The wall behind our original tile was waterlogged and leaking to the external wall, a whole replacement job was needed. We had an annoying sliding door that we wanted remove. Victor explained what steps needed to happen, and what was possible. When job time came, the crew put in clearly articulated and consistent work-days. We are very happy with the new bathroom, and impressed with the whole service experience.

I was impressed with Emili almost immediately due to his desire to have a deeper conversation to ensure he had the right level of detail to give me an accurate quote. I did drive to a couple of their past jobs to review their work and saw immediately the level of quality they provide. The job was completed on time, the team was punctual and diligent every day they were onsite. Also, I was grateful for the willingness to adapt a few things while the project was already in progress and some creativity applied to solve a minor issue on the morning of the pour. It's now a couple days later and I'm looking at the new driveway with a lot of pride -- I'm very glad I worked with Emili and the EK team on this project. Highly recommended!

We have been nice enough to give him 3+ months to pay us back, but he stopped responding to our calls and texts.
