These guys are AWESOME! I recently moved into a rental house in SE Portland where the previous tenants had *not-so-well-trained* dogs, and the whole house had stains and reeked of dog urine. Since the landlord didn't see fit to have it taken care of prior to my move-in date, I had to take matters into my own hands, and FAST. After searching on the internet for carpet cleaning companies, I decided to try to keep it local and not go "corporate" and take a chance with these guys. Boy was it worth it! I especially appreciate that they're a continual sponsor of the Oregon Humane Society. Tony, the owner of Evergreen, was EXTREMELY professional and came on VERY short notice. He did an AMAZING job on the carpet and took special care to pre-treat, treat and treat the carpet again where the worst of the stains were. He and his assistant got right to work as soon as they arrived, and boy did they not disappoint. They left the house with clean carpets and smelling great - I LOVE the citrus and enzyme carpet deodorizer they used when they were all done, too. The cost was VERY reasonable, especially considering how poor a shape the carpet was in to begin with. They came in lower than the corporate competitor's on-line estimate, and it was a great way to support a local business on top of it! Tony cleaned our stairs and second floor carpets today and I will definitely be calling again next time we need our carpets cleaned. Had them come out to clean 2 couches,they scheduled us for Sunday morning which not many companies work weekends much less Sunday. They 2 couches were very dirty as the dogs had been all over them. I had the best carpet cleaning from Evergreen. I have a big dog who started "marking" his territory when I got a roommate with a male dog. My carpets were pretty badly soiled in a lot places in my home. Tony pre-treated the carpet and was able to get the smell and stains out. Based on the other reviews, we decided to give Evergreen a try. We've never had the same carpet cleaners back for a second service, which we let Tony know right away. Let me say, we will most likely never call anyone else now. We are so pleased with the service we received and our 25 year old nearly white carpets look amazing. We don't wear our shoes in the house so you would think that they wouldn't get dirty, but we live in the country and we had a very geriatric dog - need I say more. Something I can't say about the other 10 businesses I called for the job that Tony @ Evergreen ended up getting. Watching him work was even more impressive. Yes, Tony is a very likeable person and did mostly good work, but I am 82 years old and have to get on my hands and knees to clean what he didn't do. The carpet edges against the molding never touched, so I have a dark ring around my rooms. most companies I have used in the past have a small wan they use for this problem. The TV and stand were not moved so no cleaning was done under the overhang of the stand, his unit to large to get under it....another place others have used a wan to reach these places.
