Fix the problem - compensate us correctly and stop trying to fight us and threaten us every chance you get. I did not have a good experience with Window Design Group and I would never use them again. I ordered shutters and although the shutters are of good quality, their customer service is horrible. They have poorly trained installers and poorly trained people who do the final measurements. The windows were installed correctly, but the double door has been nothing but a problem for months and still is not resolved. They measured incorrectly so that my hardware doesn't fit and the installer was clueless. It's hard to get anyone on the phone to address my problems. And they don't get back you in a reasonable amount of time. Beware of bad customer service once they have your deposit! read more

We had sent this complaint to Window Design Group earlier this week and they responded back that they'll discuss this issue with the installer manager & Arthur, so other customers won't experience this also. We appreciated the prompt response and trust that they will do as promised. We feel it's important to still post this so everyone will be aware of what had happened and how to avoid or handle it well. To Whom It May Concern: We are writing to first say that we've been very satisfied with our blinds so far. They are of good quality and we appreciate that the Window Design Group scheduled to have two of the blinds replaced when we had asked. But we want to bring up an issue regarding a worker who had installed our blinds. When the windows were installed on Tuesday, September 17th, we asked the workers after if they could put the old blinds back since the new blinds were scheduled to be installed 3 weeks later. It was for safety. Without the blinds, you could see inside the house from outside. We were not comfortable with that and decided to have the old blinds put back until the new ones came in. Arthur arrived to our house on September 24th and from the first moment, my mother did not have a good experience with him. He was very rude. He came to our house, looked at the old blinds and said gruffly "Why are these up?". My mom explained why and then he went to work. But his voice was not pleasant. He seemed annoyed about something that to us was just common sense. The second time he came to replace the "bent blinds" on Thursday, November 7th, he walked over to where they were and asked what was wrong with them. My mother explained (which we had already explained in great detail with the Window Design representatives) that they were clearly bent and were hard to open and close. After Arthur installed the new blinds, our mother asked if it would be possible to remove the old blinds from an upstairs window, located in the stairway. Of course if he couldn't, he could just say it and our mother would have been fine. But Arthur rudely said that it was not his job, that "if you want me to do it, you have to pay me". He complained that he had to bring the ladder inside and that he was an independent worker, not part of Window Design Group. He was annoyed by this simple request. We were surprised by the unnecessary attitude from a "professional". He gave her the paper to sign and just walked away, leaving my mother feeling confused and quite honestly, disrespected. We were very disappointed and shocked to hear how he handled the issue. He spoke rudely not just once, but twice. We did not have a good experience with Arthur. If he will continue with your company, further train him in good customer service. read more

This is NOT the company to hire if your looking to install new windows. First a visit for design, then another for measuring then, an 8wk wait to custom make the windows. Excited when the day arrived to finally have them installed! BUT... upon leaving and then thoroughly checking the windows, they left them 'dirty' as 'they', "are not meant to wipe them down after?! I would suggest installing with clean gloves then. The rollers on the bottom of windows are leaving a black 'trail' along it. And with all the 'scrapings' of metal left behind making more of a mess that I needed to vacuum and wipe out myself?! The windows do not open and close easily. One doesnt even lock properly. There are marks and one is scuffed with some rough residue that will not come off! It is not smooth and clear?! Screens had mulitple tears. A frame was chipped, the insides of the windows are Messy and filled with window cuttings and other debris that i have no idea of what?! The slider part of a large window was cut weird and left sharp and this same window was not leveled properly so it sags in the middle. These are NOT worth the 1000s of $ were spending on them. With these issues we were told we needed to wait for an inspection. Happened to be the same guy who measured. They are not courteous people. They should be more apologetic and helpful coming into my home! But they were just full of excuses. Then to be told a few days later that they would be replacing the windows, with another almost 6wks of wait time! Ok! When they came back to reinstall, firstly, 'they' give 2hr 'windows of arrival' with EVERY appointment they make. We were given an 8-10am Arrival. And were told we were the 1st appt of the day. At 9:53 they finally arrived. And learned that we were in fact NOT the 1st appt at all! My husband has a very demanding job and is unable to 'wait around' like this... anyhow he suggested 'they' check the windows first before installing-just in case. They arrived one window short, and removed bedroom #1, then found the replacement window to be broken!! Wtf?! So they reinserted the already removed window and left it a mess and did not bother to reseal or reframe it!! Now with almost another hour of 'lost time' my husband simply asked them to leave the larger kitchen window in the garage as he had no more time and very urgently needed to get back to his job site. So were now 5 visits in 6months with 2hr 'arrival times' given on every appointment- thats already 10hrs of 'wasted' time, then to include the 3hrs of actual installing, or 1 of not installing..and weve lost 13hrs of LIFE. Plus the 1.5hr i originally spent cleaning the newly installed windows AND then sweeping a mess they left that covered the entire driveway that first time!! With unsatisfactory work and 1000s of $s lost so far. I no longer want these unreliable people working in my home! They are unreasonable and not at all flexible with all these appointment schedulings. PLEASE!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR!!! WORK WITH ANOTHER WINDOW COMPANY!! read more

I requested for someone to come out to my home to see if my window shades only need their batteries changed or if there's something else wrong with them. I was instructed to email a video of the window shades and shortly after sending it, I received an email my video was sent to their "support staff" for review. I didn't hear from them again. I called them yesterday, Aug 4th, for a follow up since the last correspondence from them was 2 weeks ago. Because of the "inconvenience" of waiting 2 weeks without a follow up, their customer service told me they can send someone to come in today, Saturday, August 5th between 10am-12 noon. I paid the $175 service fee over the phone and the appointment was made for Arthur to come by this morning. I've put everything on hold, cancelled a few appointments waiting for this Arthur to arrive. It is now 12:35 pm and no Arthur. I called their customer service number and all they did was take my name and address and told me they're sending my complaint to their repairs department. What good is that going to do?!! Some things never change. Their customer service is beyond awful! I want my money back from the service fee! read more

From the beginning January 2020, Chris did a fabulous job detailing all of our options for our two story Irvine, CA home. We selected the plantation shutters for our 30 windows and a few were interior window frame installed (around custom window frames) and most were around the windows and glass doors. Chris brought out samples for us to choose from and from beginning to end he covered all of the details and provided extremely competitive pricing, (best we found). THEY LIE and sell you something and then when you get a defective product they blame it on the manufacturer and won't do anything to fix it except to ask you for more money to buy something else. THEY HAVE NO OFFICE so you cannot see anyone in person - if you call customer service you JUST GET THE RUN AROUND and AROUND and AROUND. They tell you to write in your issue and then that just comes back with some terrible response that is unclear and the only solution they offer is to spend thousands of more dollars with them. WDG = WORST DAMN GROUP of people to work with Do NOT do business with this company or you will regret it. We started a $20k+ project with them in December 2020 and today is October 6, 2021. It took a BBB complaint to get them to install our sliding doors last week. Our project is on standstill now because WDG cannot provide the permits and plans for the city inspection. Installation looks like crap. Did they hire the workers from Home Depot parking lot? What the hell! WDG illegally withdrew over $11k from our banking account this morning without asking for our permission! What happened to pay in full when the job is 100% completed? We filed a fraudulent claim with our bank to put a stop to the payment. This company looks like a total SCAM. They pretend to care about your business, but once they have your money - good luck communicating with them about any progress or issues. It took almost a year to order our sliding doors when the WDG representative told us that it would take 6-8 weeks to complete the job. LOL! After reading everyone's reviews - I have lost all faith in WDG. We should have done our research. This company and its representatives have no shame in lying and stealing from its customers. We are kind of stuck with an incomplete sliding doors. City inspector refused to inspect the half-ass incomplete job because there are no permits and plans to look at since WDG did not provide anything. A complete mess. Do NOT do business with WDG or you'll end up writing your own negative review like I am doing right now! October 11, 2021, permits and plans were finally provided. Inspector came and of course, FAILED - not in compliance with building code. They torn the whole thing down and we're back to square one. My house has been a mess but WDG is trying to fix the problem. WDG reinstalled the sliding doors. Inspection passed. We were hoping to get the project done within the next day or so, but that was wishful thinking. Since WDG already took their final $11k payment from our bank account before the project has been completed, they are in no rush to complete the job for us. We would have to wait until the end of October before they will come back and work on the sliding doors. Our project is just an incomplete eyesore. Nothing we can do.
