We had Mason come out last year to give us a quote on Milgard windows. He beat the competition, and the crew did a good job with the installation. (They could've done a little better on clean up, but it was okay). Just had Mason give us a quote for the other third of the house. It was what we had expected, so I went down to their office and signed the paperwork and gave him a 50% deposit. You can save 3% if you pay by check instead of a credit card. Don't be turned off by their small office... they do a great job! We'll be back for the final section of our house (kitchen), when that time comes. I called and inquired about a replacement window. Mason came to the house and measured and showed me options. He never pressured me to buy something I did not need. I had a price in my head on how much it should be and Mason quoted me that price. I was very happy that he was not over pricing a window. I live next to a freeway so the noise level was high. First off we are coming up one year on our window installation in our condo. We were under the impression that everything was done satisfactory until recently. Mason was our sales representative and he was fantastic to deal with. Like the previous reviews said he was not pushy and actually extremely nice. Immediately following the installation we noticed that there was one area in the master bedroom not sealed and we notified Mason and he had someone out to fix this once the rain stopped. Recently, they painted our building and prior to this power washed the exterior. Upon inspection we noticed that the sliding doors were never sealed and therefore water came in and leaked through the window and ruined the molding around the doors on both doors that were replaced. I think this review is more geared toward the installers rather than the service we received from mason. It's extremely disheartening to pay a lot of money for something to be done only to realize that corners were cut along the way and inevitably were left now picking up the pieces. Update-I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism and follow up immediately following my previous review. Mason Brenner, our contact person, provided outstanding service from beginning to end. On the day he came for an estimate, he arrived promptly, brought actual operating window samples with him, listened to our needs, and answered all of our questions. He was very pleasant and professional and emailed us a complete detailed written estimate, reasonably priced, the very next day. He quickly responded to all further email inquiries we sent him. Other window contractors we subsequently interviewed did not display the reliability, efficiency, nor professionalism that Mason did. When we decided to hire Window XChange, Mason came for final measurements and paperwork, and we were given a delivery date. The windows were delivered to us on the date promised and installed the very next day. The installers, Brandon and Mark, were also very prompt, pleasant, and professional and did an outstanding job. They tended to every detail and made sure the windows were spotless before they left. I found Window XChange by searching for local Window companies in Santa Clarita. I then read these Yelp reviews and decided to give them a call. I had also been " shopping " around by checking advertisements and what not so I had a price in my mind as to how much it should cost. Mason came over and gave me an estimate for my Patio door and one window ( The front area of my Condo ). He quoted me a price that was right on par with " advertisements " I receive in the mail. So based on that and these Yelp reviews I signed on the dotted line. He ordered my windows and let me set an installation date based on when the windows would arrive. On the that day Brandon and Brian showed up at the agreed upon time like two bees with their marching orders! They worked together like a well oiled machine. They bantered back and forth with each other buzzing around getting the job done. It was like magic! But I would have to wait to see the finished product before I got too excited. Well, the door and window are MAGICAL !! I only ordered the budget friendly Milgard Skyline door and window, but they made them look upscale. The fit and finish is amazing. One of them even joked to me how the neighbor's window right above my window was caulked in with a "big toe " ! Not mine, they did it with laser beam accuracy! Also, you would think there would be SOME kind of evidence that a window and patio door was just installed like a little piece of stucco or drywall missing or something.. well nothing! On the inside of the Patio door the fit and finish is wonderful. As an example, the cable company had wired their ugly cable along my floor right in front of the patio door and they somehow got it under the trim piece of the door with precision and now it looks like it belongs there. ( Any other installer could have just said they couldn't do anything about it and left it in front of the door ! ) . I went from single paned windows to the lowest price point double paned windows and the highway noise outside is now cut in half! If you want a higher noise protection then I might suggest you go with a thicker window. ( Mason will explain it to you like he did me.. ) Sorry for the long review, I hope this helps. I didn't expect to be so happy with windows for god's sake! But I am... When someone EXCEEDS your expectations like Window XChange did for me, I felt I just had to let you know!
