I called SCV Glassworks and first spoke to Eric and then to Andrew. The first response from Andrew was that they would replace the windows only if we purchased them "within the last year or so." I reminded him of the "Lifetime Warranty," and then Andrew said we had to file our request with Milgard. I pointed out that we purchased the windows from SCV Glassworks, and they hold themselves out as a "Milgard Certified Dealer." Andrew then changed his story and said he'd file a warranty request to Milgard to have the windows replaced. Andrew requested that I photograph the window frame and send it to him since it contained all the warranty information he needed. I forwarded the photographic information, and he confirmed receiving all the information he needed. He said he would put in a warranty request for me. After three weeks, I heard nothing, so I sent a text to Andrew asking for an update on my warranty request. He responded that he'll check with the manufacturer, Milgard, to determine the status of my warranty repair. He'd let me know as soon as he hears from Milgard. Two weeks went by, and not a word from SCV Glassworks, so today I decided to call Milgard myself. I reached Milgard's warranty department, and they advised that they had no warranty request from SCV Glassworks. Alexander, in Milgard's Customer Service Department, advised that it was best for me to just file my own warrant request through his department. Alexander asked that I forward the photographic information of the two windows to be replaced. I sent the information to Alexander, and in less than an hour, he confirmed receipt of my information, confirmed the warranty, and scheduled the window replacement. The Bottom Line: Milgard windows are great, and their service department is the best I've ever experienced. Kudos to Andrew in Milgard's Customer Service Department in Simi Valley. SCV Glassworks: First, a denial of a warranty, then a claim that they filed a warranty request when they had not, and no follow-up whatsoever. Their "service" was the worst.

The demolition andinstallation team of Jose, Gabriel and Jairo could not have done a better job! They were timely, efficient and professional. They demolished the shower and tub one day and took away all the debris. Then, the next day, they built the frame and installed the new walk in shower exactly as we requested. They were pleasant to have on our property and we're considerate in where they set up their workstation and parked their trucks. We did have a challenge posed by the installation day with company coming to visit us... And they worked out a mutually agreed upon date that met our needs. We were very impressed with the efficiency and installation of their product. Nine years later, these vinyl sliding doors have had no issues, aside from tightening the handles once. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive option during our research, but they've proven to be reliable and well worth the cost. We asked for a quote from My WIndow Solutions, got one that was quite good. We had explained the rationale for getting a replacement window (the leak). Parry sent over his crew right away to caulk around the existing one so we wouldn't get any incursion while waiting for the new one to arrive and get installed. Nice! For this job, I had also asked to have a custom window casing and deep windowsill built. We agreed that I'd buy the materials (a particular trim profile and hardwood species), prime them, and they'd do the cutting and installation. This collaboration worked perfectly.
