The ambiance here is awesome in the evening, we strolled in after eating dinner a few blocks away. The bar was empty which nice because it was six of us and they only have 7 seats. Our bartender was really cool, she just moved to Palm Springs from Santa Monica about six months and didn't like the heat so much haha. The drinks here are excellent, I mean really good! It's take about 5 minutes to make one of the specialty cocktails so be prepared to a wait a second. I was a bit surprised at the amount of dogs that we saw at the hotel for a second I thought we had stopped at a doozie day care. We are dog lovers and have a pup ourselves but it was a bit odd to see so many dogs in such a nice hotel. I loved the drinks here though and most definitely will come back next time we are in the area. back again.

Great place to have a nice drink . If you are staying at the hotel or just passing through, this bar is a relaxing place for a pit stop . Wet your whistle with one of their cocktails or enjoy a nice Chardonnay like I tend to do . The hotel is dog friendly which means Yes! I went and got a drink with my dog ! They brought him a water bowl and he got petted by some of the other patrons . This was absolutely a huge win for me and my canine . If nothing more than just to people watch and sit with my dog I would return here for another drink on a night out in Palm Springs .

We weren't even staying at the Rowan and we had the best time with James the bar tender we never left! Our next trip out to PS will definitely be at the Rowan. We had the best drinks masterfully crafted by James - and that is saying a lot because my husband is a bit of a "mixologist" himself. Instead of eating at the restaurant we decided to order our dinner at the bar where James kept our drinks flowing!

The Window Bar is in the corner of the living room (lobby to people who don't frequent Kimpton hotels) at the Kimpton Rowan Hotel. Our bartender, Bryan made some amazing drinks. You can grab a seat at the bar or one of the many comfortable chairs or couches near by. If you are chilly, pull up a seat next to the fireplace. I highly recommend you come here for a drink then spend the night at the Rowan.

Gorgeous views of the mountains - perfect for sunset. Cozy lounge off the lobby, with mid-century style, a nice fireplace, and comfortable seating. Tasty little bites (we had a fantastic chop salad and crab pasta, along with a fun take on bar nuts). Well-conceived cocktails, and a really great spirits list (especially thoughtful whiskey selection). We almost stayed at the Kimpton on this trip, and opted not to at the last minute - our experience at this bar makes us wish we had, just so we could have spent more time here.

All were good, but we couldn't stop thinking about the excellent drinks and experience we had at Bootlegger. A few weekends ago, we were just about to head to Tiki Oasis in San Diego, but we called an audible and decided to make an impromptu trip back to Palm Springs just to visit Bootlegger again. As luck would have it, the same bartenders from our first visit (John and Dave) were there. Our first experience was not a fluke. Again, we had a series of delicious cocktails -- five in total, and none dipped in quality. Plus, John and Dave were welcoming, fun, and friendly. Out of the 30+ tiki bars we've visited, we'd rank Bootlegger in our top three. Highly recommend. We're already planning our next trip back.

It is ideal for catching up with friends, starting off a night out, or enjoying a relaxed evening drink. Beyond the fantastic ambiance, the service is top-notch. The staff and bartenders are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. After waiting around 20 minutes, I decided to just grab a seat at the bar, and I'm actually glad I did. There was no wait, and even though the restaurant was packed, my food came out really fast. Jon was my primary server. He was polite but was not attentive, I didn't feel like we connected much during the meal. The front staff was very friendly, though, and helped me with some recommendations. I ordered the guacamole with chips and salsa, fried whole jalapeño, chile relleno, and rice and beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well seasoned. The guacamole was really good, the rice and beans had a lot of flavor, and the fried jalapeño with the habanero sauce had just the right amount of heat. If you like spicy food, I'd definitely recommend trying it. The chile relleno was recommended by Alvaro, and he told me it reminds him of his grandma whenever he eats it. I really liked hearing that because it made the recommendation feel personal, and he was absolutely right, it was delicious. Huge shoutout to Alvaro. He wasn't even my primary server, but he kept an eye on me, checked in, helped with recommendations, and made sure everyone around the bar was taken care of. He was just genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, and that stood out to me. For dessert, I tried the Pan de Elote for the first time, again on Alvaro's recommendation. I had never tried it before, but trust me, hands down, it was really good. I'm glad he convinced me to give it a try because it was the perfect way to finish the meal. The kitchen deserves a shoutout too. Everything came out cooked well and looked great. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has both indoor and outdoor seating, and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. I've been to a few highly rated places around Palm Springs that looked great on paper but didn't quite live up to the reviews, so it was nice to finally have a meal that actually delivered. Good food, good atmosphere, and genuinely nice people. Alvaro definitely made the experience more memorable!!!!

We honestly felt like we paid full size prices for kid size meals and left still hungry. We had another appointment immediately afterward, so we didn't have time to order anything else, which made it even more disappointing. We've been to the Azusa location, and the difference in portion sizes is surprising! The servings there are easily 2-3 times the amount. For what we paid in Palm Springs, we definitely expected more. The food itself was enjoyable, but the value and portion sizes really missed the mark for us.

Paul greeted us himself when we arrived and gave us a realistic idea of the wait, which we really appreciated. It felt less like being processed through a host stand and more like being welcomed in. While we waited, one of the servers came over to see if we wanted to start with drinks. Naturally, we said yes. Once we were seated, everyone at the table had the same reaction to the portions: pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Steak Frites, and my steak was cooked exactly how I asked for it. One friend had the rack of lamb, while another ordered the clams, which came in a generous bowl with toasted bread for soaking up the broth. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices felt pretty reasonable for Palm Springs. Then there were the cocktails. We ordered a round. Then another. At some point, all of us quietly abandoned the idea that we were only having one or two drinks. They were that good. Paul came by later to check on us, and somehow we ended up hearing stories from his Studio 54 days. His sense of humor is sharp, and he has a way of making conversation feel effortless. Dinner basically turned into story time, and none of us wanted him to leave. He even checked in with us again after dinner. We seriously could have listened to him all night. That was what made the evening for me. The food was excellent, the cocktails were good enough to convince us into a few extra rounds, and the room has plenty of personality on its own. Paul's warmth and humor made the whole experience feel personal in a way you don't come across very often. My friend may have been the one campaigning to come here, but by the end of dinner, he had successfully converted the entire table. We're definitely coming back!
