Love to be "high" on life...So, sitting at this rooftop bar located at the Rowan Hotel in Palm Springs on a sunny afternoon was fabulous! There is a pool a few feet away which looked very inviting...Instead I sipped on a refreshing Hugo Spritzer which was perfect in the desert heat. I shared some hot crunchy shoes string fries and chicken tenders while enjoying the view! They were tasty! *Plenty of tables, great view of the mountains, and lots of sunshine so make sure you put on your spf. Our server Fatema was very sweet and helpful. *No Happy Hour here

First time here. Great experience! Best views in Palm Springs. Excellent friendly service. They have a small bar food menu and the food was hot and tasty. They have happy hour during the week. Very extensive bar list. Be back soon!

Came on a Monday night. They had the game playing on the couple TVs they had. Nice menu with late night bites. Drinks were tasty. Felt like the peppers could have maybe cooked more or charred more. This is on the roof where the pool is at the kimpton rowan. There was barely anyone there. Good service. It was dark so couldn't see the nice views

High above downtown Palm Springs is truly a bar with a VIEW! Take an escalator to the roof of the Kimpton Rowan and discover a pool bar to remember. The menu is cute and to be honest i would never come for food, but this is the place to stop and have a drink. Best for reconnecting with friends in an elevated (pun intended) pool bar experience. I appreciate how kind and helpful all of the staff have been every time i have visited. It's not too noisy and a great for a small group where you would rather enjoy a view and conversation that doesn't require you to yell. I haven't been here too much during the day but definitely stop by at night or for sunset drinks! Escape the strip and enjoy the view at one of my favorite little spots. Bonus! They can do mocktail versions of all their cocktails!

My friends came to visit from LA, and on a walk We stumbled upon this bar. You take an elevator to get to it. Right after the elevator you're greeted by security. One side is a pool!! The other side is a bar and seating area w/ a gorgeous view! There were kids at the pool. I thought that was kind of odd, kids at a pool/bar.. okay. The restroom was clean, but the sink set up was awkward. While washing your hands water got everywhere, unintentionally. The drinks were pricey, like $17+ we didn't get anything. Shortly after we arrived they had someone come to do live music. I told my friends if he was good, we would get a drink! Because I didn't want to get a drink and then he sucked and now I have to listen to finish my drink. Well he wasn't our cup of tea at all. So after he started we left, and so did a lot of other people, because we were all packed in the elevator.

This place is perfect for a nice cocktail and just relaxing at a rooftop bar/pool area. Part of the Rowan hotel, it's the top floor where it's part of the pool. The back area is where this bar sit. It overlooks the mountain which is a beautiful view. Also of the Marilyn statue. Plenty of table seating as well as the bar counter. We tend to just hand out at the bar area as it's always great chatting with everyone. Service is always great, staff and bartender are always fun and friendly. Drinks are great. They serve food as well but we normally just come for a drink and enjoy the view. It's always a nice stop for us when we're in town.

Came here for mid day drinks, they honored our requests to make something off menu and it came out fantastic. Frozen Rosé!!! On a hot summer day, perfect and refreshing. Mid day crowd is also light and intimate.

I remembered to look up and said,"Let's go the high bar" and enjoyed the sunset view while sipping a scarlet blossom concocted with vodka, ancho Reyes chile liquer, lime juice and hibiscus syrup. It is a winner and pretty, too. Located on the 7th floor, the outdoor bar overlooks the PS mountains and looks toward the pass, opposite the rooftop pool. The menu includes snacks and desserts, wine, and 12 dollar beers on tap, plus some inventive cocktails. Open from 10 am to 10:30 pm, there is a happy hour from 8:30 pm to 10:30. I need to remember to look up more often. It's definitely a nice vibe, a great view, with friendly service.

High Bar sits on the top of Kimpton Rowen Palm Springs Hotel. Wonderful views of the mountains and valley. Access (by non-guests) is by an elevator off the walkway near Il Corso. The rooftop bar is on the side of the hotel pool. Staff are friendly, professional, and attentive. The seating is varied, the high tops give the best views, but after dark, the couches have firepit warmth! The food menu is spare but adequate. A late night Happy Hour (0830p-1030p Tu-Thur) is of interest for late night revelers!

Good food. Good service. Crazy prices. Who gets their kid a $30 grilled cheese with a soda? They are super vigilant you don't bring in any outside food and it's not surprising given the prices. You are not permitted to even bring food from elsewhere in the hotel. They have security scouring the pool area to make sure you don't have any contraband: nuts, chips. Oh, and there is a kitchen service fee on the bill. As if, at their prices, they cannot afford to properly pay kitchen staff...

Great vibes, beautiful views, full bar. We loved our cocktails, and loved even more enjoying them with a great 360 view of the Palm Springs scenery. We had the Tuna Nachos which were tasty. Service was kind and quick.

Came here on a Friday evening around 725 to hopefully catch the sunset. Entered the hotel and ventured to the elevators to ride up to the rooftop. I went up, and a beautiful restaurant was on the way yo the rooftop. Since it was the end of July, it was hot out. There was plenty of seating, so I took a high top and sat. I ordered a lemon drop martini. The service was fast and courteous. My drink was really good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. asked for Tajin on the rim and it paired with the paradiso (highly recommend!). The shrimp tacos had super nicely grilled shrimp. Rowan Rita was solid too but liked the paradiso more. Seating is first come first serve. You can access the bar either through the main hotel lobby and taking the elevator or there's a side elevator in the alleyway with signs.

The drinks were strong and well-made, and even though the place was packed, our waitress stayed attentive and checked in with us consistently. It's clear they specialize in more elaborate cocktails, so a bit of a wait is understandable. The ambiance is also a highlight--dark, intimate, and really leans into the tiki vibe. **Night two** was the complete opposite. We accidentally mixed up our reservation time, but since the place was nearly empty, we were seated right away, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We had a different waitress, and despite being one of only a few parties there when we arrived, we waited **45 minutes** without seeing our drinks--while other groups seated after us were already being served (and even getting second rounds). We eventually had to flag down our waitress, who had hardly checked on us at all. When we asked about the delay, she said they were "very busy,". After mentioning how long we'd been waiting, there wasn't any real apology--just visible annoyance. She told us our drinks were "up next," but after another 20 minutes passed with nothing, we decided to leave after over an hour of waiting. It was disappointing, especially after such a positive first experience. A simple apology or some communication would have gone a long way. Sadly, the inconsistency makes it hard to know which version of this place you're going to get.

As we were leaving, a member of our group overheard Billy speaking negatively about us to another employee, including mocking someone in our group for needing glasses to read the menu and implying she was intoxicated (she wasn't). When this was addressed directly, he did not apologize and instead insisted we had overstayed, which is inaccurate. We ordered promptly after being told last call and left after finishing our drinks. We are locals who intentionally brought out-of-town guests here because we wanted them to have a great experience. It's disappointing that one staff member's conduct overshadowed what should have been a highlight of their visit. I won't assign motives, but I will note that Billy's demeanor noticeably shifted after the final member of our group, who happens to be Black, arrived. I cannot determine why, only that the change in tone was clear. Neil has created something special here. However, a venue's reputation ultimately depends on how guests are treated when ownership is not present. Based on this visit, there is a significant gap between the hospitality the owner provides and the service delivered in his absence. I hope Neil takes a close look at what happens when he's not present, because with the right staff, this could easily be a place we'd want to return to.
