Yaaaaaas! Took my cuzzos here as they wanted to experience an American Dragshow. Being the ally that I was, I went along with them. Here was my experience. AMBIANCE Parking: Street parking and plaza parking. You really shouldn't have any issues unless there's a major festival or something. Seating: Plenty of seating! I mainly saw inside seating from groups to bars. Vibes: You're pretty much in Downtown Palm Springs but also prime location for LGBTQ+ nightlife. The spot itself can be chill and not so chill depending on the events. Regardless, I felt welcomed and enjoyed the vibrant and fun energy. The drag brunch was great! The performers brought charisma, comedy, incredible costumes, with plenty of audience interaction. Whether it was your first drag brunch or your fiftieth, the energy made you feel included. DRINKS Mimosa (Recommend) Simple, refreshing, and exactly what you want during brunch. Light, bubbly, and easy to sip while cheering on the performers. CUSTOMER SERVICE Ongina was served as the MC and was great! The servers were pretty cool too. Good banter, pretty friendly and a good flow. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Walked in feeling great, walked out with duct tape residue on my shorts. Bold choice, Chill Bar. The good stuff first & there are many good things: strong drinks, a genuinely fun and friendly crowd, and a patio that's beautiful under the string lights at night. No complaints on vibe or service. But we need to talk about the furniture. I sat down on a booth that crackled like it was held together by a single roll of duct tape and sheer optimism. The patio chairs are in the same boat; wobbly stools held together by a prayer, and what looks like clearance-rack lawn furniture. This is Palm Springs, a town famous for its mid-century modern design, and the seating currently looks like it lost a fight with a garage sale. I'll absolutely keep coming back and recommending this place. The atmosphere and people are worth it, but the furniture needs an upgrade to match everything else this place has going for it. It's always a fun spot in Palm Springs. I tend to just hand out along arena district wherever I'm here for a drink and bar hopping. And I think there's only two places that's somewhat a club. This place and Hunters as they have a dance floor. I could be wrong with the others nearby but they seemed more like bars. The last few times I've been here, sometimes the back bar area is either open or closed. Could be that they're only open during the weekend for dancing and special event. Regardless, it's a fun little spot for a drink. Obviously, depending on when you visit determines the crowd. Mid week is mellow with locals there's for a drink. Weekend tends to bring loads of weekender out for a night of drinking and dancing. Bachelorette party's having the time of their lives. That's when the back bar area is open which they also have another bar there. Dancers are normally on stages shaking their money maker as well. They have two patio with the main one being right along the side of the bar. Back bar patio is smaller and I feel like it's where you would smoke. Decent size bar right when you walk in. Sometimes it's slow grabbing a drink but it's still a nice place. It's always a night out whenever we're here. read more

First visit to this "dance bar" which is in the heart of the gay area (Arenas Rd.) in downtown Palm Springs. We stopped in during Christmas week, and it was packed. Seemed to be more of a mixed age crowd than some other places on the street. Upon arrival, we walked the premises checking out the large front bar, and then into the back area which had the dance floor and a smaller bar. The three of us opted for a table out on the patio which provided the inside music as a background, so having a conversation was possible. The drinks were good and a little more reasonably priced than at our first stop. They had male go-go dancers around the main bar area, providing a little extra visual stimulation over all of the regular customers dancing in the back. All-male bar and wait staff the night of our visit. Overall, I enjoyed myself more than at our first stop, Hunters, which was across the street. I would definitely come back here again. read more

Good music, quick service drinks and great bartenders. The Gogo's are fun too! It does get a rowdy "straight" crowd at times and lots of bachelorette groups. Doesn't really feel like a "gay bar" much anymore. Used to come here a lot when we would visit PS. Had a lot of fun dancing. Lately, it feels like it has changed a bit with the folks coming in and the unfriendly patrons. So probably not coming back for awhile. read more

My husband and I (I am a female so we are a straight couple) absolutely LOVED Chill Bar in our night out in Palm Springs. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday and it was very chill (hence the name) and we were greeted by the bartender who got us our drinks right away. My Espresso Martini was less than $15 with tip which is a steal considering LA prices. We were able to watch the World Cup game which was a huge plus as we enjoyed our drinks. There is also a complimentary water station which is nice so you don't have to wait (and pay) for water. Around 9pm is when the back room opens which turns into an amazing nightclub! The music is awesome as there wasn't an empty dance floor which made good vibes all around. The male dancers are also a huge plus! Big shout out to DJ Redspace who got the party started! What's a Sunday afternoon in Palm Springs without a good, old-fashioned drag brunch? A day without sunshine perhaps. More like a day without eyeliner and mascara but never without concealer. Regardless Jamie W and I didn't have to face this conundrum because we ended up reserving a couple of spots for the Sunday brunch. What a delightfully appropriate name. Quite chill indeed. We were seated at the counter where we had a good vantage point for snapping the drag queens as they strut by. And what would be a drag brunch without $18 Bottomless Mimosas? Two please (Photo 9). They certainly weren't stingy with refills. We decided to share the $15 Belgian Waffles nicely prepared with fresh berries, chantilly cream, powdered sugar, and maple syrup (Photo 8). That was enough for us before the show started. The entertainment portion didn't disappoint, as there were five splendiferously dressed performers in constant rotation. We recognized at least a couple of them as veterans from The Abbey, our platinum standard for drag brunch nirvana. The show lasted a couple of hours, just enough time for the sparkling wine to kick in. A gay old time was had by all. Chill Bar is ALWAYS a vibe in Palm Springs. I was first introduced to it from their weekend drag shows. So so so fun and very intimate and enjoyable with great mix of famous queens and local queens. The bar itself is a good as well. They're open for a lot of the day, and is a good day drinking spot, though not always super busy in the day. At night, it gets packed and sometimes they open the dancing rooms in the back. We went during Pride and got to see gogo butts live and in color. I came in on May 28th to celebrate a friends birthday. I ordered a Mexican lollipop drink with the female bartender. I simply didn't like it, I figured I ordered the wrong drink with the wrong person. So I went to the other side of the bar and ordered a skinny margarita with the gentlemen in the hwy 111 hat. He just stared at me and then smiled. Made the drink, then asked about three times if I needed anything else. I said "no just the one drink for me". He then asked AGAIN "anything else" his tone was very condescending. I asked him if there's an issue because I have two drinks, he can keep my first one I don't want it, it's gross. I didn't ask him to remake the first drink or complain at all. I paid for the margarita and left. When I came back to order a second drink, he ignored me and my friend at the well so long that the female bartender came across the bar to take my order. I ordered the skinny margarita, she laughs, then points to the other bartender and says "he'll do that for you" and walks away. Now not only are they being lazy, they are being rude. I'm a local, I work ON ARENAS. I come in at least twice a week, always am polite, and always tip well. I work customer service everyday, never have I gave a customer attitude for ordering a standard drink at a bar. You're a bartender, your job is to make drinks. They just didn't want to make a drink that took more than 35 seconds. It wasn't a packed Saturday, I can read a room and he had time to do it, they both just simply are lazy. Do better. read more

I can't recommend sitting at the bar highly enough if you like your mimosa "endless". The bar staff is outstanding and you will never see your glass empty. I swear you take one sip and it is immediately refilled. The food is also very good, i got the breakfast sandwich and it is huge...and tasty. (It comes with a bag of chips...that is a little disappointing, but honestly i was full after the sandwich). Get ready for a great show as well...they bring the entertainment every time. What happened at this bar was completely unacceptable, especially for a place that advertises itself as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. I was here with my wife and a group of 10 LGBTQ friends to celebrate my birthday. While we were enjoying ourselves, my wife (who is masculine-presenting and a combat veteran) noticed some lights and was simply looking to see if there was another part of the bar we could check out. Out of nowhere, a short bar-back physically pushed her and said, "This area is closed." My wife remained calm and respectful. She looked at him and simply said, "Please don't touch me, sir." His response? "I can touch you if I want to." That is harassment and completely unprofessional. My wife does not even drink, and as a veteran, being shoved like that can be extremely triggering. She asked for respect, and instead he escalated. When we tried to leave calmly, I respectfully told him that people deserve words, not hands, and that no staff member should be putting their hands on guests. Instead of owning his mistake, he became even more disrespectful, misgendered my wife, and told her she was "about to get kicked out"!!! even though all she said was "please don't touch me." This was beyond rude, dangerous, and unacceptable. Ten of us left immediately, and Chill Bar has lost all of our business. To management: I urge you to review your cameras from that night. The way your staff behaved was not only unprofessional, it was harmful. Safe spaces should feel safe, this did not. Until real accountability is taken, I will never step foot in this establishment again, and I will make sure others know how unsafe and disrespectful this experience was. read more

The line was real every night over the weekend I was here, but worth it. Their music is a great mix of a lot from electronica synth pop to latin reggaeton and some serious bangers... So dancing is a yes. You can enjoy food (tres soyrizo tacos all day - hold the queso for me) as well as adult beverages, great djs, solid bartenders and live entertainers #DragIsNotACrime fun go-go's when they have those great movers and shakers. Good consistent deals throughout the week, and good themes. It's definitely the most all inclusive space in Palm Springs as well as on Arenas Rd. This is one of my favorite bars in the area. The music, dancers vibe and drinks are on point. One of the cheaper places to drink also. The drinks are stiffer with a cheaper price tag than the other bars. They also have first responder discounts, and daily specials that run all day not just 2 hours. This isn't your start the night and move on spot. It's a close the night with a bang or a come and stay all night kind of pace. read more

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Incident at Chill Bar Palm Springs - October 25, 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a deeply disturbing incident that occurred at Chill Bar Palm Springs on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM. After spending some time at Bunker, I arrived at Chill Bar and was on the dance floor. Due to back pain, I decided to sit on a platform/stage near the front of the dance floor, a location where I have routinely sat during my ten years of patronage without issue. A security personnel member approached me and demanded I move. Although confused, as this usually only occurs for scheduled entertainment, I complied. The individual offered no explanation and departed. A short while later, still experiencing back pain, I sat down in the same area to rest. The same security personnel member returned and began yelling at me to move. I attempted to explain that I was resting due to back pain and that I had always been permitted to sit there. However, as soon as I stated "no," the security guard became aggressive, yelling, "You are leaving now!!" He then forcibly removed my beer from my hand, throwing it to the floor. Subsequently, he physically grabbed me, placed me in a wrestling headlock, and dragged me through the entire bar before forcibly removing me from the premises. I was not intoxicated or disorderly, nor was I obstructing anyone. I was simply seeking a brief moment of rest due to a physical discomfort. The unprovoked physical assault and verbal abuse I experienced were entirely unacceptable. This incident has left me deeply shaken and questioning my safety and ability to return to an establishment I have frequented and enjoyed for over a decade. I am unsure if this was an isolated act by an employee with anger management issues or if it reflects a new policy at Chill Bar Palm Springs. I believe it is important to bring this matter to your attention so that others may be spared similar treatment, especially within our community and so close to Pride events. The name says it all, this is a "chill" bar! I love a clean bar, even better I love a bar that can actually make an old fashioned that doesn't taste and look like something served at a high school prom. I prefer outdoor seating, as long as it's comfortable and pleasant, this bar checks that box with a bonus, they also have a smoking section out there. Pull up a chair, have a well-made stiff drink with a stogie on the patio, that's how I like to end the day! read more
