This was my second experience with this company, and unfortunately both have been very negative. I was in an accident and needed a tow immediately. I called at about 1:45 p.m. for a flatbed tow, but when they arrived at 2:24 p.m., the truck already had another vehicle on it. They tried to do a wheel-lift tow instead--something they did to me previously that caused major damage (brakes, bearings, etc.), which turned into a very costly repair. I called back specifically requesting a flatbed tow, but they didn't show up again until 4:40 p.m.--nearly three hours later. When the driver, Rudy G., finally arrived, he said he couldn't tow the car to a house, only to their storage yard (which means extra $$$) or a body shop. My mechanic works out of his home shop, so this was completely unacceptable. It felt like a scam designed to force customers into spending more money. I ended up having to call AAA and complain just to get my vehicle towed to my personal mechanic. On top of all this, the driver was unprofessional and not courteous. This is, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever received. The lack of professionalism and communication from this company is astonishing, which is every bit of their 2.9-star rating. My issue began 9/17/25 at 5:40 PM, with a call for a tow. The first technician was professional and quickly diagnosed my car's dead battery. He called to send someone out who handles the batteries. His arrival time was for 7:18 PM. When the second, incredibly rude technician arrived, he looked at the battery but refused to remove the engine cover to check for the AAA sticker. He insisted that my battery was not from AAA and pretended to check his system, claiming it didn't show my battery was from AAA. When I stated I would not pay for a new battery since I was still under warranty, he began to argue, repeatedly insisting, "It's NOT a AAA battery." The conversation devolved into him saying "no you didn't" and me saying "yes I did" until I had to tell him to leave. After getting a live AAA representative on the phone, who confirmed my battery was indeed covered and it was Wind N Sea that put it in 11/2022, I was promised a technician with an arrival time of 8:14 PM. That technician never showed up, and the request was canceled. I placed another request, with an arrival time of 9:35 PM, and that call was also canceled by them. I finally gave up and had to jump-start my car myself to get it back into my garage. A technician showed up after 9:50 PM, after I had canceled, only to leave after I confirmed I wasn't paying for a battery. A representative from Wind N Sea call me after 10:00 PM, with a AAA rep on the line. The Wind N Sea rep asked, so "with all the technicians that came out, none checked for the sticker?" I said, "Correct." The rep then said someone was coming out. I told her, "No, not after 10 PM." The rep then stated I had just placed the call, I said no there were many request place since 5:40pm and the call was then disconnected. This entire experience was a complete waste of my time. The lack of basic respect, communication, and competence from Wind N Sea Towing is astonishing. They failed to perform a simple service and instead treated me with unbelievable disrespect, even in front of their own client's representative. read more

WARNING: Damaged my vehicle on video and avoided any contact after the incident I am writing this review because Wind and Sea completely ignored my attempts to resolve a damage claim having to escalate the matter to have AAA mediate on my behalf. ​During a tow on 11/29/25, the driver improperly positioned the winch chain, causing it to crush and distort the front lower bumper valence of my Chevrolet Avalanche as it was being pulled onto the flatbed. I have clear video footage of the incident occurring, showing the chain under tension directly damaging the vehicle's bodywork. ​I attempted to reach out multiple times to provide the video evidence and repair estimates, but the company was completely unresponsive. It is incredibly disappointing that a professional service would cause documented damage or even return a phone call after leverage attempts in contacting them. ​I would have prefered to settle this professionally, but their lack of response forced me to escalate this further through AAA since they subcontracted the service and they had to also tried several attempts to contact them. AAA eventually sent me a check for the damage after having to submit all the evidence along with the estimate. ​I STRONGLY advise others to look elsewhere if you value your vehicle's safety and want a company that stands behind their work. read more

Beware If AAA sends you to this company to get a tow, I would cancel and get somebody else. Their customer service is horrible. They put you on hold and all of a sudden you get disconnected. It took me about 45 minutes to get a straight answer not to mention six phone calls with Three disconnected. The dispatcher is rude and doesn't care about you whether it's 100° out or where you're at or what your situation is. They should just give you a straight answer if they cannot make it in a timely manner to give you a to nothing more and nothing less please do not use this company or you will find out the hard way. Came to the city of Yucaipa to watch a football game at my fiancés friends house and it had been raining, we unfortunately got lost and pulled into an apartment complex and got stuck in some mud so I called AAA and Wind N Sea got dispatched. AAA stated they would be here around 8:44pm and it was 6:15pm, I was like awe man. Anyway Louis called me at 6:32pm stating he was 5min away I was like awesome! This guy has the best driving skills I've seen. I called AAA for a tow and gave them all the information, including my phone number stating he must call me so I can give his name at the security gate. After an hour and a half, according to the app, he had arrived at my house, which was not true calling AAA they researched and said he got to the gate tried to call me, but no one answered so he left. I went to the gate to investigate. They definitely remembered him. He was told he could call me, and after a few choice words he left. They said he definitely did not make any phone calls and that if I wanted to, I could request security camera footage for proof. AAA dispatched this company to my residence for a battery replacement and the technician replaced my battery . After he left I realized that he damaged my quarter panel Instead of removing the battery mat cover the technician just folded it backwards which put a crease in the mat and damaged it. I then discovered that the stereo amplifier was loose and was not in the same position. I tried to use the stereo and then realized that the amplifier was not working and caused damage to the stereo system The battery that was in the car was still under warranty and I was charged full price and well and was charged a different insulation fee. I called the office and was given the run around and left my information and was never contacted again . Absolutely horrible service and even worse customer service. I specifically asked them to tow my car to my home -- but instead, they took it to their impound yard without permission, gave me no paperwork, and then tried to charge me to get it back. He told me that I needed the tow more than he needed the job, which was completely inappropriate. Instead of helping, he made the situation worse. He refused to take my car and became upset when I politely asked him not to lean on my vehicle. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I truly appreciate the services provided by AAA, and I find them to be very valuable. However, I wanted to express my concern regarding a service tow that I requested today at 9 AM. The estimated time of arrival was 11:45 AM, and while I was perfectly fine with waiting, it is now 4:56 PM and I have not yet received assistance. I noticed that the app frequently updates the ETA, which has created some confusion, as I saw it change from 5:06 PM to 3:50 PM and then back to 5:53 PM. I also attempted to reach out for an update and unfortunately was on hold for 56 minutes. After calling multiple times, I was informed that I would receive a callback shortly, but I have yet to receive any communication. I have noticed from others' experiences that this seems to be a common issue, and I sincerely hope that AAA can review this situation. WInd & Sea is AAA contracted - I scheduled a Tow at 8:04 AM, the ETA at the time was 9:58 AM it was updated to 9:21 AM and then to 10:36 AM then I got a call from AAA that at 11:52 AM because the call had not been fulfilled they indicated that they were "monitoring" the service call and Wind & Sea would arrive within the next 45 minutes. It is now 3:27, I received a call from a different tow company stating AAA reassigned the call after wind & sea cancelled. No call from Wind & Sea and the availability of the new company would make it so that the car arrives at the receiving shop after hours with no one to receive it. I suspect Wind & Sea would rather wait callers out into cancelling their service call so that AAA members cannot bash them on their survey. If AAA assigned your call to Wind & Sea have them reassign it unless you enjoy spending your day waiting for a company that doesn't have the courtesy to CALL and give an accurate ETA. read more

He not only had exceptional great customer service and conversation that took my mind completely off of the situation I was in, but he also went a step further to give me some tips on what the possible problem could be with my car, which turns out to be much cheaper than what I thought so basically I'm saying this is a great tow truck company. He is an excellent driver. He's really good at calming the situation, assessing the situation and getting you to your destination as quickly and safely as possible.
