I'm seriously disappointed in the employees/management. There are signs and announcements that masks must be worn in the store. However, the last 3 Sunday's I have gone shopping and found no less than 15 customers not abiding by the rule. Even my 4 year old wears a mask. I have asked employees who is enforcing it, they literally look at me like I'm crazy. Who is telling customers to get out or put a mask on? Their answer. "Um, they make the announcement." They are still shopping and allowed to purchase with cashier. Which means no one is enforcing it. It's a Perris ordinance that is posted at all registers. Do something about it. You wouldn't allow people to shop barefoot, so why is this different? Why bother making signs, posting signs or making announcement if no one does anything about idiots putting my family at risk. As it is, we will have a spike in positive cases because we are opening business up too soon. Markets should be held to higher standard, we go there for essentials not for fun. Put someone at the door, no masks no service. Period!!!!! read more

I love this store, our only option used to be Stater bros or Food For Less..but since Food 4 Less has no become a peddlers haven (Much like Walmart) I've found that Winco is convenient when you don't want to be bothered in the parking lot to buy tamales or donate money to something. The store is usually clean, and not packed to the gills with people. It's also 24 hours which is awesome because NOTHING except fast food is 24 hours in Perris. My wife & I moved to this area a little over 4 years ago. Home Depot is a few doors down so I came in to try it. We previously had always shopped at Stater Brothers but the prices at WINCO can't be beat. I always look at the prices and this place cant be beat. So you have to bag your own stuff. Everything is fresh because they do such volume, things don't stay around long. I have been to Albertson's when I've seen milk still on the shelf to be sold past the expiration date!! The date's you find here are fresher than everyone including Stater's. As an example of prices. We like the Newman's Own spaghetti sauce. The regular price at WINCO is a few pennies from the sale price at Stater Brothers and when it's on sale, YEAH BABY! It's not uncommon to find things right around a dollar cheaper than Stater's. The only thing II go to Stater Brothers for now is a seasoned salmon they usually have, but that's only the local store. Not all Stater Brothers have that even! Another little bonus is the pizza stand. A slice of pizza (that is about 1/4 of the whole pie) & a drink for around 3 bucks. It's a "law" when we go there we have to get a smoothie. The mocha & strawberry smoothies are good but when they have the strawberry/banana smoothie's I'm in heaven! Did I say they were cheap too? $.98 cents out the door. Can't be beat. Mickey D's smoothies don't come close & cost 3x as much. read more

Yes, I am reviewing WinCo, simply because I have to feed a household with seven people who eat like they've missed an entire week of meals. We go through groceries quickly and I've tried for years to keep our food costs down. When we moved to the area last summer, my mother-in-law offered to buy us a week's worth of groceries here. Honestly, judging by the name and first glance, I was initially hesitant. As we sifted through the store and the awesome bulk section, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and the prices. Most of the foods we buy on a regular basis were less expensive than other stores we'd shopped at. Our total bill -- for a cart full of goods -- was less than $150, whereas other stores easily cost us $200. We've shopped there ever since without major issues. The downsides, and reason for my 3 star rating, are: -Bagging your own groceries (which really isn't a big deal for most of us). -Some foods are unavailable or have very little options to choose from. -As amazing as bulk foods are, it's admittedly a bit unsanitary. -BUSY on weekends, even when we shop at 10 P.M.... best to go weekdays or Sunday nights. -Product availability and prices change quickly and drastically. Items we'd bought weekly for months disappeared without replacements, and things we'd purchased for, say $1, many times suddenly jumped to over $2 within a week's time. I still recommend this WinCo, especially for large families looking to save a few bucks. read more

I love this store. They have bulk item bins filled with candy, spices, nuts, cereal, pasta, pet food. The yogurt pretzels are to die for. Plus they have a pizza and sandwich place and the smoothies are only $0.98! How awesome is that? I wish they had stores like this in San Diego. Hey Winco, see if you can build it and I will come! Plus I know lots of people and will tell them to come too. This place is evil because they have such great prices. Gives even Wal-Mart a run for their money. Plus they have items in bulk too. They have bulk bins filled with candy, spices, nuts, cereal, pastas, which is why I love to come here when I am whipping up a new recipe. I can usually find the spices I am looking for and not have to spend a fortune on something I will probably never use again. You can bag a small amount or a large amount, which is really nice. I can usually find many items cheaper here than the other markets near me, and the produce and meats are fresh. I also like that the store is open 24 hrs, so you can come in later in the evening when it isn't so crowded. read more

This store is clean, and almost too well lit when coming in at 1am (after a hard day at work). It seems that there's always a large concentration of employees in one area in the early morning hours (stocking shelves), but they've been helpful directing me to locate products. The prices are Costco cheap, although Costco still holds its advantages at times. All in all, this is my go-to place when Costco, Trader Joes, or the Mediterranean produce store isn't convenient. Had the worst experience shopping here today. When I was checking out on register 5 and Holly H being the cashier was very rude and didn't even acknowledge my presence. She began to ring up my items, so I push my shopping cart to the end so I can begin to bag my groceries. Holly started to throw my items across the register. I walked back up towards her to ask her why she throwing my items. She stated, "My Allergies". I replied, "You didn't have to throw it and could have moved them down if it was a problem. That's very rude of you to be throwing things". She didn't even say anything back, so I just finished up bagging my things. When it was time for me to pay I went back to the register to put my ATM card in the machine. I saw ants and I backed up and I told her, "You have ants up here". She raised her left hand and slammed on the counter trying to kill the ants. I was in complete shock of what I was seeing. I stated, "that's so gross, you need to clean your register". Inexpensive groceries available 24/7. Don't mix the nuts and act like its a standard mix because some of these cashiers take their job serious and look for the macadamia or expensive nuts and start a riot. Just eat them while shopping so you can taste the good life. read more

Prices are great but watch the sell by dates. I just got a pack of gum that was 9 months expired although it's gum and not a huge deal I've seen meat and other highly perishable items expired on the shelf. Just be aware and save some money. read more

My hat is off to the pizza workers. Sorry I didn't get your name. Ordered a vegetarian pizza with no cheese as I cannot eat it. I asked if it was possible to buy a Daiya cheese in store and have placed on pizza for cook. Super nice guy, said sure, that it wasn't customary, but would do it. Pizza turned out and tasted great. Yesterday, I had an experience at Winco where I have been learning to budget shop and save money. The manager said I was fraudulent. I have seen the manager Rebeca be rude to other individuals before as I shop at this store. She was also rude to the lady behind me. I have served my country and now I'm fraudulent. There is nothing wrong with being wise with your money and don't allow people like Rebeca to come in and try to ruin your day! I am putting in a complaint and others who saw said they will also. Not enough handy capped parking! Almost got run over in parking lot. Obviously they do not like handy capped people coming to the perris store. I think they have two handy capped parking spaces! Other winco's have 18, 20 or more. Just plain bad business! They should just put a sign out asking the handy capped to shop somewhere else. read more

Mostly clean. The prices are far better than any other store we shop at. I'll walk out with an entire basket of groceries for our family of five for ~$100. Stater Bros. Would have been $150 and Target would have been $200. They don't have all the name brands but the food is good and that's why it is less expensive. We can easily feed our entire family for a month with great healthy food for breakfast, school lunches and family dinners at home for ~$600 a month. If you shop at midnight (yes, I sometimes do) you have to dodge pallets and stockers but that's because it's a 24 hour store and that's understandable. read more

I love winco. But this one? I was charged incorrectly for jumbo crab ($22 a pound) when I asked for 8 pounds of snow crab ($13 a pound ) and when I went back to have the problem corrected the lady at the customer service named Esmeralda didn't even know what she was talking about. To add on to that she Had a nasty attitude with my wife & the entire time, never once said sorry for the inconvenience ( me driving all the way back there & me having to start dinner late ). Then when the meat handler came to assure he messed up on the price he was also very rude about it like he didn't care that we had to do all this just cause he messed up on the label. He didn't apologize for his mistake either. Overall I got what I needed but the customer service here SUCKS and everyone especially Esmeralda and the Meat department guy , needs to fix their attitudes and make their paying customers feel more welcoming. Won't be returning to this location cause I refuse to give my money to places who treat people like caca. read more

I have been shopping at this store for 14 yrs. I was at the Perris, CA store at 5 a.m. today wearing a mask. While inside, I noticed many employees and customers not wearing a mask. There was a sign outside indicating that you must wear a mask. I contacted the manager and she called over the loudspeaker that "all employees and customers must wear a mask". When I go shopping at Stater Bros. or Vons there is someone at the front door making sure that all customers are wearing masks. I believe this should also be done at Winco. read more

Where can you go and buy a "Dozen" Grade AA Large Eggs for .79 Cents? Winco of course. They have ALL the major brands and generic brands for way less. Like 1/2 off the price the regular grocery stores. Always Clean isles and fully stocked shelves. A better shopping experience than any other market in the area. More selection than any other either. They are always open 24 hours so anytime is a good time to shop. Parking Lot is safe and clean. If you are scared to shop at night go during the daytime. It's the inland empire people. LOL I see other posts about being scared at night....people are scared at the grocery stores during the day. Some people just stay scared! LOL read more

Terrible sore. Prices are great for the most part I think it's just the team in general... The store has gotten really dirty over the past year. The cashiers generally don't look up at me and ask how we are our anything, they kinda have like an "I hate my job attitude"... Our that's how it seems when you have unfriendly service. Recently the produce dept has had mostly rotten fries and veggies, picked through avocados that were mostly moosh... Even leaked on my hands. And has happened with other produce too. Bags to bag them have been empty the past 3 x we've gone ... Which is normally not a biggie but it seems they're falling short ... Bought a reusable kuerig filter and stuff was missing from the package, went back to the store to get another and found that bits and pieces had been stolen from each pack, told a gentleman on the sales floor who apologized but insisted it wasn't his job to deal with stolen merchandize. Okaaay thanks. And then last night went to the deli and bought a pasta last night (seafood Alfredo) ... And it had weird watered down sauce and the noodles were hard. So it was pretty gross. Overall I've stated I will no longer be shopping here. Especially previously working in grocery... I feel this store has decided to stop giving fucks. 4 years ago I wouldve rated a 5 .... 24 Hour grocery store, whoops, I mean warehouse? Oh yeah ;) Ever since WinCo has opened up a few years back, it has been our go to! The bulk foods section is my favorite for sure! Long grain brown rice in huge tubs as much as you need usually no more than 40-50 Cents per Lb, they have all the flour, starches, mixes you could possibly need as well to bake any pastry, then a couple feet over they have the bulk dispensers with all the other goodies likes dried fruits, nuts and seeds, then the candy ones, so easy to get lost, just don't munch on too much people will Judge ;P Seriously though like when i need Fresh Pecans for a pecan pie, def. come to the dispenser where they are fresh, non packaged and cheaper than what is on the shelves ;) I am always happy as well with their Produce, they even have a little sections thats all organic and foreign so this market has items others does not for sure! Oh yeah, the fresh Almond Butter machines also? Yup, dispense yourself as much almonds as you need to grind out some of the best tasting Almond Butter you have ever tasted, forget about Peanut Butter ;) Their meat/seafood selection is not my favorite however, I am unsure if they sell any Angus Certified beef, so most of the meat that you get from them is rough like stater bros meat but their are a few finds, they do have Bison, Elk and all that gamey stuff as well:) And the Walk in Cooler with Beer :) My Fav! Not the biggest selection by far but their is some good craft brews in there at the perfect near frozen temp ready to drink ;) Oh yeah, and Winco does some of the best fried chicken around!! You have to try a 12 piece super cheap like $8 and some change better than KFC, Popeyes hands down!!!! Their bakery as wells puts out some fine creations! If you get there early enough, they bake Bagels daily and a Dozen is only $5 or so, my favorite is the Asiago Cheese/Jaapeno Bagel, oh man with some Jalepeno Cream cheese it's on for breakfast!! Check stands are usually the crazy part! For it seems there is usually 1% of the store with the 10 items or less, and half of those have Alcohol which then preclude them so these lines get clogged easily and fast! But hey, that's any grocery store nowadays right? Nothing new, just sit back and enjoy the ride ;P Overall clean store with great customer service, I would give 5 stars if the lines sped up, the beer selection grew, and if the quality of the meat/seafood increased.. read more
