There has been multiple occasions where we walked in and customers have been walking through the store with no mask on whatsoever. When brought to the attention of the employees and manager he says that we can't tell them to put their masks on because it would cause a safety issue for the employees. even when I told him you have a right to refuse service they won't tell them anything at all, so the people continue to do that because they know they can get away with it. then on top of that the employees themselves on numerous occasions as you can see from the photo we've caught with no mask on or improperly wearing them below their chin or below their nose. they don't care for your safety here at all. they lift up rugs from the floor and leave them on the water containers where you fill up your water they don't clean, they don't even have the sanitizer wipes for your cart when you walk in. I have to bring my own from my car. I've even grabbed a drink from the refrigerators by the registers and they're covered with black mold in the bottom of the fridge I had to tell them about it. read more

I am not a big fan of bulk stores but I like Winco. While it can be overwhelming and items not always easy to find, the prices are very good and selection is also good. We recently shopped here for Christmas dinner and we were able to find everything we needed at great prices! I even ventured into the bulk bin area and bought some granola and some coconut flour for baking. The produce department has a fantastic selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. My only complaint is the location of this store. It would be nice to have one of these closer to Menifee. This location is in Sun City/Perris area and its not fun to shop at night. It is in a tough part of town. I don't feel safe shopping there alone after dark. It would be great if they offered security or if they moved into Menifee area. read more

My son went into wincos to get pizza from their pizza department. My son gave the cashier two 10's. This cashier took both my sons 10s for an amount that was 6$.... after my son came back to the car and we left, I realized what had happened, and I called to resolve the issue. The cashier said that he was new, and he messed up and go back to get my change. I told the cashier Noah that I don't have time for mistakes because of being busy. I went in on another day, which is today, and the manager refused to give me my change and stated that there was nothing he could do. Maybe if they train their employees properly, I would not be in this situation. And I go for wincos pizza alot like every other week because of my oldest. I have been to this location 3 times. All three times I have encountered extremely rude staff and did not feel welcomed. One example really put me off to this place and it went as follows. I approached the deli counter to get some chicken wings and was approached by a woman who instantly had attitude with me. After requesting 30 bbq wings she then berated me for "taking all of her inventory." Because I felt nervous I changed my order to avoid confrontation. I will never come back here. Open 24 hours, which can be very convenient. Nobody there wearing a mask, which could be highly risky. Panhandler in parking lot. Very large market. Has a special kiosk for Asian food, manned by Japanese personnel. Plenty of parking available. No credit cards accepted! Cash or debit cards only. Look for their own store brands to save money. No coupons accepted. Located right off the I-215 Freeway, near Home Depot. Beware, frequented by many low life looking customers. They have their own bakery on the premises. Some items can be purchased in bulk. Personnel seem to be helpful. No home delivery of food. I go there often, mainly for the convenience and low prices. read more

I am super annoyed at the fact I just left Winco and I tried to do self check out because they had two registers open with at least 10 people in each line with full carts. When I went to self check out, the lady told me "this is the 15 item or less line "and I had 22 things in my cart more than half of them being couches of baby food and she wouldn't let me ring myself out. When they have a huge sign above self check out that says "about 15 items ". And not to mention, there was one person using self check out with not one other person waiting in line so that left five empty self checkout lines, and the lady would not let me check myself out. read more

Smart and Final + Super WalMart equates to impressive savings. We came in just to check Winco out, but somehow left will a full cart of groceries. No hype here, savings everywhere. I'm from San Diego where these discount stores are banned. Pretty good prices. Can find most things you need. Can't find good garlic here. They only have old and moldy garlic which is a serious bummer. Also the store is so warm on summer days that the candy bars are melted right at the cash register, not to mention trying to get them out to your vehicle. read more

I've been shopping at this Winco since it opened years ago. They have great prices on most stuff. I really love that I can buy local honey there, there's 3 different flavors. Also, if you're a big fan of sourdough bread, go to their deli section and try a loaf of the Sacramento Baking Company's Deli Style Thick Cut Sourdough Bread. It's the best! Only thing I'm not crazy about is the produce isn't always great and the steaks aren't good quality. read more

Its a upscale Food 4 Less. Not quite Ralphs and not quite Albertsons. There's a "Shoes & shirt requried" sign which I noticed on the way out. You stay classy IE. The produce is abundant and nothing is questionably moldy or soon to be rotten. (IE: ValuPlus or Food 4 Less) Tons of packaged food & snacks as well as canned. More than normal. I've never found 5 kinds of Oreos in a supermarket. I didn't even know peanut butter ones existed!! 3 mini aisles of bulk foods you can buy at your whim. Pet food, grains, pastas, almond butter, honey, candy, nuts, etc. I saw some guy using his hands instead of a shovel...so I'm a little bit taken back by what I thought was awesome. "Bulk; the natural way to buy" on all the bins sort of amuses me too. Isn't organic the natural way to buy? Meat is cheap and they have tons of family packs as well as different cuts of the same meat. Majority of their pork is Farmer Johns & not generic or some brand I never heard of. I always come to Winco for my groceries because they are very affordable. I tend to avoid other places because I know they will be more expensive than Winco's prices. They also offer water gallon refills which are always cheaper than other places. They constantly have deals on many items throughout the store. They have a pizza joint inside as well that sells really good pizza. It's a good drive away from me but it's well worth shopping here. read more

First off, y'all are raggedy af for not enforcing masks. I even saw a cashier not wearing a mask. Second of all, every time I've been here your cashiers do a weird search of my bag AT self check out and on another occasion after you already scanned the ID and verified the birthday, you then later asked for it again to check the "expiration" after you already finished processing it. I don't shop here regularly, but I decided to shop here today. I came with my teenage son, recently we were both diagnosed with anxiety (I won't get into the extent of anxiety) . Because of this I decided to get a emotional/service support dog. When we were checking out the manager told me that we couldn't have our dog in the store because he was not a "service" dog. I asked him who determines what a service animal is or isn't. He gave me a generalized "California Law" run down; where he mentions being a disabled veteran in order to have a service dog. Service dogs are NOT only for disabled veterans. They are for whom ever requires service due to a disability or for psychiatric purposes. I don't need to go around justifying my disability to anyone. I am currently disabled and my son and I both require a service/emotional support animal. I'm not happy with the way we were approached about our support companion. read more

I visited the Winco in Perris CA. today, i can honestly say that I have never seen a parking lot with so much trash strewn around. I said something to an employee who just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. On the way back to my car discarded masks, gloves and spo0iled food had joined the mix. This is the floor in the produce department of winco off case road in Perris California. My husband slipped about 3 weeks ago on grapes that were lying on the ground and did a complete split , hurt his back and knees . They are saying that they are investigating to make sure that there produce department was in compliance with their sweeps . I took these pictures 25 minutes after my husbands fall and it still wasn't cleaned up the same grape that he slipped on was still there! Everyone be careful when you walk around the store shopping be cautious when your walking this can happen to anyone. Seriously the manager today or should I say this afternoon is either blind or lazy. The floor was completely packed and no cashier and trip hazards( stocking store but not really stocking). I find their organic ground beef great and much less expensive than other stores. The store is always clean, with very friendly & helpful staff. The prices are great, and I have had no complaints. A few vegan items like Follow Your Heart sour cream, some tofu products, and a few plant based burgers/sausages. They've got Daiya (Day-uh) pizza in the freezer next to a few Amy's vegan products. I wish I could give a higher rating as I Really like Winco (huge aisles, bulk food, great prices...), however, there are 2 glaring issues that I have. Firstly, I just can't buy my meat from here. On two separate occasions the meat I bought was brought home only to find a pretty foul odor emanating from the meat. I'll purchase most anything else from Winco, just not their meat. Secondly, every time I go to Winco, I find opened packaging. Not opened by obviously parentless children, but slashed open with a box cutter. Employees should be a little more careful when opening boxes of goods. I can't imagine that wasting items is beneficial for their bottom line. On the plus side, as with other Wincos, you bag your own groceries at this location. I know a lot of people don't like to bag their own groceries, but I like to. That way I know it's done the way I want & I know which bag has which items when putting them away in the car. Also, Winco has the best fried chicken. Super cheap & tasty! :) read more

24 hour grocery store with low prices, all the time? Love it! Whenever we can't really figure out what to eat my friends and I often make a trip here to just go food shopping. I'd compare some of their prices to food at Wal Mart. But I feel like I like Winco's quality of fruits/ vegetables better. People that come here suck at parking. So if you're trying to get a spot close to the entrance I wish you luck. Carts are everywhere as well so you're better off parking a little farther. We moved to the area about four years ago and discovered Winco. This is not the closest grocery store to us, but we make the pilgrimage every couple of weeks because of: (1) great prices; (2) good selection and (3) outstanding bulk food section. I don't generally even think about reviewing grocery stores, but something happened today that made me think that these people deserve a bump. Yesterday I did some small shopping at the store and purchased, in addition to a bunch of groceries, two greeting cards. Cards are not cheap anymore, and the two that I selected were marked $4.99 and $7.99 - the discounted prices were $4.50 and $7.20. I had a couple of bags of groceries but did not want to place the cards in the bags because I did not want the cards damaged. So I put them on the child seat of the cart. That evening I realized that I did not have the cards. I went out and checked my car, but nothing, so I figured out that I had forgotten them in the cart - my bad luck. This morning I saw my receipt, remembered the cards, and decided to call the store to see if maybe someone had turned them in. (Right! Fat chance!) A lady named Denise answered the phone and I explained the situation to her. She checked, but the cards had not been turned in. She then told me that if I came back to the store with my receipt, she would replace the missing cards! I went back. She was in customer service. Her name tag said "Lead Cashier". She had me go get replacement cards, did the basic paperwork, and sent me on my way! So now, in addition to being a great place to get groceries, this store, and Denise in particular, have earned my respect and loyalty.
