This Winco in Perris is in a shopping center. It gets busy but the line to check out wasn't too bad. The prices are great, even better than Walmart. They have a great selection. Store is clean. Service is great at check out. Gentleman was funny. I just wish they took credit cards. I also don't like the fact that I'm bagging my own groceries. This is one massive store offering everything produce, proteins, frozen, dairy, home/housewares, even beer and spirits mixed drinks etc. Certain items in the bakery are made onsite and special order cakes are available. As with anything store bought, be sure to check packaging, expiration, and quality. FIRST TIME HERE AND I AM OFFICIALLY WINCOS BIGGEST FAN ! My husband and I expected a $150 grocery bill and it was only $66! Enough groceries to feed a family with 2 dinners! You'd expect the food to be low quality because of its prices , but it's not . It's literally a WIN(co) lol They have a crazy variety of food - EVEN CANDY AISLE. That blew my mind. Hands down one of my favorite stores and favorite location! This place has all you could need for a fraction of the price (most of the time) from other known grocery store retailers... especially with mergers going on. From can items to box items to everything in bulk! This is the place to shop. Sushi made fresh right in front of your eyes to the fresh deli salads. I paid $1.60 for a 1/2 pint of deviled egg potato salad, which was so amazing, I only shared a small bite! From fresh grab and go sandwiches under $3 to breakfast sandwiches with egg on croissant bread for under $4! I love the bulk section, picked up some coconut flour (all ingredients are labeled 8g carbs 5g fiber) for about $2.18lb, of course, the child picked up some candy to munch on later from the bulk. It's awesome to mix and match (same price, of course) the selection of candy! Also picked up a hand grinding snowcone machine for $12! Perfect for an upcoming bday party at the park! Staff is always helpful and nice! Especially those hard-working girls in the deli/hot food area as we picked up some chicken strips, fried chicken, and tamales (not as good as other places, but hubby still liked it!) The cashiers are rock stars because this place is always packed! Don't forget tour cash or debit cards.... this place doesn't accept credit, and don't forget it is the employee ran and owned!! Train your associates better. Husband goes to get me an electric cart and is told they are out of them. Associate at the front door tells me I can put my name on a list and there is a bench to sit and wait. I walk pInfully to the other side of the store to be told they don't do a list and the cart there needs to charge for 30 minutes. And the bench was full. Barely made it back to my car. Try moving the mobility carts to front. If I could walk back to customer service, I wouldn't need one. read more

Lots to like about this massive store! About 3 shopping trips in and the verdict is I really like this place. Staff is pleasant and responsive, I have yet to get brushed off. I like the selection, and although I cant always find items I like there is plenty to choose from. Plan on spending some time here, the place is huge and its a long walk to the back and about the same side to side. My mom went here and was shooed away from 2 registers. When she got to the third one she stood in line and was talking to me on a video call in Spanish. When the cashier saw her he turned off his light and said to the white lady in front of her that he would only be checking her groceries out. My mom said that she was waiting in line already and that she was behind them the whole time and he said no to find somewhere else. I spoke in English through the FaceTime call saying "mom what's wrong" and then the guy finally said he would help her and was absolutely rude. Great grocery store best prices in the area. Only here to comment on a observation. The heavy set fella with long black hair working the register needs some guidance on how to talk to customers. He should talk to some mangers or watch some YouTube videos on how to properly address customers and he would not get complaints on yelp. Hopefully that gets improved soon. read more

I just spent about 15-20 min in line because the cashier and customer (who was also a Winco employee) talked and laughed etc. Then the customer (employee) had to call her bank because her card wouldn't go through. Sigh. We were all so frustrated. This lady was buying alot of groceries and tons of booze. I don't care but come on, if you don't have money for food, don't buy booze. Seniors beware don't shop there they do not have any consideration of your needs. I was there shopping. They denied my ability to use a check because of DMV not having issued my plastic even though I had a paper updated address in an area where it is largely senior and we're moving into this area all the time they are the worst place that you can attempt to shop they have no consideration of you. They want you to use their ATM that has a fee or be willing to put in a private code and use your bank card in their hack able system and they wouldn't accept the updated address the DMV did give me and wasted my time. I have a real ID. It's good enough for the federal government and the TSA but I guess not for Winco. The representative seem toenjoy exerting power over a senior citizen And denied my ability to use it even though their Customer Service previously had said it was OK. Don't shop there. I love WinCo been shopping here since 2015. One of the best supermarkets you'll ever find. This morning around 4:45 is my first bad experience that I ever encountered here at WinCo. I pulled into a parking space and saw a employee pissing in the parking lot. I comfort the employee in the parking lot and told him to use the bathroom nobody wants to see and smell urine in the parking lot especially where customers come get groceries, he told that he would use the restroom but they lock the bathrooms at night to keep the homeless people from using it. Excuse me, you're a business that customers shops at, a grocery store at that. I don't care nothing about that, you suppose to have access to public restrooms for customers during business hours and to your employees. I don't know what idiot in charge came up with this bright iea to lock the restroom at night and have your employees urinate in the parking lot, but WinCo needs to come down here and investigate this situation. A lot parents will not take it lightly especially when it comes to their kids seeing a man or woman running outside to urinate. If your cleaning department don't want to do their jobs and clean the restroom terminate their job. You got one job and someone always needs a job and wants a job, do your job instead of locking the bathroom doors when you are open for business. I will contact corporate and show the video and make a complaint with the city council and file a police report. This is not acceptable. read more

It's Winco, it's ok with good prices and off the freeway, but we only go here when we have to, best bet if you can go early morning as it gets crowded and long lines. Plus with the rise of people getting sick, you should try to get here really early to avoid being around a lot of people. And watch your back especially at night, I really wish they'd hire more security guards, there are a lot of sketchy people in the parking lot & more than once I've seen old vans & trailers parked there with people living in them going around panhandling or looking thru car windows-just watch your back. read more

I cannot give 2.5 stars but that would be more appropriate. It's a mixed bag shopping at Winco. It was a little better but the last few years things have declined. There produce quality is consistently horrible. I can speak to the produce we buy; cucumbers, bell peppers, mandarin oranges, Roma tomatoes, strawberries, and avocados. These are often already spoiling or will a day or two later. Some things the prices are good but often the most common items are not on sale like they would be at other grocers. Often flies in the bakery with the pastries or in the deli. When they have good prices on produce it's often only for a few quantity. The hours is a plus and having the bulk is also a good thing. Winco has a lot of pricing errors. I often have to waste time in the customer service line to fix them. Today one sign that was posted. First it says $1.48 each then in the left bottom corner it says First 4 @ 1.78? It should say First 4 @ 1.48. Then across the isle it says $1.48 for the first 5? This is contradicting the other sign. First time for everything! I've never been to a WinCo store. Everything in California is expensive. I'm surprised at the prices at this location. I really despise purchasing beverages in Cali because of the deposits. (Ex. .05 cent in addition to The drink payment amount). I Enjoyed shopping at the location. The produce looked inviting and so did the seafood section. I didn't spend alot of time in this store because I had to head back to the truck. Crunch time! read more

During the quarantine shopping frenzy I stood in line at winco on a sat for 3 hours. Winco really stepped up to the plate to deliver service during my visit. They offered a free beverage while we waited in line. They allowed only so many people at a time to shop. The line to check out was very organized. They did limit the butcher dept to two meat products and other high demand items. I was shopping for my 93 year old mother. I was able to obtain everything on her monthly shopping list. I've been shopping at this business for some time now. It's always clean. Nice atmosphere. The restroom are always clean. The food is great and at reasonable price. Everything about this establishment is great but there are two things that have caught my attention on multiple occasions. 1.The water filling station it used to be fast to refill the water gallon but now it takes forever to do so. The pressure simply is just way too slow and people rather go somewhere else. 2.some of the cashiers are just not polite to customers whatsoever. On many occasions I have noticed that they might be and sound a little racist towards the customers. As of now I haven't hurt of anyone complaining but it's just a matter of time.
