I LOVE WinCo!!! This store makes it possible for people on a budget to eat like they are kings!!! Granted, they have a very limited selection of organic food, but their produce section is wonderful and often has exotic fruits and vegetables that I don't see in any other grocery stores. (Dragonfruit, anyone?) If you are a meat eater, GO HERE. I have never seen such consistently low, pardon me, RIDICULOUSLY LOW meat prices. And again, excellent quality. Tha quality is wonderful, they have a good selection of foreign foods and specialty items and their flavored coffee selection is fantastic! This place beats Smith's and Harmon's hands down. The only advantage I would say Harmon's has over WinCo is their selection of fine cheeses, artisan bread and specialty olive oils, but if you are looking for good, basic food at very affordable prices, "This is the place". (Hee! Hee! Couldn't resist) Keep in mind that like with CostCo, they keep their prices down in part by NOT accepting credit cards. Debit cards, cash and food assistance cards are fine. read more

I made mistake on my price. I realized that it was more expensive then I thought when I saw the receipt so I decided to return it but the stuff told me this is your mistake they have this new policy they can't do anything with it. I didn't even go to my car. I paid my things and realized it was more expensive right there I wanted to return. So who ever made this policy is a perfect person, never makes a mistake. Wow for a poor college student this place is incredible. Huge selection of anything you could want, and the prices are much cheaper than any other bulk grocery store out there. I was shocked at the great selection (and reduced prices) of produce, dairy, and shelf food. read more

What kind of store dosen't even bag your groceries?! The complete lack of customer service at this place ensures that I will never return. Come on, you don't even take credit cards? I know this is to keep costs down, but it is really helpful for customers. But, once you start looking, Winco isn't about customers. They are about their bottom line. Anything and everything to keep their costs down and their bottom line up, they will do. Everyone says they have great prices, and on certain items they do. But on other items they are really high. I live 2 mins from this place and prefer Target or Macey's. They care about their customers. read more

Ahhh Winco, how I do love thee. Late night trips to avoid the crowds. Wife and I try to avoid the fresh produce section (LoLo's in Provo tends to be cheaper, Rancho in Provo is a good choice also, but some people may not be into that). Other than that, the prices are great. You could get lost in the Bulk section, there's simply so many things that you could walk past and think, "Hey, I need that!" The Meat section is awesome for your average needs, prices are usually better than most other stores in the Valley. Sure, the aisles might be confusing, they're huge. Besides that, the only gripe I have is with the Bulk Food bags. I wish they were a little thicker. In the times I've been there, we've had bags of bulk rice split on us 3 times at checkout. Other than that, try swinging through at night to avoid the crowds. There's been some nights when the line was 4+ deep, but that's uncommon. We've usually been in and out quickly. read more

Though WINCO in most locations have great customer service, the OREM store does not! Every time I go into this store, I end up waiting at least 20 or more minutes in line to check out. (Today, I waited for over 30 mInutes!) Not putting enough checkers to work tells me that this store does not value it's customers. I will not shop at this store again. read more

The prices are great & they offer things you can't get elsewhere. They even offer dry-ice which is wonderful for keeping your frozen foods frozen on the way home in the hot, triple digit heat of summer, except they expect you to purchase 10 pounds packages of the stuff when a 1 pound or less chunk is all you need. Ugh. I hate this place. So much. It's got this horrible warehouse-y feel to it and everything is confusing. The signs for the aisles are incomplete and don't actually tell you what you can find in each massive aisle. It's like it was aiming for being Costco but just ended up being a circle of hell. I also can never seem to find anyone to ask where to find specific items. That said, if you're willing to brave the weird set-up, the lack of any assistance and the general weirdness, you can get to the bulk food aisles, which are cheaper than comparable bulk food aisles at other stores (kind of. If you know your prices.) The only problem is... and take this with a grain of salt because it's entirely possible I just always go on the wrong times/days)... it's constantly crowded by families with two or three carts that apparently need to have a small child alternating between standing guard at each food bin you need and glaring intensely at any interlopers. So... after waiting 20 minutes (not an exaggeration), you can get your stupid bulk gummy bears and chocolate wafers and question all your life choices that have led you to this particular moment in time. But hey. They have bulk gummy bears. Now, I'll admit that they have a good selection and fairly good prices, but since I've never been able to go to this place without having a panic attack, I'm going to put it on my list of places to avoid like the plague. So, if you're willing to brave hordes of shoppers who will literally run into you with their carts in an attempt to get ALL the food RIGHT NOW, this is an awesome store. Just not for me. read more

Yes it is lacking on organic foods, but it does have my favorite items: Dave's Killer Bread, Tillamook cheese and ice-cream, and Naceys vanilla yogurt. The bulk bins are a reason to come here alone. From pasta to granola to dried fruit to sweets. They have it all! I'm so glad that Winco has come to Utah. Where else would I find all this. Also it seems most Utahian haven't discovered this gem yet. Typically Winco is a mad house of crazy shoppers, but here it is nice clean organized and lacking the bazillion people, it is nice. Two things you should know before venturing to Winco one you bag your own goods so bring a bag and your mad bagger skills two you can only pay with check or debit. read more

Big warehouse grocery stores used to overwhelm me so much that I refused to even walk through their doors for years. But, now as a grown ass adult who is always looking for the best deals, I have come to not only like, but love these kind of stores and Winco is a cut above them all! My husband and I usually go to Winco every two weeks and are always amazed by how much food we can get for such inexpensive prices. I've always had luck finding the things that I need with prices typically below those at other local stores. I especially love the huge bulk item section which has everything I never knew I needed. Make sure to check their manager specials items in the deli section to get some even better deals on fresh food. read more

Winco isn't a perfect grocery store, but it's the best one in Utah valley. Great selection, fresh produce, and the best prices in Utah. Go at an off-time because it gets pretty crowded on weekends and evenings. Oh, and you'll have to have cash or a debit card; they don't accept credit. read more

My new favorite place. It's Wal Mart and Costco combined! Everything I need. It's incredible.

I like Winco a lot. They offer a good variety of products and sell brands that you don't often see around here. My only problem with Winco is their produce, it's gross. Probably some of the worst in Orem. It's almost like their tell their produce clerks avoid throwing things away until the vegetable or fruit has melted away from rot. Frequently you have to dig through the wrinkled bell peppers, or shift bags of potatoes to get some that aren't green or starting to grow roots. It just doesn't look as fresh or crisp or clean like other stores. If you want great produce go to Harmons in Orem. Also it wouldn't hurt for them to install a cold drink cooler for soda and other drinks. More than just the coolers at the end of the checkout lanes. read more

Winco always has a great selection of just about everything you need to keep your family well fed. Prices are usually quite competitive apart from some fruits and vegetables. I love that they are open 24/7 but it is somewhat frustrating if you forget your debit card as they don't take credit. All in all i've never felt as though they robbed me with pricing vs. how much you get for it. read more

i love winco, the grocery store itself is honestly my favorite, and the staff has never hesitated to do their best to help me. the only issue i have with the place is they aren't strict enough about their 15 items or less at self checkout so i always seem to be waiting longer than i'd like to be in the self checkout like when it is supposed to be quick and easy. read more
