The employees are also nice and helpful whenever I ask them questions, which is great. I always expect employees to be kind and polite to their customers. CONS: Low selections. I heard a rumor from someone in my neighborhood that this Walmart gets the overstocks from the American Fork store. I think this is true because they're always out of different kinds of cereals that I get at other locations, different shapes of pastas, petite diced tomatoes with no salt added, and more. I remember one time they had almost 20 rows of frosted flakes! There are also limited entrances, and this location is smaller than most other locations. This doesn't bother me, but it does bother me that they have low selections of things I want. I've been satisfied with my experiences at this Walmart even though it's nothing extraordinary.

Ever since Ridley's took over, there have been many negative changes, most noticeably the long, long time it takes to check out. The checkers are almost all slow, and only a few of them are friendly. But, I know where everything is in the store, and I can usually shop quicker than I can check out so the time mostly evens out. Yesterday was the last straw though. The person who was bagging my groceries (Carter) talked to me very rudely, even chastised me and asked me personal questions. The checker was unbelievably slow, and I basically had no choice but to stand there and listen to this guy until I could finally pay and leave. I thought about talking to a manager, but the whole thing had taken so long, I just left. Promising/hoping to never have to set foot in the store again. You've lost a customer that visited the store at least twice a week.

The grocery store is setup in a traditional manner-bakery, deli, cold stuff along the outside walls, shelves of pantry items in the middle. I found a section of premade foods that you heat up-sort of like Costco, but not gargantuan portions. Yes, this is what ended up feeding my family for dinner. I'm not from the area, so I may not become a regular here. But if I find myself passing through, I will stop by and see what new yummies I need to take home.

Their meat selection is decent, but when I asked for thin-sliced steak for Bulgogi, I got blank stares. I actually had to explain it was like meat for a Philly cheesesteak. After some back-and-forth behind the counter, they said they didn't have a slicer and would have to do it by hand--like that was a big ask. You can find the same cuts for far less, just a few minutes away (including an actual butcher near the Lehi Costco). Same goes for their produce and shelf items. Even their over-priced house-brand rubs and marinated meats are largely forgettable. In the end, this place feels less like a specialty market and more like a novelty shop for people with money to burn.

I ended up buying some snacks, eggs and produce. The produce section is very minimal and basic. I only bought some apples, bananas and some lemons. So I didn't get a good look at the offerings, but there's a chance you might not find what you are looking for unless is a basic produce staple. The green apples had lots of bruising and some damage to ten, so I had to sort through several before finding ones I liked. The bakery section had tons of yummy treats I'd never seen in other stores. But it was Sunday so the bakery itself was closed. The aisles all seemed to be well stocked. I found what I was looking for including a dozen eggs for $6.99. It's a lot pricier here than other bigger chain grocery stores. That hurt a bit. Checkout was abysmal as only one check stand open, and the checker was either new, or not the brightest, as he was like a sloth in no hurry to move quickly. He was friendly tho. I'll definitely give it another try when I'm feeling better and do price comparisons on what I normally buy to see how much more pricey it is. But overall I appreciated the cleanliness and the fact it wasn't packed with shoppers.

They blame Food Club. They will not give you the price on their on-line add either. This is a joke. If there is an add put out with their name on it, they should honor it. This happens all the time too. Food Club may put the add out, but they better realize that it's Pioneer Market with the tarnished name. I have unsubscribed from their on-line add. I really don't like going there to get deals when they don't honor the deals.
