Was pleasantly surprised. We got a winter wordle and an iced latte with sugar free hazelnut. Not too sweet, and coffee was good

But on the verge of starving to death, we ordered simple breakfasts and they were a delight. Sausage, egg and biscuit all tasted great and Mrs. E's Croissant Breakfast sandwich was light and airy with wonderful flavours. What a pleasant surprise! A little cold stone creamery contraband and we were back on the road. Try the Cake Batter Sprinkle ice cream sandwich or the Savory Strawberry shake. Both excelled on the yum scale. The folks here were adequately friendly. No warmth, but professional. Over the years I've come to discover that some folks are overly friendly/outgoing and some grunt and barely give you the time of day. As long as they are doing their jobs, I'm satisfied. No report on the ambiance, but the drive thru was fast and efficient. A big thumbs up to this TH! BACKGROUND: If you're new to the world of Tim Horton's, Tim's is currently Canada's largest "quick service restaurant chain". The bake shops are Canadian in origin but can be found in about a dozen states in the Eastern/Midwestern U.S. They are also represented in a few foreign countries such as Ireland, The Philippines, Qatar and even China. Yes, they are best known for coffee and donuts but offer quite a bit more. A small selection of breakfast/lunch sandwiches, soups, paninis and wraps. Baked goods include donuts, cookies, muffins and Timbits, their signature bite sized donut holes. STEVEN E. weighs in: It's a matter of apples and oranges with me. Visit a Tim's and you'll understand it's a totally different animal than a krispy creme or a duncan donuts. I review TH locations by comparing them to other TH locations and use TH standards. 06/24

So one day while I was making my way around , I passed by a Tim Horton's and decided to give it a try. Since then I have eaten at or from Tim Hortons at least 5-6 times since moving up here. This one is located in Lima, OH almost an hour from where I live. I usually eat here if I make a shopping trip into Lima either to have a meals, a snack to keep me going, or to take a box of donuts home with me. It's conveniently located to stores I frequent in Lima. It should also be noted, that it also doubles up as a Coldstone Creamery, which is pretty versatile if you think about it. Still I would love to give it a better rating than 3 stars, it's just that my experiences here run the range from great to terrible. I have received both good service here and really bad service. I once had a time where I was given a box of donuts with seemingly random choices and with donuts I did not order and like... something I did not find until I got home. I will also say that I am not thrilled with the donuts either... although they sometimes come up with some cool innovative ones (Oreo cookie donut, Fruit loops donut), I prefer the taste of Dunkin. Their iced coffee, though, heavenly! One of the best I ever consumed anywhere. Definitely worth buying! I also do prefer their breakfast sandwiches to Dunkin. But, they are only slightly better. All except for one, I had the first time I came. They had a limited time breakfast sandwich which was a maple waffle breakfast sandwich, omg! If that was a permanent item, i would up my review just for that. It is certainly worth a try.

The Met has a policy that your server gets to proudly wear a crown if their name is mentioned in a five star review. Love that policy!! Wear it proudly Ashely!! The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. I'm thinking most all things on the very large menu were probably very good. They seem to care about the details. We also shared some ice cream cookie sundae concoction that was 5*. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!
