For the first time, I tried some food here and the chocolate coffee brownie is fantastic! They have many flavors of coffee and smoothies and daily homemade pastries. There's a great indoor seating area as well as an indoor/outdoor seating area with a fireplace and comfy seating close to the lake and in the heart of Celina, I recommend stopping by service is super friendly although it does take a few minutes if you're going through the drive-through. I was in town for a wedding and had some time to burn this morning and so I found this cute coffee shop near the lake. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. On the outside when you arrive it looks like a small coffee shop with small town vibes. When you walk in you're greeted by unique and mostly updated interior. When I walked up to the counter to order I noticed the incredible selection of options this place had and the very friendly staff member helped me pick something that sounded good. When my latte arrived it tasted amazing. Funky monkey is what I got. On their menu they say their "specialty lattes are must haves" so I had to dive in and give one of them a try. After a couple hours of work I decided to try their food. They don't have many options for food but the options they do have are really good. The Raspberry White Chocolate scone is probably the best scone I have ever had and I am told they are house made by the owner. The breakfast sandwich wasn't nearly as special but it was still good. If you are looking for a good coffee shop with great options, awesome staff, cute scenery and a few treats to dabble on this is the place for you! If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be coming straight here for my coffee needs. read more

Such a cute little coffee place. I stopped in when I was in the area and got an iced coffee with their hazelnut cream and it was delicious. They have a really nice area to sit that opens up but it was raining pretty good so the doors were closed but on a nice day this would be the perfect spot to sit and have coffee with friends or even by yourself. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. read more

What a great Celina coffeehouse! Hazelnut is owned by Jeff and Patty Hazel, and they are passionate about great coffee and a relaxing cafe atmosphere. If Jeff looks familiar, it's because he's the mayor of Celina. The atmosphere is relaxing and hip, and they've gone farmhouse chic...but unlike other trendy coffeeshops, Hazelnut actually uses local antiques to get that interesting flair. They even have a family heirloom as a table. They've put their heart and soul into their dream of a coffeehouse, and it shows. They roast their own coffee, and it is delicious. I had a Decaf Latte...i was happy to hear that they have a special grinder just for decaf beans so that they don't get contaminated with caffeine from the regular beans. Coffee was good, but baristas didn't seem very knowledgeable about their roasts and teas. When asked about a specific tea the barista told us she didn't know anything about it and just told us to smell it. We also asked for information on their different bags of coffee but barely got any help. **Update*** Since I had such a great experience last time, I have been going in for an iced latte before work about once a week. I am so disappointed in how long it takes! I waited in line for I've 15 minutes for my coffee on Thursday and there were only 2 cars ahead of me. I appreciate that each drink is fresh, but I was almost late to work waiting on my drink that then took another 5 minutes to prepare. I'm not sure if there have been staffing changes or what, but it will be a while before I go back. They never even acknowledged the long wait, let alone apologize for it. Drove through today and decided to grab a coffee and a pastry on my way to work. I was blown away by the drink and the pastry was pretty good too! I had a large iced Carmel latte and a praline brownie. The latte was made absolutely perfect. I had to wait a few minutes, which is a good thing because it was fresh made, and not some syrups thrown together with ice! The brownie was a little dry but the flavor is out of this world! I also want to note that both young ladies that helped me today were great! The one taking the order and money was very helpful as I was navigating the menu for the first time and the second employee that gave me my drink and brownie was very happy and bubbly, which is great! read more

This coffee shop is a breath of fresh air for this area. The atmosphere is relaxed and sophisticated. The owner was working and personally took care of me and my husband. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We had great service from all the staff. The coffee is excellent! After being really disappointed with Brew Nation, we are so happy to find this place right around the corner.
