Win's Eatery is fairly new (as of December 2024) and I tried it earlier this week. I was impressed with the quality of food and friendly service! When I went in I was warmly greeted by a waitress who seated me at a table even though I was just getting takeout. She told me to take my time and offered me some free hot tea since it was so cold out. She was super nice and friendly! The restaurant is relatively small, which was full on a Friday at 1pm. While I would love to dine in sometime I might think twice going during peak periods. Also, being a new restaurant, it was super clean and welcoming. The food was so, so good! The Chinese food and dim sum felt really authentic and was previously only something I could get by traveling all the way to Markham. I only got a few items but there's so much I'd like to try from their pretty large menu! The har gow and siu mai were really tasty and juicy. The har gow in particular were really big stuffed with plenty of shrimp! I got the deep fried pork chops with pepper salt and pan fried squid with spicy salt. Both were very flavorful and had a good spicy kick to them! They're my favorite and I'm so happy I can get them in Markham now! While the food was all so delicious, I found it a bit pricy. The main dishes I got (the pork chops and squid) don't come with rice, so you need to order that separately. And I didn't get as many pork chops as I had hoped for $18. The prices don't break the bank but are a tad on the high side for my liking. Overall, I'm over the moon that I can get quality Chinese food and dim sum in Stouffville! Everything I've tried so far are delicious and I'll definitely be back for more!

The silky steamed egg with minced pork was one of the 3 free items, and it was delicious! Though I do wish they didn't steam the egg in the plastic conditioner (you know, we are constantly eating microplastics). Nonetheless, the food was great. I'll probably have to try the sweet and sour pork in-house next time. Do not sleep on the salted egg yolk chicken wings either. Everything was so good. Service is very fast, they are very fast paced and you can notice they work hard. Ambiance is very cool, they have a very old school chinese vibe going on. Also, when I came back with my parents, they loved all their dishes! Trust me that really says something!

My favourite go-to items are their Shanghai pan fried bao, cured sausage claypot rice (to get that crispy layer at the end), and all the rice noodle rolls! Recently ordered 2 of my favourite claypot rice for takeout- Chinese Cured Meat & Sausage, and Minced Pork & Preserved Veg. The rice and toppings comes baked in a tin foil container. It also comes with soup, veggies, and sweet soy sauce. Tin foil definitely can't replace the actual claypot experience though.

The value and size of the dishes was excellent. We had to adjust our order expectation after seeing a table of seniors with their set menus dishes come out. A big smile came to my face because it was going to be excellent. Food came out fairly quick. The congeee was the right consistency and just the right amount of toppings. Loh bak goh was a generous portion, and was tasty. The Jah leung and HK style Rice noodles were smooth and excellent that the server just handed us the peanut sauce and hosin mixture to pour on to our hearts delight. I only wished that I had a separate stomach as the tables that came in after 11 had more of the hand pulled noodles. I'll definitely come back for that as I think that's is something my family would definitely enjoy. I like how spacious he dining room is, plenty of tables and well kept. I appreciated the art they had on the walls - definitely showed culture and skill of the noodle makers.

The parking lot is shared with many other shops and many have reserved spots infront of their shop making the parking exercise a little tedious. The setup is like a canteen where you order Togo or there are a few tables to enjoy with. There is a hot water boiler if that's your beverage of choice. I chose the BBQ pork and duck over rice and found the pork very fatty and skin a little chewy (not the crisp burst in your mouth texture). The duck on the other hand was well seasoned but chewy. The meat was tough in a not so pleasant way. The rice was on the harder side (there are so many preferences here and will not cast judgement. There was plenty of sauce on the rice but did not have a strong flavour to enhance the flavours just to look nice. The accompanying sides - marinated Tofu and cabbage was nice and refreshing. The soup was well flavoured and washed down the food nicely. I will lineup back in the FMP food court for the BBQ fix and wish the best for this newer establishment. **they did sell out of their suckling pig rice and may come back to try it out.

Came w/ my family because we had read and heard that their food was very affordably priced and the portions were big. The menu was very much cantonese cuisine with some hakka specialties sprinkled throughout. The standout dishes (from what we ordered) were the braised duck with pickled plum sauce and the hakka style stuffed tofu with minced pork which was one of the aforementioned hakka specialties. I liked all the dishes except for the complimentary dessert soup (it was purple rice and taro soup w/ sago). It tasted extremely watery. Seating was quite spacious and the service was quite good. We arrived just before prime dinner time so by the time our first dishes were getting to the table, the resto had started to fill up rapidly. Would return! The only caveat is obviously that they're located past elgin mills which is a lil out of the way for Richmond Hill lol.

Their per plate cost is higher than some other Dim Sum restaurants, but each item's size makes it almost twice the amount of food. We were here as a party of three to enjoy their brunch. Their menu is very clear and self-explanatory, the plate size is priced and any special dishes have their offer right next to the item. Once you've filled it out, a staff member will review and enter the order and return your order form with a copy of the kitchen's order. As your items arrive, the server will check it off the list. Double check your list and/or call someone over if anything is taking too long. Everything we ordered seemed to have been freshly made to order so the first few dishes does take a bit of time, about 5-10 mins before the whole order was completed in about 30 mins. The atmosphere at Lobster Port is very bright and open, they have a decently high ceiling and good spacing between tables and have separate private dining rooms for private events/parties. The service and plating is very professional and upscale as well. The tea service comes in three pots, the hot water pot to refill the brewing pot, which you use to refill the serving pot, which itself is on a tea light to keep it warm. The tea is strong and refills are free as expected at a Chinese restaurant. They have a cash discount on the menu if you eat in early on M-F excluding holidays. Due to the portion size, start you order with around 2-3 dishes per person before adding on. We took some home as leftovers at 9 total dishes. We ordered... - the deep fried taro pork dumpling: the taro is very fresh and not oily - the steamed signature bbq pork rice noodle roll: the filling is very well balanced and fully stuffs the rice noodles and sticks very well to it, it is the best dish by far of all the Dim Sum I've tried - the lotus leaf sticky rice was very fragrant and stuffed with fillings - the pan fried turnip cake was super soft and fluffy - the siu mai was so large it looks like two in one - the har gow was massive and filled to the brim - the steamed spare ribs with taro: was pretty mid, it's good but nothing special - the crispy crusted baked sago pudding: was interesting, eat it right when it comes out to be fresh and hot, but can definitely pass on this, its basically like a hot rice pudding Overall, the food was very balanced, clean tasting, not oily, and under seasoned (in a good way). Their soy sauce is very light and fragrant and goes with everything well. Will definitely be coming back to try the buns and other steams items.
