Simple, delicious and plentiful food. Since I started working around the area, Win Hing is my spot to go to for a classic Chinese take out. The lady behind the counter is extremely nice. A few weeks back I wanted my food to stay and not take out and so instead of putting the food on the counter for me to take to my table, she brought the food to me. This is what you call customer service. Folks, I would highly recommend getting their kung pao chicken with white rice. I used to give this place a 5/5, but since the new family took it over it is not always consistent with quality/flavor. The fried wontons seem soggy and chewy among other things. We have been ordering here since I was little and still do. Kitchen looks clean and well kept. They have good lunch specials. read more

I tried to order take out over the phone but my reception was bad. So when I got there I told them who I was and they were super friendly about it. The food came out fast and it was delicious. Got egg drop wonton soup and pepper steak- tender and juicy. I would give it 5 stars but the ambiance is just okay. Not a real "sit down" type of place. read more

Sorry to have to post this, since we used to like their food and if I didn't see what I did, we would probably still be ordering from them. This past Friday, 4/27/2024, I had the urge for their wonton soup for a quick lunch. Unfortunately, when I was there to order, the chef was on his knees cleaning out an overflow from under a refrigerator or freezer. This alone would've have bothered me, but as he prepared to make my soup, he didn't was his hands and actually used them to put the greens and shredded pork into the cup. No gloves either. This is one of two places where I truly enjoy the food. If you are fan of boneless spareribs you wont find them any better then here. These are thick meaty pieces in a nice sauce that you have to eat with a knife and fork. No meat scraps like you get in so many other places. Their General Tso's chicken is nice and well spiced and lots of sauce perfect for mixing in your rice (I prefer white rice for this dish). For my sweet and Sour pork or chicken I like to have the fruits and vegetables in my sauce and they will accommodate. I like Pineapple, Carrot, and Peppers at least. Many other places seem to not care about these ingredients any more. My wife knows that is Chinese is a possibility for the night to call me before I leave work so I can stop here. But there have been time when I have made the 20 minute drive past at least five other places to get their food.. To my experience the only places where they lack is the wontons (fried or in soup) In either case I have had better. Theirs are no better or worse than any other place I've tried. If they get this down I'll be adding a fifth star!!! read more

Been searching for a new go-to Chinese food restaurant, my boyfriend and I have only had good experiences with Win Hing! We get it every time he comes to visit. Excellent Chinese food for a local take out. The food is always fresh and very tasty, not oily/greasy. Very generous with the shrimp in their shrimp dinners, but I always order a few more for $2-3 dollars more. Never had a bad meal there. A must try!! read more

So disappointed in this restaurant. Have been going there for years There was a new woman behind the counter who was unsmiling, rude and provided no customer service. I asked for extra sauce on my order when I telephoned it in. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order, I asked if they had put extra sauce on it. She rudely told me she had done so. When I arrived home, there was NO sauce on the order. This is the second time I've received an order that was incomplete and did not reflect what I had ordered. It makes me sad to see the low start count on here. I literally travel from Queens, NY and make it a point to stop here whenever I see friends or family. The food is delicious and the staff are super nice -- they even remember special requests after a while and I don't need to ask for them any more. This is the greatest Chinese food on Long Island, the food is great and the people are very nice. I always go there when I get the chance.

Solid Chinese with very good won ton soup and fried rice. No complaints except for the sesame chicken. Didn't think the chicken was very good was kind of tough and stringy more than once so I won't order that anymore. I was not satisfied with any of the others, so happy I found Win Hing!! The food is delicious, they got the order right, and it was ready quickly for pickup. Best chinese I have had in years!
