I came to see her a few days after Memorial Day, after a particularly stressful and distressing week. I also had stiffness and pain from sitting/sleeping in bad positions. Thus, I chose the 90 Minutes Massage. I'm SO glad I did. First, I appreciate the organized and succinct website. ALL important information is there, including Name, Phone, Address, Experience, Types of Massages, Pricing, and Acceptable Forms of Payment. I don't like digging around for that information, and it made booking my appoint easier. Second, Kim is a sole proprietor (as a previous reviewer mentions). I prefer small boutique spas and massages from independent masseuses. I always felt rushed the few times I attended a chain massage spa, but Kim gives you the FULL time for your massage. The room is very clean, with fresh linens, and no clutter. Kim is very warm and friendly. She obviously enjoys what she does, helping people feel better. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Third, the massage room has wonderful ambience. I love purple, so I was thrilled to see purple lights, and purple touches everywhere. The music is also very relaxing, not too loud or too soft. I think Kim is also blessed with a soothing voice, so that helps the overall mood, too. :-) And last, the 90 Minute Massage is one of the best I've had in a long time. What I like about Kim, is that she customizes her massage using various techniques. I felt her switch techniques when she came across a particularly large knot. Most importantly, she listens to you, if you need her to go deeper or harder, or stop if you feel any pain. I woke up with a little soreness, but no pain at all. The 90 Minute Massage includes Stretching. As someone who has done physical therapy for my knee, the Stretching really helped loosen tightness all over, especially my Achilles heels, hips, and IT band. I also want to mention that I have very sensitive skin, and I did not have any adverse reaction to the massage oil used. I almost cried in relief, when my massage was over. While it takes more than one session to get rid of all the knots, I feel normal again. I can't thank Kim enough. I highly recommend the 90 Minutes Massage for the Stretching alone.

The customization they offer is top notch and I appreciated the options. Once your form has been completed, you're taken back to the immaculate locker room and provided with a robe and sandals. This robe...WOW. It was probably the most lush piece of clothing I've ever placed upon my body. I wish they sold them at the spa because I would've purchased immediately with zero buyers remorse. You are shown a locker to place your belongings in with a lock, so you don't have to worry about leaving your purse/jewelry while you enjoy your chosen service(s). There is also a restroom and shower. Once changed, you migrate to the waiting area where water and tea is provided if you'd like. Okay, now to the best part, the massage... FIVE STARS. John was extremely professional, listened to my areas of concern and the 60 minutes felt like two hours. He was very meticulous and the pressure was exactly what I wanted, firm and deep. However, the knots in my back were absolutely killing me and I HAD to get them worked on before they got worse and caused me mobility issues. I searched for massage places in my vicinity and Healthy Thai popped up. Reviews looked promising so I called and they were able to accommodate me immediately. Tui Na is quite intense so I opted for the 90 minute deep tissue massage here which I figured would be comparable to the body work I am used to. The massage started off with my therapist (Pam) applying full body pressure on my legs, back and hips. She then diligently worked on every part of the body to relieve all the pressure points with her elbows and fingers. I asked for high pressure and she definitely delivered. I particularly enjoyed the head massage and the part where I was made to flip around and had my neck and shoulder worked on. As with all thai massages they stretch your body out and I like that this was towards the end sort of like a final litmus test to see how well your body is flowing. Very reminiscent of the many amazing massages I got while traveling through Bangkok and Koh Samui many years ago. I was sore a day or two afterwards which is pretty normal when tough knots are worked on, but I am so relieved that I can move my arms around much easier and the pain is gone. In addition to the actual massage I found the facility clean, soothing and the staff was very professional. I loved the faint smell of tiger balm in the sheets and the beds you are massaged on are heated which is actually quite a nice touch. The only thing I would improve is the pillow situation, at times it became uncomfortable to have my head switched to the side, perhaps they can make you lay face down in to a donut pillow or something that mimics a massage table. Other than that, I highly recommend this wonderful place. If you are in pain and need relief, look no further than a few sessions here and I am sure you will feel brand new in no time!!
