I'm honestly shocked at how overpriced Refresh Thai Spa is for what you actually get. The service was average at best, but the pricing reflects what you'd expect from a luxury spa experience -- and this simply wasn't that. The atmosphere felt pretty standard, nothing upscale or memorable, and there were no extra touches that would justify the high cost. For the amount charged, I expected exceptional service, attention to detail, and an overall elevated experience. Instead, it felt like I paid premium pricing for a very basic massage. There are plenty of other places in Plano offering similar or better quality for significantly less. I don't mind paying more when it's worth it -- but this absolutely wasn't. Very rude and dismissive. The website said they take walk-ins. Prior to me driving to the location, I called and asked about walk ins and they said yes they accept walk-ins. When I get there I asked about a simple service (shoulders and neck only). They said, "no we don't accept walk-ins" and didn't even offer to schedule me for another day/time. We got a Groupon for a couples massage and feel much better afterwards! It was easy to schedule an appt and they had plenty of times/ days to choose from. I don't recall selecting the type of massage we got, but I assume it was a combination of some sort, as it involved some stretching and an actual massage. My masseuse somehow knew exactly what I needed and how much pressure to apply because I felt so much better afterward. They do walk in your walk if you'd like them to. I came here based on the yelp reviews, but maybe I just caught them on a bad day. The lady at the front desk was nonchalant and although I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment, I didn't start till 12 minutes after my appointment time. My masseuse was polite however she had her AirPods on and was listening to a podcast the entire time which was really distracting and not relaxing at all. Michelle did ask me a few times if the pressure was OK and I asked for more pressure however she continued with her pace as usual. I'm not sure if she couldn't hear me or if she didn't understand me but once she started putting oil on my back and not really massaging, I was ready for the whole situation just to be over and get out of there. FYI, they are going to charge you three dollars extra if you pay by credit card so be prepared for that. read more

Had my first two hour combination massage with them this week. I was a walk-in at 4pm on a Thursday. They took me right in a nicely lit room with soft clean sheets that smelled great. Nora (?) was my technician and she was incredible! She spoke English and had no problem communicating w/me and was aware of my response to her pressure asking me if I wanted more or less when moving to a new area of my body. Do yourself a favor and treat you to a massage! I do wish their booking online allows you to select a technician when confirming your appointment. Went in for a couples massage with my fiance, he left happy, but I left very mad. I wanted to leave a 1 star but they were nice, clean and professional, and my fiance loved his massage. They asked for preferences before starting but I don't think they actually read what the charts said before working on us and for some reason I was paired with the male and him the female, which I generally do not mind, but my fiance is a bodybuilder and I'm a petite woman. He was too gentle, I think he was affraid I would snap or something because I'm literally tiny, which both people mentioned as we were leaving. Very disappointed! There is this guy and a girl who did our couples massage today at 7pm. I did not get their names, the girl seems to not speak English but I am pretty sure she understands what I am saying. The girl made my massage a very uncomfortable and un relaxing experience to me. She barged into the room without knocking like we are not naked inside, she comes in with her body bag giving an impression like she is ready to leave, the room was so bright I had to request to dim, the massage was awful, disorganized and all over the place. I tried to communicate and ask what type of massage I am getting and she just answered 50mins, 45 minutes. At this point I am already disappointed. She left for 10mins came back and said no one else is there. So I have to continue with her. Her movements remained the same, and very clumsy that whenever she changes position I can feel her bumping into me, one time she even suddenly leaned onto my back with her fingers to change position like I am sort of part of the table. I am so sick this week with body aches and wanted to feel better and this is what I got. The whole hour was horrible that I just asked to stop before the time. My body and my hair was so oily when I left. Please don't come here. There are comparable prices out there. read more
