Found this place on maps and the owner and staff were very nice. They explained some of the menu options as we each ordered wraps or tortas. The wait was not long at all, we chatted with another customer as we sat down. Great ambiance, the music is lively. 10/10 for the steak or carnitas torta and tuna salad wrap. ZERO STARS Sadly I order from this place multiple times a week and have leave this review. However, I ordered a plain corn muffin toasted with butter and received a partial blueberry muffin with green mold in the blueberries and the outer parts of the muffin were visibly stale. I called to inform the restaurant and was transferred over to the manager who was very defensive, loud and as I was voicing my complaint he also spoke over me and did not want to hear me out. Instead he went on about how they never received a complaint ever before mine. I told them there's a first time for everything and I just wanted to inform them about the situation. The manager said he wasn't the one who cooked it which was pretty obvious but I told him by him being the manager he is accountable for overseeing the shipments, food and his staff and what they do. I also informed him if I had eaten that I could of needed and possibly ended up in the hospital it wouldn't look good on them. He went on and said yes and you would have went and gave us the bill and we would of paid it. That remark was just plain rude and he had no empathy or took any accountability for what happened. I understand things like this rarely happen but to have a business not take accountability and just disregard their customers complaints is alarming. Hopefully they'll get it together and this will be a learning experience for them in the further. (FYI-I did request a refund after I knew I wasn't getting anywhere with them and refused their offer of a new muffin) read more

I always opt for the waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon when ordering from Wimpy's because it's the perfect post-drinking night meal. The staff is efficient, nice and get your order to you within minutes. I've been in the restaurant as well and it's fairly clean and enough seating space. This is my go to place for an affordable meal for myself and my two boys, but the delivery person refuses to bring it to my apartment (3rd fl) knowing i have two small kids 1 and 5. I pay and tip through the app so what are you worried about? But its funny when i tip with cash they bring it up without a problem. Wimpy's is evil...only because they opened up their newest location very, very close to where I live. When I first moved to NYC, I lived in Washington Heights and they had a location there. Moved into the area after visiting periodically for the past 2 years. After my third visit I've come to the conclusion that I have definitely hit the jackpot. The burgers are most definitely a bang for buck bargain. Not only are they massive, they also taste great. Stick with the plain or the pepperoni, as I found the sausage to be a little vile. Their menu goes beyond pizza though. They offer up breakfast sandwiches, gyros, burgers, etc. All of the fast food American fare that is bad for you basically. Is it cheap? considerably, are the burgers huge? very much so, don't expect quantity over quality here, its a good burger for cheap in Spanish Harlem. It's quiet, small, and fast. If you're expecting something five star, you clearly can't read or are pretentious to a fault. In a place where there's a Little Ceasars and a Subway about 5 blocks away, it stands out if you want a burger. I've never been a fan of eating a thousand of something so White Castle was always a last resort. Wimpys is just the right amount of burger for the price with little hassle. For the prices here, the food is pretty great quality. This one is seriously half a minute from my apartment, which is evil, because their burgers are amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the pizza, but the vegetable one is really fresh tasting and loaded with veggies for less than $5 per slice. I think the staff is nice, kind and reliable. It is by no means exceptional and the burgers aren't always very consistent - sometimes the patty is thick and juicy, other times it is thin and dry. i has driven by many times to take the local route when the fdr was a horror traffic nightmare and notice the shop called wimpys. the only other wimpy i was aware of was the gladly pay you tuesday on popeye and my wimpy buddy porcelli the slob, but the yelp reviews got me curious and being in spanish harlem on a early sunday afternoon, i pray for no flying bullets on madison ave between 109th and 108th st unless its after i order and leave. the place is small and no real room to sit and enjoy your meal, so take out or delivery is way to go. the burgers are big juicy greasy sloppy and yummy. also pizza are huge, and they have cheesesteak sandwiches, gyros, and breakfast food also. this is really a hole in the wall dive, but nothing divey about the burgers , the joint however small is kept neat and clean and workers are friendly with customers. i will be back to try the jumbo pizza or some other juicy looking grub. the location area is not the greatest but just order your food during the day time and run.
