Stopped in for dinner and ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. It came out perfectly cooked with a nice sear on the outside and juicy in the middle. The seasoning was simple but brought out the flavor of the meat really well. I paired it with mashed potatoes and a side salad, both of which were solid. The service was friendly and attentive without being too much, and the place had a cozy vibe that made the meal even better.

The steak was alright, but not amazing. It was a bit chewy. The sauce helped. The portion was good. Overall, just an average experience.

Went for dinner. The steak was okay, but not worth the price. It was a bit tough. The veggies were good. The staff was friendly, but the food was just average.

Great value, great food! They are known for their ribs, no surprise! My first time eating at Pee Dee's was great- the service was quick, food was delicious and you get a lot for your money! I can see why it's so popular in the neighborhood, given we all can't hit up 5-star steak houses everyday, this place fills that need for good steak, bbq, anything you could want as a carnivore at a great price. And as many of my past reviews would indicate- I'm a sides girl all the way! Anyplace with good sides is for me! They have it all, mac'n cheese, crab, corn on the cob, loaded mash potatoes, fries, jumbo onion rings, collard greens, and the list goes on and on. And a side note- if the Clinton's (especially Bill) likes this place, you know it's good BBQ, c'mon, Billy boy knows his stuff! They've been known to order their election staff tons of food during election season as their offices are near by! For fast and convenient BBQ- this is ideal for anyone!

All this for $79... listen this was a great deal! Yes it's not Peter Lugers but it's way better than the last remaining tads steakhouse in times square. Everything was flavorful, huge bake potato perfect for sharing or leftovers. Crab legs were delicious! It's a perfect inexpensive alternative.

So apparently I have been spending a lot of time in El Barrio. Well, here is another popular restaurant in the area offering up American comfort food at low prices for the masses. I opted for a half BBQ chicken which I took with baked potato, cole slaw, and garlic bread. The sides were regrettable in their own unique ways. The "liquid butter" on the potato just made it too salty and made me wonder what the hell liquid butter is. The garlic bread was not grilled, and was splotchy in appearance -- I didn't like it. The chicken was prepared to order though, and I did like that. The BBQ sauce was simple and traditional, but it married well with the meat. My selection of dark meat was moist and tender, and I enjoyed it. For $6.99, the portions are incredibly large, so it is definitely a bargain. By carefully selecting your food here, I think you can consistently have a 3 star experience.

It's a perfect date night spot to share deliciousness with a loved one. My friend and I shared three flavorful dishes-- a radicchio salad, the Confit Duck Leg and the Paccheri, a pasta with house- made pork sausage and broccoli rabe. The duck was so tender it fell off the bone. The pasta was intricate and tasted perfect when it was first served then veered a tad salty as it marinated (but still great). The salad was gorgeous on its own but even better accompanied by the mains. The duck was probably my favorite, but every bite complemented the next thing so well, that all of my senses were thoroughly engaged. I truly was having such a deep experience with the food that at one point I asked my friend to stop talking so that I could properly take in all the flavors. Oops. She loved the food too, so thankfully she understood. We topped off the meal with the buñuelos. We liked the sauce, but I'd say it's not memorable. I liked my orange wine, and my friend was indifferent about her drink. It was a pricey dinner but such a worthwhile experience. Can't wait to go back.

I've come to the conclusion that my customer service expectations are just too high for this city. Ambiance: 7/10 Felt like I was in someone's unfinished basement. Too spartan for my taste.

There's a camaraderie in the room that invites you to slow down, connect, and truly experience both the conversation and the food. Everything feels considered. My best friend and I each ordered the prix fixe menu, and it was a journey from start to finish. I began with the Spicy Corn & Coconut Soup--honestly, unforgettable. The crispy shallots added just the right amount of texture against the velvety base, and each spoonful layered flavor in a way that felt both comforting and elevated. For my main, I had the kichuri, and Chef Alex Guzman absolutely shines here. He is a star--full stop. There's a clarity and confidence in his cooking that you can taste. The cilantro chutney was perfection, and the way the mint lingers alongside the spice... it's the kind of balance that only comes from someone who truly understands their craft. You can feel his care in every bite. I ended with the key lime pie, and all I can say is thank you. The whipped cream was fresh and airy, the lime zest bright without overpowering, and the crust tied everything together beautifully. It felt like a thoughtful, intentional close to an already incredible meal. I highly recommend starting with the guava mocktail, then pairing your main with the fig mocktail--both are perfectly crafted and complement the dishes so well. Also, sit at the bar. For entrees, we ordered the shrimp & grits, fried chicken with blueberry pancakes, catfish breakfast with scrambled eggs well done cheddar cheese & mac n cheese with bacon. This was our first meal of the day & the food didn't disappoint at all! You nearly get a half of chicken with the fried chicken & pancake meal. Tasted a piece of the chicken skin and it was delicious! Crispy with a slight Cajun seasoning taste. Catfish was great, not greasy fried perfectly! The eggs were fluffy but well done, like I asked. The Mac n cheese was good too, would've loved more cheese - but still good. Ordered another Bevy & Glass Church when the entrees came. Everything was perfect! DJ was playing all the good music! We will definitely be back again & would highly recommend this place.

The space and volume seemed to overwhelm the staff at times. Service was friendly and welcoming but also frazzled and disorganized. We never received our appetizer until we reminded them, and our drinks (sweet tea and lemonade) also had to be requested again after a very long wait. To their credit, they did pack up the crab cake appetizer to go and removed it from the bill, which we appreciated. The fried chicken, mac and cheese, and yams were all served on top of each other. If you dont like for your food to touch, this place will be a nightmare for you. I ordered fried catfish, collard greens and potato salad. The fried catfish was served swimming in collard green juice (there's a picture of it). It was also surprising that you only get one piece of catfish, which felt underwhelming for the price, especially since it was soggy. The potato salad was served in a small separate bowl, which is typical in many Southern restaurants for ALL side dishes. The mac and cheese had good flavor but the cheese wasn't fully melted. The yams were dry and not very sweet despite the menu description. The collard greens were on the sweeter side, which may work for some but wasn't my preference. The potato salad the only thing that was solid. Overall, it felt overpriced for the portion sizes and execution. The bartender seemed very skilled, and the drinks we saw being made looked great, though we didn't order any. After the long wait and missing appetizer, we skipped dessert and went elsewhere. The bathroom also needed attention and was not well maintained AT ALL! Ew The restaurant is very loud which didn't bother me at all but an FYI. It is also handicapped accessible and kid friendly. I really wanted to love the experience, but it fell below expectations in terms of service, cleanliness, and value. I might give them another try but no time soon.
