Us enjoying a birthday party at the location

This place was great! The food was delicious and the drinks were also good. It's actually larger on the inside than it looks. We also had a nice area in the back.

The food was amazing and delicious as always. Came here to celebrate my daughter 16th birthday she loves seafood and they didn't disappoint. She couldn't even finish it lol. The service was great. Our servers were outstanding and did everything we asked and needed.Thank ya'll so much and the beautiful lady who helped me on the phone that day thank you from the bottom of my heart for making everything go so smooth‼. The ambiance is loud music which I love and I love how the inside looks very nice vibes. It has a little dance area in the back I loved it all will definitely come back.

What can I say? I met these guys @ the Uptown Harlem Market fair in April 10th 2025, which happens every other Thursday throughout the summer. Checkout festival or their (2) locations on either E. 117th st or Frederick Douglass in NYC. Now, to the good part! The food is top notch. I ordered the Catfish & steak fries. The Catfish was very lightly breaded & the taste was amazing It wasn't overly seasoned , but tasty Yummy! I recommend, this restaurant.

Popped in today for brunch after my nephew's graduation. First thing I'll say is this is not a brunch place. This is a place for evening as such the service was a bit slow in the beginning. We were a party of eight and they did take gratuities upfront. Let me stop here to let you know that this is a cash only establishment. Something we were not aware of. Once the service got going, everything was quite good. The one thing I will tell you not to order is the cake -the whole cakes do not taste your time or money and they charge $70 for the cake; otherwise Jonathan and his entire team was fantastic. We enjoyed the vibe and the energy of the place and once the food arrived everything was quite good and as you will see, we had a little bit of everything. I love the fact that anything we were dissatisfied with Jonathan handled expeditiously and that is the reason for the four star rating. I have no doubt that if I came here at night when the vibe is alive that this might be a five rating. Memo to the restaurant- the whole cakes are either just bad or old - either way you're charging too much for them.

So i came here this weekend for a birthday dinner. This spot is cash only. Drinks were $20 a pop (for a drink in a plastic cup), plastic utensils, and a napkin dispenser. They created a space where you can dine in the back which was decorated nicely. But, the service was abysmal. The food was okay. I ordered crab cakes, mac and cheese and candied yams. The Mac was great. The crab cake were okay, and the yams were also okay. They had a pre fix menu for parties over 6 i believe. The options weren't plentiful, but it did what it needed. The pre fix menu comes with 2 pitchers of an alcoholic punch. The dj on Saturday was great. Will i come back, probably not. It left a little to be desired. We had a party of 9, and they don't take reservations, we had to wait super long for a waitress, food and drinks. No water was offered to us. Plastic everything! But, we made the best of it. They also had a cake cutting fee of $45 for plastic utensils that you get from the dollar tree. Whew! Talk about a swindle lol For a $95 dinner, i expected so much more. See pics below

Authentic southern food! Delicious and fresh! Looking forward to going back and trying new things there! The wings were so fresh and crispy! And the mac and cheese was slamming not too creamy but not hard and dry either as a rock.. just right ! Perfect consistently and flavor all throughout! I think it is worth the price point based off the portions I received!

Lighthouse Fish Market in Harlem is hands-down one of the best soul food spots I've been to. I had the catfish and shrimp with a side of mac and cheese and yams, and every bite was packed with flavor, seasoned to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sides tasted like real soul food, not just filler. The vibe in there is so warm and laid-back, like a true neighborhood gem, and the staff made me feel right at home. I also tried their signature drink; a mix of Lighthouse Punch and Rum Punch and it was the perfect balance of sweet and strong. You can tell they put love into everything they do here. Definitely coming back.

4 Piece Catfish Strips, Crab Cake Dinner

Stumbled on the restaurant after an accidental trip to Costco when the store was closed, but I can feel good about it because of the delicious seafood! The restaurant seems to be new given the balloons everywhere, and the decor is also nice. The inside is a bit dark during the day time however, so maybe better for a date. There is also a popping takeout counter in the front. As mentioned, the food was great! My favorite was the cat fish strips, yum! Only downside was that all the food felt a bit heavy and the prices are a bit high, otherwise would be 5 stars!

32 oz. Blue Lemonade

My niece saw Lighthouse Fish Market on IG and wanted to come with friends prior to their departures for college. We planned to dine-in on a Sunday at 6pm. Like some other venues, reservations aren't accepted on the weekend. You will pass the take-out counter and bypass the people waiting when you walk in. We were approached by the hostess and were lucky to not have a wait for a table of 7. The dining room has an open floor plan. It is a fun / lounge like ambiance with a DJ and available hookahs. We ordered a variety of meals from the menu and everyone was satisfied. From what I remember we had: crab cakes, chicken wings, catfish, crab legs, dip, pasta, cabbage, and candied yams. My catfish was freshly fried, lightly coated, seasoned well and not salty. I don't know who makes the cabbage but they are good! I wanted to drink the juice. Speaking of juice - I had the 32oz blue lemonade and it was delicious, not to mention a generous size. All in all, I would come back with friends or for takeout.

We had the mussels for an appetizer, lamb chops and bass. EVERYTHING was excellent! The flavor of the broth for the mussels was Devine, so much so my husband used his bread to sop up all he could. The bass had great flavor and came with sautéed spinach that was well cooked. It initially looked like a small portion but turned out to be plenty. The lamb chops were cooked to the requested temp and seasoned well. We left no crumbs. This one is definitely worth a try!

Our Server, Ramon, did an exceptional job. The staff did a great job at clearing finished items and everyone's timing was spot on. We started with the Tostones Rellenos con picadillo (Green plantains stuffed with ground beef). This was a great starter. Large enough to share and I enjoyed the drizzled sweet sauce and whole olives. Our entrees were: Palomilla Steak Platter (thin cut sirloin steak) and the Ropa Vieja (shredded flank steak). Both dishes were accompanied by white rice and we chose black beans and a side salad. This was the first time that I've seen Palomilla Steak presented totally cut into strips and it was a welcomed sight. The Ropa Vieja was perfectly seasoned and the amount of meat was thoroughly enjoyed. I capped off the meal with a Cortadito (A cortado is a Spanish coffee beverage consisting of equal parts espresso and warm, lightly steamed milk. The name comes from the Spanish verb cortar (to cut), meaning the milk "cuts" the acidity and intensity of the espresso. I appreciated the cookie on the side and each sip was amazing. Havana Central has various choices, to accommodate your time of day: lunch specials, a pre-theater menu, and a Happy Hour.

We stopped in before heading to a concert, and overall the food really hit the spot. We ordered the rasta pasta with chicken and the oxtails with rice and peas, plus patties as appetizers. The ambiance was cute and had a nice vibe, and the drinks were good as well. The only downside was the service--it was a bit slow since there seemed to be only one waiter covering the entire restaurant. Because of that, I'd probably avoid coming here if I'm on a tight schedule. That said, I'd definitely come back again when I have more time to relax and enjoy the experience.

Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. The kind of place where you're elbow-to-elbow with strangers but everyone's united by one thing... serious hunger. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared. Then came La Bandera Dominicana Braised beef swimming in savory gravy, yellow rice piled like a mountain, black beans doing their thing, and sweet maduros sitting on top like the victory flag. Simple. Comforting. Dangerous... because now I want it every week. Place gets busy, gets loud, gets chaotic... but it moves like a well-oiled machine. Years of experience and zero attitude. Just good people making great food. In a neighborhood full of tourist traps, this hole-in-the-wall is throwing haymakers. Sometimes the best escape in NYC isn't a rooftop...
